I’m very pleased with my DeWalt DCS331N jig saw.It was a really great price and decided to purchase.I wasn’t aware of the orbital action option my jig saw offered until I tried it, It’s really handy, and so easy to select this action. I was also pleased how easy it is to change the blade.Finally and very importantly the dust extraction tube is easily removed and refitted in seconds, and what’s more it actually works. I connect it to my Festool dust extractor for the complete dust extraction.

I have a smaller well known brand jigsaw but always get fed up with the cables trailing and worrying about cutting it. First thing I noticed straight away with this is how comfortable it feels when using it, plus with no trailing cables I felt more flexible and confident in my turns. I used the same blades as I had in the other one but this made very short work of the cuts. Again, less vibration too and very easy to operate. Great value and because I don't have space for the likes of a band saw, this will make life a lot easier for some of the cuts I need to make. Great tool.

A very good bit of kit, works right out of the box. Note:Pros -Solid base, good, heavy grips, easy to guide and feels secure.Variable speed cutting is great, including rotary angle (depending on precision / nature of wood / metal).Blower function keeps cutting line clear.Bevels work a treat.Cons -Would be nice to have a guide light.Not the cheapest - but you have to pay for quality...Definitely worth the money.
Great addition to my DeWalt collection, powerful, simple to use and all round superb cutting tool for several different materials. Although, I would request DeWalt consider adding 'Part 14: Anti-Splinter Insert’ to the package, which would complete the Jig-saw. (I have tried to purchase without success..so far).
This is the first time I have used sprint as I normally go to the store to collect the item. The jigsaw was delivered within 30 minutes which is amazing. I have been using my trusty old Black & Decker jigsaw for 13 years now, but I only used it occasionally for lighter jobs. Even with new blades, it started to get a vibrate so I thought I would treat myself to a new jigsaw. As I already have Dewalt tools, the barebones model was perfect for me and it is so much better, it is quite heavy, but a joy to use as it is so smooth and very controllable with the speeds.
I would highly recommend this product. It has 3-4 different features that make it stand out. The high to low cutting mode is ideal for different circumstances. The saw bed allows you to cut up to 45 degrees. The quick release allows you to remove and replace the blade with no hassle. And finally, from a safety point of view, the trigger allows you to lock it therefore eradicating accidents when picking it up. The only downfall with this product is that it doesn’t come with blades, other than that it’s a great product.
This is a quality product. It feels really sturdy and capable in the hand and it's easy to use.'Bare' means it's the jigsaw in a cardboard box NOTHING ELSE (other than a dust port, a warranty document and an instruction manual). There is no battery. There is no carry-case. There are no blades. There are no guides, guards or optional extras.I bought this because I needed a reliable jigsaw for a large DIY job and I already have a DeWalt 18V drill with a charger and 2 batteries. The batteries are compatible so paying an extra £100 for anything other than the basic jigsaw seemed daft. It has been a delight to use. Blade installation is easy and the cuts are reliable. The variable speed trigger is also a bonus.
Purchased to replace aging, mains powered jig saw. I was a little unsure about buying cordless but this jigsaw is wonderful compared with my old one. Very powerful, little vibration. The blower does not keep the cut line as clean as one would wish although this is improved by connecting the dust extraction. This does inhibit the manoeuvrability of the saw. Instructions mention splinter guard but, as other reviews say, it is not there! Overall an excellent purchase at a good price.
Great purchase. This DeWalt Jigsaw comes as a bare unit without charger or battery, and that suited me as I already have these. The adding of a suitable blade was easy and the unit , once powered up and in use was as smooth as butter, cutting cleanly through 18mm ply like it wasn't there.What really struck me was the smoothness of the unit in action and the lack of vibration back up to my hand. It was a lovely joyous occasion as I have only used inferior jigsaws before. Other lesser makes vibrate like a vibratey thing in vibratey town, sometimes giving a numb hand and also makes it harder to trace a straight line. This is due to the DeWalt special mechanism that reduces vibrations, and it really works.Highly recommended as a cable free jig saw.
