This bottle is very gorgeous and very luxurious and elegant looking. It’s bottle that is very memorable. The bright gold perfume is the centerfold of the bottle. Also the glass top is very exquisite with name inside of the glass. The presentation to detail on this bottle is admirable. This perfume was formulated by magnificent Francis Kurdijan if you don’t know who that it is he’s the Perfumist behind the most popular perfume Baccarat Rouge 540. This is the modern version of L’Or and I love it. It’s very sophisticated yet it smells sensual, warm alluring and slightly indolic on my skin. I detect a solar vibe I perceive to be the orange blossom but it’s not your type orange blossom since it’s magically blending with the Lilly, it’s like sun kissed skin with fresh rose water which reads solar instead of orange blossom. So if you don’t like orange blossom you will not notice it in here. It’s not a sticky sweet, it must be the Lilly that smooth out and removes the sweetness and leaves a slight hint of clean fruitiness. This is definitely night time or occasional wear for a date night. Well done to Mr. Kurkdjian this is exquisite. Expertly blended and properly executed, this is a masterpiece. Though I fail to believe there are only three notes, the depth of this fragrance is unbelievable and I seem to find a new layer of scent each time I wear it! This has to have more notes! I smell heady white and yellow flowers and honey. Perhaps at the top honeysuckle, ylang ylang, magnolia and geranium most definitely. Tuberose or lily of the valley HAS to be in this as well - I believe tuberose as it is very distinct and intense. Golden peach or maybe there's an amber in there sweetening it in the middle. Now, for the tangible review:This smells very much like yellow flowers. I had no idea rose was in this but I will wear again and come back after a couple of weeks.I smell like I am sitting out in the sun, eating a bowl of juicy golden peaches or apricots dipped in a rich floral honey.I get a blast of something fruity - either peach or apricot, nose says peach. OSMANTHUS!!!! I think it is osmanthus!! Then I smell the J'adore DNA with heady white florals, but there's a twist with the ylang ylang and geranium, making it feel very yellow to the nose. Finally on the dry down, you get Miss Dior vibes. I believe he used benzoin and musk in the base that are giving off the vanilla scent and it draws out beautifully toward the end of the wear.My note hypothesis is: TOP: Orange Blossom, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Osmanthus MIDDLE: Jasmine, Amber, Tuberose, Magnolia, Gardenia BASE: Benzoin, Musk, MAYBE either nutmeg or coriander is the note that is scratchy in the base making that cloying solar(read/sniff:GOLD) note when it mixes with everything else. This is VERY well blended and smells exactly like the bottle looks. Like pouring the waters from a river of opulent yellow sunsoaked flowers into an overflowing bottle. A bouquet in full bloom, celebrating power and sensuality, these flowers are the true gold of J'adore.” The bottle is made up of heavy glass with a heavy metal and glass cap. While it feels like a luxurious, well-made bottle, it is difficult to line up the angled cap with the bottle on the first try. If I want to display the bottle after spraying it, I have to twist the cap until it lines up, which may annoy some, but overall it’s very minor. I tend to be sensitive to strong floral fragrances: they give me a headache. And I have been wearing this fragrance for a month, and I’ve had no issues with the scent after spraying it. The price is steep, but you’re not just paying for the fragrance, you’re paying for the Dior name. Whether the Dior name is worth upwards of $140 is up to you. However, I will say that I would not repurchase this product at the price point. It is a good fragrance, not an extraordinary fragrance.

So thankfully that went away but still I feel like MFK holds his own brand to higher standards so I’m not sure what he was thinking with this fragrance. I won’t say I love it for the sake of leaving a good review because I don’t. I would have preferred to get the new Tom Ford fragrance because at least that designer one would’ve been up my alley with the rose and coffee mix. This scent has lasting power that’s one thing I will say it lasts and projects very well but it’s not an amazing scent. It’s not overwhelmingly floral but it still feels like smelling flowers a bit too up close and there’s no real character to this scent there’s no layers other than it just being a floral bomb. Some people may love that but for me with my love of niche I’m used to fragrances having layers and evolving instead of being one thing throughout the entire duration. I really thought with MFK creating this that it would be niche quality but for Dior at a designer price and sadly it’s not. For anyone seeing MFK and thinking they are getting a deal by purchasing this fragrance thinking it with have niche standards or dna it just doesn’t. It’s nothing special and even though I don’t mind wearing it today I know if I smell it too much then it will give me one heck of a headache. I would much rather wear Note Vanillee or Silky Woods. Or if I’m in the mood for a floral then the closest I will go is Sirens Sailors from Jusbox because that fresh rose is drowned in rum and peach syrup which makes it this juicy boozy combination that gives layers and depth while taking your nose on an intoxicating ride. Sadly I don’t see myself even keeping this fragrance from dior. Might give it to my mom.

It makes you feel like royalty just to use the bottle and to see the bottle on your countertop or wherever you have it. I’m really pleased I was provided this perfume in exchange for my honest review, this is something I would happily purchase for myself as a treat as well! It really is a vacation in a bottle.

An interesting, complex perfume with staying power

I found this perfume to have a strong, rich & bold fragrance initially. Don’t be put off as it transforms into a warm & more gentle scent, whilst holding onto its distinct tones, when it has settled on the skin. Unlike many perfumes, it stays fresh and distinctive for a long time, without having to be top up.I thought it had a complex scent. There seemed to be distinctive floral notes (perhaps with a drop or two of geranium or magnolia) combined with a dash of vanilla and a hint of citrus. This seemed to overlay a background slice of warm and light musk.All-in-all, a complex, pleasant perfume. Perhaps a little too bold for me but definitely a winner for the confident professional or the party lover. Just don’t spray too much or you may overwhelm your associates!

This is the most beautiful fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I love white floral and gourmand scents and this is heaven in a bottle—it’s so unique and I’ve never smelled another like it, but have been searching for one like it my whole life. I don’t care for the original J’Adore on my skin and this is a complete departure. It’s so warm and luxurious it should almost have its own name and line of products (I’d love it in a lotion or travel size). However, as much as I wish I could use this daily, the scent fades far too quickly especially for an EDP. It fades entirely in a hour. For the very high price for this 1.7oz bottle, I wish the scent carried with me all day long. It’ll have to be more of a special occasion perfume, but even then I’m afraid the scent won’t last ... MoreThis is the most beautiful fragrance I’ve ever smelled. This version of Jadore L’or should have been named a different name. I still have 2 unopened bottles of the previous version- 40mls Jadore L’or. I sprayed both fragrances each on one side of my body to compare. They dont smell the same, the previous version was oilier and lasted longer (a lot longer) than the new version. I alway get compliments when i am wearing the previous version Jadore L’or, but not with this version.
