I have to admit the true reason I give this one a 4 star and it was not for the perfume itself but for the error committed during purchsae. While purchasing this perfume for my sister and two others for gifts I asked to see the Dolce & Gabbana blue bottle perfume (can't recal the name now) which I was shown and was the one I chose to purchase but I think the young lady assisting me grabbed the wrong box and inside was the Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Violet perfume not the Light Blue bottle one that I had chosen. I already had given the gift to my mother without noticing until she opend it. To make a long story short she ended loving the perfume.. "She was happy" End of story..

One of the most strongest and elegant perfumes I have ever tried. It smells wonderfully but it’s very strong so one spray can last hours and leave you feeling powerful. This perfume is not meant for people who don’t like heavy perfumes. It smells like violets and you do get what you pay for. A great perfume for those special nights out or to enhance that feeling of feeling beautiful and looking elegant. I would definitely buy this perfume again and recommend it to all my friends and family.
A very pleasant fragrance for spring and summer! It's a little fruity at first but mellows out to a vanilla floral. I I can smell the violet! I just with that it stayed with me longer. Would prefer a parfum instead of a toilette.
So I am really lazy about reviews abd my favorite perfume is Valentini Coral Fantasy. However, my daughter and I went to Ulta (we go way too much) and she was smelling perfumes, called me over and I smelled the Violet. OMG!! I am SO glad you did! I get compliments and im a snob for perfumes. I live fruity florals and this smells so good and I sprayed on at 6am and it's 11:49pm and I can still smell it. Seriously, if you're a fan of fruity smells - you will LOVE the the Violet!
My first impression of the fragrance was the very intense note of violet when you first let it dry. Once some time has passed it when you finally get the hint of vanilla and musk. I would say it is a very mature scent that I would envision wearing when I’m older IF I enjoyed the smell of violets. However, because I find the violet note so overwhelming I wouldn’t purchase this on my own, and the scent doesn’t linger for long. After some a short amount of time it does begin to dull. I also don’t think it’s worth the price tag, the scent is reminiscent of other perfumes you can get for much cheaper.
I received a sample of this to try. I was excited because it has notes I do like, but it smells like a lot of other vanilla floral fragrance like mugler alien goddess or jimmy choo I want choo. It a fragrance profile you most likely already own and not necessary to have especially if you own a lot of perfumes. It isn’t a unique perfume. It’s wear time to me is average for a designer perfume. 3.5 out 5 stars
I really liked the scent of this perfume; it is slightly floral but nothing too intense and overall just a very nice, sweet scent; however, the scent didn’t last that long on me. Not as long as a lot of my other perfumes.
when I saw this I just knew I had to have it. I was afraid it might smell powdery but I told myself if it did I'd just take it back. luckily no powder smell !!! the first note I get is a deep berry smell from the black currant which actually lasts most the longevity of the fragrance lingering in the background making it a very sweet fragrance which I'm ALL for!!! then you get the delicate soft floral from the violet and the deep rich vanilla upon dry down. chef's kiss a true 10/10 in my opinion. smells very similar to the new gingham vibrant which I've been layering together with it and it's a match made in heaven. purple is also my favorite color so I adore the bottles design as well. when my little bottle runs out I'm Def getting the bigger size!!!
