Many multivitamin / mineral formulas generally use cyanocobalamin, rather than methylcobalamin - the active form of Vitamin B-12. Not everyone produces adequate intrinisic factor to promote the conversion of cyanocobalamin to methylcobalamin, so this is an excellent alternative to help assure you're receiving the active form. The sublingual tablets / lozenges often contain one or more forms of sugar alcohols (xylitol, sorbitol, etc), which cause gastric distress for me. Doctor's Best Fully Active B12 comes in a very small capsule form, and is easy to swallow. Excellent product to assure you're getting the B-12 you need.

The texture is quite heavy so you have to apply a very small amount of a pea on a specific area of the face. The packaging was very luxurious and a spoon was provided. I loved every detail of it. Just before my strong cup of tea in the morning, I took one capsule of B12 under my tongue for a minute and then swallow. And take another capsule before dinner. Even though this is not sublingual B12 but I can surely feel it being absorbed very well under the tongue. Since I have added it to my regimen, my memory and recall is getting much better and I feel more 'present' than before.
