DJI Mini SE Drone - Fly More Combo

The DJI SE fly more combo Drone arrived really quickly. It is amazing I bought it for my Dad for Christmas and he loves it

product is a1, great as you would expect from dji.however once again Australia post is the weak link, again.

Disapointing

Drone is absolute pants... With skids. Flew fine for the first few flights in NZ. Now in Fiji and the drone has faulted out and will not take off.Dealing with dgi direct now as in Fiji and can't bring the product into store for return. Not Noel Leemings fault but incredibly frustrating when we are now missing out on being able to document our travels around Fiji in our yacht.Hopefully fgi will sort a replacement to a more tried and true model very soon

Extremely Impressed

Bought for my son and he loves it! Highly recommend buying this set, the additional batteries and extra charging capability are really worth it. Excellent product, exceeded expectations.

Good drone

I had a old parrot bebop 2 prior to this drone and its a massive step up. This new drone is so easy to fly and land. Its very compact which is great can be taken in your backpack easily great entry level drone for the money its a bargain

Great inexpensive start to drone cinematography

For the cost this is a great introduction to flying drones. I'm not an expert in cinematography but I get impressive movies by setting the colour balance to manual and putting the colour temperature to 8000k. Set the EV to -0.3 and you will get deep warm rich colours. Be careful not to face the sun as this will darken the shadow regions.The detail is good and can be reduced or enhance in video editing software. Film at 60fps and you can slow down any footage if playback speed is 30fps in 2k. The DJI Fly app is easy and intuitive. The only downside is you need a decent smartphone to utilise it, and this can be an unexpected cost. A list can be found on the DJI website. The drone can be flown without the app but the range is limited to 50m radius and a height of 30m. ... MoreFor the cost this is a great introduction to flying drones. The downside is you will still need the app to link and start the drone sometimes, plus also enable you to compass calibration etc...In summary, if you already have a compatible phone this is a great start. If you don't have the recomended phone I would consider the DJI Mini 3 pro.With a range of 4km you still need to get the drone back, and at a battery life quoted at 30 mins, this could see you doing an emergency landing.I have experienced that by running the camera my flight time can be a low as 20 mins approx. So range is based on battery life. Even if other drones claim further ranges you are still constrained by battery life. Something to consider.

Not worth a single seal on the Box

The Box was not sealed. The case was not sealed. The Seal that was supposed to be holding the 2 Drone Blades safely together was loose. The seller told me the Dji boxes are not sealed. I can not believe such a expensive and fragile item is not worth a single seal. He also had no explanation to why the blades seal was loose. It either does not function as it should or someone tampered with it. At first flight the 3 batteries full charged lasted 5 min each.My Galaxy M51 almost does not fit in the remote control.I am not happy at all with the product and service.

Should have add ons like replacable camera etc.

Camera doesn't have focus/zoom functions, only good for capturing videos.

Very impressive

This drone continues to impress me. Everything is so well thought out and the quality is great. App is very easy to use and love that you can choose to charge all 3 batteries in the battery case together, or charge them separately. Only thing I would say is that it would be good if the drone was a more visible colour as I’ve found that I have lost where it is in the sky a few times. But, you are always able to return home using the return to home feature if you ever really lose where it is.

Worked twice then died

I was so impressed with the drone when I first got it, it was incredibly easy to fly and produced amazing footage.I was so excited to fly the thing again but had to wait till the weekend. When the weekend finally rolled around I tried to give my brother a demo of how good the drone was only to find it could no longer take off. Somehow between me using it a week ago and now the drone had simply died. I hadn't crashed/dropped it; the drone was in perfect condition.I'm seriously really disappointed by this and thought that by buying a drone from a well known brand things like this wouldn't happen. I guess I just bought a dud.
