Cools really well. Powerful and keeps room comfortableThe plastic vent hose could be better designed. It gets very warm and doesn’t really sit tightly in the vent at the back of the machine. It warps and goes out of shape due to the heat. Doesn’t fit really snugly. But it works ok. The vent hose isn’t really long enough either if you have a window higher than floor level as any slight bend in the hose reduces airflow and the system stops cooling. Definitely could be designed better. We had to buy heat proof duct tape and aluminium air conditioner duct to add onto the existing hose to be able to use it.

I did some research on portable air cons before buying this one and I don't think I took the noise issues seriously. I did buy a bigger one than I needed (only a small room) so I don't know if that leads to the noise but it is too loud for a bedroom. It will cool down the room very well, if you shut the door then the compressor will shut off once it has reached temperature. But once the compressor comes back on (this is a harsh sound while trying to sleep) the noise starts again. Might work better in a large lounge room or shed
The company purchased two as parts were delayed over Christmas for a commercial unit. Fit for purpose, especially as the unit does not require emptying the drip tray.
We bought the Dimplex Multi Directional portable Air Conditioner as we are renting and live in Qld with very hot humid summers. I was concerned it would be too noisy but it is surprisingly quiet. It really cools down our unit well. I’m very happy with my purchase.
This unit has been a great alternative for our family while we have been waiting to repair our units. I would definitely recommend this appliance.
I highly recommend this portable aircon. I was surprised at how well it cooled a large room and how quickly it worked considering it was a very hot day. I have quite a few portable aircons and this one is definitely one of the better ones.
Great unit once you set it up correctly. I wish there was a better exhaust hose on these things, but apart from that it will bring down the temperature in a large and medium sized room.
I went for a more expensive item, hoping for quality. This is noisy and certainly cannot be used near anyone trying to sleep.
