Mitre 10 had an easy access to see what tools they offer online , this made it much more enjoyable to open up an look online to what suited my need in building my dogs new roof for her kennel . Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Dewalt fan, I have their large Table saw which is brilliant, and a Dewalt thicknesser which no other manufacturer comes close to, but this combo is a collection of their discontinued old models.Firstly, the chuck on the drill is plastic.Secondly, the led is set in the body near the trigger, (not down near the battery), which means it casts a shadow exactly where the drill bit meets the material you are drilling, which is super annoying.Finally, there is no life indicator on the batteries. (The little button you press which which shows you the state of the battery).I think Dewalt have packaged all their old discontinued models in one combo package to clear the warehouse.I will be returning them

I needed a new saw and wanted a driver so this combo pack suited me best. DeWalt are quality tools and you can see and feel that immediately. Pack comes with a couple of batteries which make the price worthwhile. I didn't think I would need the bag it comes with, but now I have it decided it is actually really useful.

I bought this drill and impact driver combo as I started a new job and all my previous tools were stolen. I've had Makita, Bosch and Milwaukee tools previously but none compare to the feel of these tools. Being a carpenter they get a hard time but the strength in drilling and putting in screws is in matched. 100% the best. Here is the job I've been building with my DeWalt tools
Drill lasted 3 months and it’s ridiculous because I thought it was a reliable brand.I took it back to the shop and it was sent away for repair, it would take up to 4 weeks to have it back, free of charge If it’s a factory fault, otherwise I will be asked to pay $60, that sounds ridiculous.Drill started smoking this morning while I was drilling a stud.I asked them to replace it in order not to stay 4 weeks without a drill but it seems like it wasn’t their problem.
I have used multiple brands before and love the quality that dewalt has. Have and still use my dewalt corded gear but this is excellent. Happy that it comes with two 5amph batteries as wouldn't waste time with anything less. By the time I've run one flat, the second is almost charged. A third batt would be ideal.
Great set of quality dewalt power tools. These have been great for home renovation. Great battery life with brushless motor. Quick release on the multi-tool is brilliant. Drill includes a basic hammer function and metal chuck.
When I opened the box. The Impact drill is a minor version of DCF885.It has one LED light on the bottom of front side around bit hole.single speed but you can handle with trigger is not a big deal. and It's nice price for me.and the multi tool. such an amazing one. when you're doing finishing job or something. this one is the answer for your job.Like it.
I brought this pack before starting my carpentry apprenticeship and this pack was perfect with setting me up with the basic requirements for the job.A+++ recommend for anyone startingI have recently upgraded to the Dewalt Tough System 2.0 which has been amazing getting these tools on and off site
Would be nice if the hard case had somewhere to store drill & driver bits.The dual-voltage battery must be removed to put back in the case; this is a requirement for safe shipping in some countries. If it was 18v only, that wouldn't apply.
