Best night sleep I’ve ever had. Keeps the air cool and fresh without getting uncomfortably cold. Sleep mode is a dream function. I’d absolutely buy it all over again, actually I’m contemplating getting another unit for my upstairs living area as it’s more economical that turning the refrigerated air unit all day.

I am disappointed in the tiny rollers underneath. Unless on lino type floor it cannot be moved on even the thinnest of carpet. The directions say to change the water every couple of days but taking the top part off to take the tank water out on the bottom part is a whole big exercise. All plastic, not giving me the feeling of solidity. It could at least have grip grooves on the sides of all that plastic.

Okay. This is better than your normal fan and less inferior to an air-conditioning. If you don't have choices, choose this one in between. That's what I would suggest. A fan wasn't sufficient, it just blows hot air on a hot day. I chose this one because I can't install an air-con. But this is fantastic even, on a hot day. Can't do without it. It's super quiet when you operate it in the sleep mode. Slightly noisy in the natural mode but it's tolerable. Yes , I agree it can make the room slightly more humid, depending on which setting you've got it on. Make sure to slide pump paddle to the bottom after you've filled the water. I forgot to push it down and the cool/humidify button didn't illuminate!! Blowing hot air. It's not too bad with the water consumption either ... MoreOkay. I bought 2 of these fans, one for shed and one for bedroom. Hubby likes them as he can set onto quiet mode and is happy with this product. I dont think the fan is powerful enough and one of them started leaking water after a weeks use. But as we have high humidity here, we dont use the water part much anyway. Overall an ok product.
In reviewing the pros and cons of evaporative cooler verses portable aircon online then various reviews comparing brands - I went for this model. In hindsight, the buy was not worthwhile. It doesn't effectively cool a room at all but rather just makes it humid. I've been having better results in this heat with my cheap stand up fan. One of those - wish I hadn't wasted my money moments.
Just went through a heat wave and my new DCEVP20W worked well. Kept me and my pets cool during the hottest part of the day. I am very happy with this appliance.
Fantastic at cooling down the bedroom on an average day in Byron Bay Northern NSW. On very high humidity days it does struggle a bit which all evaporative coolers do however it’s definitely still worth having it as it does reduce the temperature to a pleasant level.

I purchased this item a week ago and had this delivered less than a week ago and the cool mode isn’t working. I filled the water tank and put the paddle down, however, it keeps beeping and turning off the cool mode in 30 seconds. After doing my research it turned out that it’s a common glitch for this product as the floater doesn’t stay at the top and therefore it thinks that the tank is empty and turns off the cooling mode. This is not acceptable, I paid a lot of money for this + delivery fee

I looked and looked and made my choice based on the water guzzler of 20 yrs back.Next day i called into Weillys Betta Electrical in Orange but he did not stock the one i was thinking of. He suggested the Dimplex 20 litres Evaporative Cooler. So back home i went and read all about it.
