Far better than the sticky links with my Z650's stock chain. Can actually feel less drag while coasting up to stop lights.

I have been riding motorcycles for over 40 years and D.I.D has been on all the bikes I have owned. They are a long lasting chain if well maintained. It came with a master link and it fits tight. Be patent, the link will fit.Love the gold color.

When dealing with high power, high torque engines, like a Duc MultiStrada at 1200 cc, this DID-VX is the chain to have.I peen the master link to .022". Anything more is unnecessary. And the shipping by Revzilla was very fast.

Chain lasted about 1500 miles before it snapped on me suddenly. I had been checking it regularly and keeping it clean, oiled, and adjusted. Unfortunately it tore up several components around the front sprocket when it decided to fail. Looking at it after the fact one of the links appears to have cracked which caused it to separate fortunately it did not lockup my rear sprocket or fail on the highway and I was able to get off the road.
Excited to try out the new X Ring chain. The original O Ring chain on my 2019 CB300R had 25,000 miles on it. If the X Ring chain is even better, I may never have to replace it again. I also really appreciate the conventional master link because there is no need for a special tool to put it together. I just used an angle grinder to cut off the old one and put on the new sprockets and chain. The teeth on the old sprockets were not even pulled over, which is surprising. The new X Ring chain is smooth and quiet.
This chain really irritates me and makes me extremely happy at the same time. Let me start with saying I have this chain on my 2009 R6 and I've never had a problem with it. It lasted 20,000 miles before I decided to replace it and it could have gone much much longer. However, I have never been more annoyed, irritated, and impressed at the same time with this chain than I am right now. I have been working on replacing my chain and sprockets for a combined 4 hours now because this chain will not come off. Let me explain. I first tried taking off the chain with the correct tool but it broke in the process (what do you expect from a $40 tool) so I called my buddy to borrow his. Even though I have removed and installed about 8-10 chains before I decided to triple check ... MoreThis chain really irritates me and makes me extremely happy at the same time. I have been working on replacing my chain and sprockets for a combined 4 hours now because this chain will not come off. Let me explain. I first tried taking off the chain with the correct tool but it broke in the process (what do you expect from a $40 tool) so I called my buddy to borrow his. Even though I have removed and installed about 8-10 chains before I decided to triple check my work and look up a YouTube video on how to remove it since I didn't want to risk breaking my friends tool as well. I ended up breaking it in about 10 minutes?.. so now what do I do? Well, I started with trying to just pry the outer link off and hopefully that would pull the rivet out but I broke the screwdriver off inside the link. Oh well no big deal I'm replacing the chain anyway. Next tool I tried is a chisel and I broke that almost immediately. Darn. At this point I noticed some separation in the links so I think I'm getting close so I tried putting another screwdriver in them and prying them apart. Long story short this chain is now home to two tips of screwdrivers. I ran to my parents house, grabbed and angle grinder, and headed back. I went through a whole blade on an angle grinder before the link finally broke free so I was able to get it off. So I guess what I'm trying to say is either I have extremely cheap and fragile tools, or you will absolutely never have to worry about this chain failing on you for as long as you ride. So yes I am giving 5 stars every day of the week.
I like good chains, and this one seems good enough.I bought this chain because it was precut to the length I needed. All the cool kids have gold finish chains. The one I bought is natural finish, but it's okay, it's the same quality, and was just interested in the precut factor.Make sure to take care of it, and keep an eye on it. I had this brand before. Unfortunately, I was negligent on maintenance, and I had something abrasive rubbing it close to my front sprocket. This resulted in many of my x-rings tearing. The old chain stretched too much, and I had to replace.
Had it for less than three weeks. Followed exact measurements for chain tightening. Masterlink clip broke and now my chain is somewhere along the highway. Second chain from this website that has had this happen. Last time I shop on this website along with all of my friends
I heard good things about these chains and it has not disappointed. Very little stretching and have not needed to adjust it and I ride a lot and am heavy on the throttle. I'll be buying another one for my other bike.
Make sure you check that D.I.D/Revzilla included the correct size master link. I purchased a new in box 525, 114 link chain. Waxed up factory fresh chain. Box was undamaged. I thought everything was good.A 520 master link was in the box.So either D.I.D's quality control is dog water or Revzilla is selling returned items as new.Either way, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. I'll buy direct from another manufacturer next time.
