A floral firework display, a concentrate of joy. For this version of JOY by Dior, I was inspired by the idea of blossoming, a radiant explosion of flowers as overwhelming as fireworks. I wanted to emphasise the sensual side of this fragrance, to make it shine in a new light and to accentuate its silage with more voluminous woody notes – giving it a more sensual 'density'. François Demachy, perfumer-creator at Dior Citrus fruits and neroli as top notes provide a concise, pulsating burst of energy, which makes the explosive flower bouquet shine in wonderful colours. At the heart of this intense Eau de Parfum, the round, powerful scent of Rosa Centifolia from Grasse combines with that of another icon from the perfume capital, Jasmine Grandiflorum, to create energetic fruity notes that are second to none. The enveloping woody echo of the base notes inspires the chorus of flowers. Sandalwood and patchouli, enlivened by a hint of warm, sweet vanilla from Madagascar, fill this lively, explosive and intense Eau de Parfum with great luminosity.
