Had to add some hefty coach bolts into engineering bricks and my standard drill just wasn’t cutting it. This great value SDS drilled like it was going into butter, the compact size is a real bonus in use and storing away afterwards. Fitted case, for me, is just a waste of space - I wish DeWalt would add a removable inside so customers can use the whole case with anything.

It's a very tough little tool! For the size I would say the brushless motor is very powerful, light weight and with the l compact body its great for frame fixing/hanging on the belt and great to store as doesn't take up much space. Very happy with this upgrade.

A lot of tool for the money, the power to weight ratio is brilliant, does absolutely everything it's meant to and does it well.

I've used it to drill about 100 10mm holes and it hasn't broke yet so that's a good start (compered to the dch273 which breaks continuously.)It has good power for the actual size of the drill.(Photo of broken crank from dch273)
