DeWalt 18V XR Brushless Universal Dust Extractor (Tool Only) DWH161N-XJ

I am a avid dewalt fan i would not bye anything els i find them both reliable and hard wearing even when i get the hump and chuck them.about they never let me down great product .

Not as loud as some reviews have suggested. Ideal for quick small jobs away from the Workshop. Can’t understand why some are Critical of the lack of Capacity, didn’t they check the specifications before purchasing?

This dust extractor is very well built but has very poor suction and gets blocked with even the smallest amount of sawdust. I would not recommend for anything other than drill dust.This is no reflection on the supplier who were excellent.

I tried the this item and it doesn't seem to be all that great. It doesn't fit on my DeWalt disc sander.

Where it attaches to the sander is poor keeps falling off classic traction unit itself is good need to improve the attachment area

At this time it would be difficult to assess how good the product is but being dewalt, would expect the best

For small jobs at home, this is the perfect extractor and it takes away a whole lot of dust and trouble. For bigger jobs this will be too small and not powerful enough. For the amateur DIY-er like me, this is an excellent machine. Small, powerful (enough) and mobile.

Disappointing

Nice quality and quiet BUT the adaptors are useless - nothing to connect with the standard Dewalt hose adaptor. Also the container is very small requiring frequent emptying. To be fair I am disappointed, as I am usually delighted with Dewalt tools.

Great little vac, didn't realise how much I would use this actually

A great little vaccum for DIY. Fills up very quickly when connected to a plane, unsurprisingly! The filter seems robust and can be cleaned out easily without damaging it. Unfortunately the wife also likes it so it's often to be found with a dead battery.

Very effective at reducing dust and swarf

I purchased this unit after damaging the dust collection bag on my cross-cut saw. I've not had a chance to use on the saw but have used as a vacuum cleaner and attached to an electric planer and it proved massively effective at reducing the airborne dust and swarf - mightily impressed for such a compact unit. Filter appears very durable and battery life is very good.
