DJI Action 2 Dual Screen Combo Camera
The DJI Action 2 Dual-Screen Combo makes it easy to capture all your action moments. This set consists of the Action 2 and the Touchscreen module. You can click the Touchscreen module onto the bottom of the Action 2, which creates an additional screen at the front. This way, you can see directly what you're recording and you're always sure that the camera is aimed at you. This is useful when you're vlogging. The action camera records in 4K resolution at 120 fps, which allows you to make smooth images. No activity is too wild for this camera. The Touchscreen module extends the battery life from 70 minutes to 160 minutes. The robust design makes the camera drop-resistant, dustproof, and water-resistant. Thanks to the magnetic chain, you can easily hang the camera around your neck, so you have your hands free while recording.

DO NOT BUY THESE CAMERAS!DJI has made some incredible products that I've used over the years. Unfortunately, the DJI Action 2 is not one of them. Looking for a better solution than the GoPro's (particularly in battery life) I was happy to see that DJI had a competing product. I bought both the Dual Screen Combo and the Power Combo, and first impression were great. They are built well. The magnetic clip is really nice and I think convenient. The menu's were intuitive enough for a screen that is as small as this is. And the options for recording were enough to satisfy me as well. I also love that you can just plug it in via USB and charge it as well as download your material. But, the reality of using either of these camera systems is just disappointing. I also love that you can just plug it in via USB and charge it as well as download your material. But, the reality of using either of these camera systems is just disappointing. You bought a 4k camera, but in my experience you have to run it in 2k at the max to avoid overheating. But you'll overheat anyway, and not necessarily in excessive heat. We attach these to tractors (outside) and when we shoot on any day in the 80's, I can guarantee by the time the tractor gets back to me to check on the recording status, it will have quit due to overheating. So... basically it's pointless. Now I do use these mostly to capture audio, as well as backup footage in case the A-Cam (my drone) misses something important. And you are able connect DJI's Mic to this (those things are awesome and live up to DJI's standard of quality). Unfortunately, that either led to quicker overheating or stuttery recording. Either way, I had a failed first attempt and with the other problems of simply figuring out how to record w/o overheating, I've avoided attaching the mic since. Now a few months into using, I've just about decided to live with it. But I actually think I'll go back to using the GoPro's we have. This isn't to disparage DJI. I've loved their drones and use the Air 2s several times a week. It's resilient and tough and a great tool. I love the DJI Mic's. And I'm seriously considering the 4D. So DJI makes great products, but this isn't one of them.If you don't need to run them for any longer than 10 minutes and you'll do it indoors in temps under 70 degrees, maybe you'll be okay shooting 4K uninterrupted. And maybe you'll like them.Godspeed.

Let me start off with saying, I love the form factor of the Action 2, this camera is tiny, really tiny. Video quality is great. I have many DJI products including 3 of their drones. Always been happy.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this camera. I have 4 issues, maybe not each alone are a deal breaker but all 4 together certainly are.1st The camera overheats and shuts off. I knew that going in. DJI has acknowledged that and includes a thermal case with the camera at no charge. But I was surprised at the conditions that it overheated and stopped recording. The camera was in the case, I was shooting at 4K 24 Frames, I was outside, the temperature outside was 60 degrees, not 90 or 100. I got 17 minutes 21 seconds of recording time.2nd When I first turned the camera on, it goes through setup process, register, download new firmware. Then I left it plugged in for 6 hours to charge, the camera module and the dual screen modules were connected. But when I went to use it the first time the dual screen module was completely dead. Not sure what happened, if 6 hours was not enough time. Looks like the dual screen module didn't hold the charge.3rd After recording for 17 mins and 21 seconds, I wanted to download the recording. Since I was only using the camera module, the recording was stored on the internal storage of the camera module. To download the recording to a computer you can attach the camera module to the dual screen module, copy file to the SR card in the dual screen module, then remove the SD card, place in an adapter, insert to laptop. Or you can connect the camera module to the dual screen module, then connect to the computer using a USB-C cable. The later is the method I chose. So a 17 min video generates three files, two at approximately 4 GB and one at 2.5 GB. The first attempt at downloading failed on the third file, generated an error message. The second attempt worked. I need that to be more reliable.4th While initially I was able to connect to the Action 2 using the DJI Mimo app, I am no longer able to connect. Tried several times and even reset the camera and still no luck.Don't want to be negative but that was my experience. To reiterate, form factor is awesome. Video quality is great for such a tiny camera. But too many issues.I recorded the issues in this youtube videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krQVmnj7q1o&feature=youtu.beSorry DJI

Purchased as I needed a small adv cam for on motorcycle footage, so long battery life / lots of settings weren't my priority - it had to wearable small and this DJI Action2 has been exactly what I needed - 4K footage is sharp, the software stabilization is pretty good and the ability to add modules for battery life / blogging screen just adds to it's usefulness. With the free case fitted and the latest firmware, heat buildup is not such an issue anymore - even when fitted to clothes and walking. Very nicely made and the ability to fit to GoPro accessories means a huge range of gear in addition to the DJI accessories. Value is good given it's on discount too. Overall it's been great.

Great action camera. People are complaining about it overheating at 4k 120 or 4k with high frame rates for long periods of time. Most people this won't be an issue as most don't film at high frame rates for long periods of time and most of the time they don't do it sitting on their desk to test things. In my experience of 4k filming of 30fps, I've been able to use a power bank plugged into the unit and film for hours and hours without any issues.DJI has released multiple firmware updates to also improve the performance and features in the camera. Looking forward to see what other updates they push to the camera to keep improving it.Overall I was skeptical of the reviews and issues people were reporting but when I got the camera in my hand I realized quickly ... MoreGreat action camera. I bought this camera almost exclusively for POV "B Roll" footage with camera module only, I bought it aware of its many documented foibles. Firstly, it's no where near as bad as many of the "haters" portray it, the image quality is as good as any action cam I've had, the stabilisation (main thing imho) is excellent, low light, for me, acceptable. At a push I'd use it as a "one camera solution" but that said my iPhone is pretty good for that situation. As I said, my main use is POV and I find it better for that than the Insta360 Go 2 which I tried last year and didn't like.In low light I took the advice of YouTuber itsSky and set shutter speed high, seems better to risk higher iso to prevent EIS artifacts. For my amateur editing I only do very minimal colour ... MoreI bought this camera almost exclusively for POV "B Roll" footage with camera module only, I bought it aware of its many documented foibles. Reviews have focussed on the overheating which firstly, isn’t an issue with action shots because of airflow. Secondly, overheating has been resolved by DJI through the supply of a free heat dispersion case and a firmware update. This action cam does everything DJI says and does it well. Video footage is great and due to the large sensor, even night footage looks acceptable. Also, great for vlogging especially if you add the DJI microphone system. I’d recommend this system especially at the discounted rate.

Really appreciate all the design that DJI put into this little beauty. Using it with the iPhone app is also great. The only thing I have issue with is that, even though I bought a DJI recommended 128Gb Sandisk SD card, the camera continues to give me a message that the SD card is too slow and that I should expect recording issues. WHAT?!? I contacted DJI and they concurred the card is correct, but were unable to figure out the solution. Likely a firmware issue with the camera not correctly reading the card info. At rate, I record on the internal drive and save it to the SD card. It needs to be fixed for sure. STILL, I love the camera and especially the 'horizon lock' feature. And thanks DJI for making it work with GoPro attachments.
If you understand its many limitations, you can get a lot out of this video camera. I use it as a bike dash cam and a camera for touring locations for my YouTube channel. It's small enough to go anywhere and if you're only using the main unit, it's waterproof. Recording at a reduced 1080p can get your 55 minutes without the battery attachment. That quality is perfectly fine most of the time.If you push it to 4k 120fps, it lasts only 19 minutes BUT it's weird, it almost eliminates any shaky footage from nighttime shots. I thought having a higher frame rate would reduce the lowlight capabilities to make it unusable. At $550 this was a little too much for me but it's been on sale a few times when when it's around $300, go for it. I love it

Faster than any other cam i used to haveps - i havent got a chance to try the gopro10, but with this cam, instead of getting gopro 10, im thinking to get another Dji Action for myself and for the missus who is into mtb as wellI didnt bother sticking any protection on it to keep it slick and as small as possible because i got dji refresh, no worriesWithout sxreen protector i am able to operate the Dji Action with my gloves on!! HAPPY!!!For me and my recording and social media sharing habit , this camera made me HAPPIEST10 out of 10 from me
