Great feel in your hand. This is not a junky tiny hot glue gun made for a 4 yr old like most. I've ran about 2 dozen 10 inch sticks at this point and not once did I experience any issues with feeding or extraction issues. With this trigger being able to be used with two fingers instead of one makes the difference on my opinion. Trust me after using a trigger that only accommodates one finger for longer periods of time greatly reduces fatigue and keeps this DeWalt glue delivery consistent hour after hour. Great addition to anyones workshop and a must have for the hobbiest! Another Quality tool from DeWalt!

Bought this glue some months ago because I wanted different nozzles. But very disappointed. Glue doesn’t heat up like my $15 glue gun from a department store. After not using for some time decided to try again. Glue in the gun just didn’t come out finally left gun on for about 30 mins and it very slowly dribbled out. But the gun still doesn’t work properly.

Rubbish. Barely used and keeps slipping and not gripping glue sticks. First tip broke in the first week, got another on ebay. Maybe people like the yellow and black? Had high hopes but as you can tell I'm fed up as just had to manually push through 10 sticks. Yes they were the correct size.

I've had this glue gun for 2 years now - I bought it for use to build some foamboard RC airplanes, and needed something that would allow me to run a 4 foot bead of glue quickly, and not be low temperature. This gun does the job quite well for that.I have used it for multiple airplane builds at home, and last year, used this very gun at 2 different Maker's Faires in San Diego, where I was churning out foam board gliders for kids, and it held up, rock solid, keeping the glue consistently hot and on the ready.I have only had a few problems with it; the first problem was with feeding glue, where it turns out that because I was using a cheap quality glue stick that didn't have an even diameter, the teeth in the gun wouldn't grab the glue stick properly and advance it ... MoreI've had this glue gun for 2 years now - I bought it for use to build some foamboard RC airplanes, and needed something that would allow me to run a 4 foot bead of glue quickly, and not be low temperature. This was me trying to be cheap and buying the absolute cheapest glue sticks I could - not a fault of the gun, but rather, the user. The other problem I had was when my dad decided to try and load in a second glue stick, and rather than feed it through to where another stick could fit in the back, he heated up the end of the new glue stick and tried to glue it to the back of the stick already in the gun. As you can imagine, it gunked up the mechanism; fortunately, I caught it in time and was able to clean it out before any real damage was done.I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars because it DOES drip a fair amount of glue when it's first plugged in, something my other glue guns don't do. I don't know if this is due to the temp of the gun, or what, but it works!
I wanted a quality glue gun as I am an avid crafter. I bought this thinking the DeWALT name was a reputable one in tools, and this should have been a great product. It was, until it wasn't. I had it plugged in while working on quite a big project, walked away for a few minutes, and came back to find it cooling off. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and nothing. It would no longer heat up. I had a cheap glue gun from a big name box store that lasted longer than this.
Just bought this after suffering endlessly with a low temp glue gun that you had to squeeze like mad to get a slow dribble of melt. This one heats up big time with 95W and with the three tips you get a good choice of delivery. The melt is great with effortless trigger. The ceramic in the tips keep it hot for a long time so you don't get clogs. The metal tips stay super heated. Watch out it's hot, not for little kids! It takes 11mm glue sticks that cost me 2 bucks at a cheap shop and does just fine. Only four stars because it didn't come with any sticks, nor did it come with a small spanner to change the tips. Pity. But the gun itself is great.
Positive points:* Hot glue sticks 10.8 mm or 12 mm in diameter can successfully be used with this hot glue gun. The glue gun's grabbing mechanism still grips the 10.8 mm glue sticks despite them being 1.2 mm less in diameter than the stick diameter the glue gun was rated for.* Hot glue sticks are melted within 2 minutes.* The nozzle tip can remelt hot glue that has already hardened. Just touch the glue with the tip.Points for improvement of the product:* It is not clear how to change the nozzles. Instructions for how to do so were not given with the product. I may need to search online for instructions.* If there is a hot glue stick in the gun from a previous use, the glue will usually come out through the nozzle in its normal path by itself, i.e., ... MorePositive points:* Hot glue sticks 10.8 mm or 12 mm in diameter can successfully be used with this hot glue gun. Be careful of this. The amount of glue that comes out is usually around half a teaspoon.
I bought this gun as well as the Dewalt glue sticks that are recommended. The gun does not grab onto the glue stick and move it forward, it slips along the glue stick. I ended up having the push on the end of the glue stick with my thumb to get it to work. I took it back to Home Depot and they gave me another one. Same problem. I should add that I'm a senior and have had several glue guns in my lifetime and do know how to operate one.
Mine is a few years old. But I do not use it much. I used the Bosch sticks when I bought it. They where great and every worked fine.Once they ran out I could only buy the Stanley ones as Bunnings stopped selling Bosch ones. The Bosch ones are advertised as 11mm but they are 12mm. I was surprised at the high quality and speed of this glue gun. I've got a Hugh pile of 3m .44" sticks from 30 years ago. I put one in, plugged in the gun, and just under a minute later it was ready. I made a quarter sized puddle of glue and measured it with a IR gun, it read 379*f. IMO thats a perfect working temp.Glue flows as fast as I pull the trigger. Very happy for $22. Gun seems like it should cost much more, and feels good in hand. I even bought a second, as a spare. It does dribble a little bit of glue after sitting for 30 seconds. The gun I've got states 70 watts(not 50 like the pic shows)This is fine with me.
