Was looking at buying a cheaper Ryobi one but after reading some reviews bought the DeWalt. Shares the same battery as my drill so I didn’t need to buy the charger or battery. Works pretty well and battery seems to last okay. Wish the handle was a bit better when you want to flip it over and use it as an edge trimmer. Suggest watching a video on YouTube to fit the guard as the instructions are much help.

Got this as a gift a year ago, excellent trimmer, get roughly 45 mins on high speed setting with a full charge, much quieter than my old pettol trimmer, auto line dispensing is awesome no mucking around, head rotates for clean edges and it's light.Only down side is it struggles with the thick vine grass weeds using the 2mm line it comes with, thicker line might help but not sure if that affects auto dispensing.Overall very good.

Good product, however been through two of them in 2 years, one motor seized and circuit board blew, 2nd one circuit board blew. Fault pretty common if you Google it. Other than that I love them.
4 years now and still great! Only problem is the cord material breaking and getting ito the soil. Would be GREAT if DeWALT came up with an alternative metal blade head!
Bought this today. So quiet and powerful. Easy to set up and use I was surprised how well the string bumps out as it shortens. Added to my Dewalt collection, very happy.
Purchased this about 18 months ago, but the motor just stopped working. We get a clicking sound when the trigger is pulled but nothing works.Would not recommend
The over heating trigger cuts in after short times of usage.The head design/fan catch’s grass clippings and requires constant cleaning.
Bought this roughly two years ago. When it worked it was fine, but it doesn't work a lot of the time.The motor will randomly not spin up when the trigger is pulled
Well built and right balance of weight. Whip as strong as petrol engine but so much less noise. Did about 50m length of nature strip with 1x5.0 battery (can still go on a bit I think).
