I read reviews saying this perfume was sexy, sensual, and very much like Black Opium. I love Black Opium so I blind bought this. It's very strong and lasts a long time but I didn't think it smells anything like Black Opium. This smells like an old womens perfume (at least to my nose). When someone says granny perfume this is what I imagine. Apparently, I'm not a fan of strong Iris or Violet notes or the combo of the two. That's the only notes I could think of that would make this so unappealing to me. I like Sexy Amber which is a powdery Amber perfume (so I like some powdery perfumes) but I just couldn't like this. I couldn't feel sexy thinking I smelled like a grandmother. If you like violets and irises then I'd give this a try if not don't buy this. I've shopped at Beauty Affairs for a few years now without a problem, however last week my package was stolen- at the fault of the courier. I purchased around $200+ of skincare and was completely devastated when it happened, as I didn't think I would be able to get it resent or refunded because it wasn't Beauty Affair’s fault. I contacted them and to my surprise, they immediately offered to resend or refund my purchase, not only that but they included a gift! I have never had such exceptional customer service from any other company in my whole life! Knowing they are a relatively small (compared to Sephora etc) Australian owned brand makes it even more impressive and I'm so happy (even excited) to know my money is going to a company that highly values its customers. ... MoreI've shopped at Beauty Affairs for a few years now without a problem, however last week my package was stolen- at the fault of the courier. I would encourage EVERYONE to shop here. Side note: they are also very budget inclusive with the range of products they carry which is always lovely. Thank you Beauty Affairs!!!!

This perfume is truly very disappointing.I had the misfortune of being given this one instead of 'The Only One Intense' (an easy mistake by the saleswoman) and only realised after I had sprayed it the next day. This perfume smells sickeningly sweet and almost as though it were a ÂŁ6 perfume from Bodycare. In terms of positive aspects it did last a while, wafting throughout the day and still noticeable on my clothes the next day.I have had to stop and think 'is this a bit harsh of a review', however no, on reflection this perfectly tempered. When compared to more pleasing perfumes which are much less expensive, this perfume is of poor value overall. You will be paying for the brand name, not the perfume, which I can only imagine has been priced arbitrarily.

Turns out The Only One is much fruitier than I was expecting. I thought based on the color of the juice and the simplistic design of the bottle it would be a rich, sophisticated, elegant "dark" fragrance with more of a mature back bone. I wish I could perceive the fragrance as a whole - exactly how the voted dominant notes show here. But for me, it's as if the dominant pyramid has been flipped upside down!!! With rose, orange blossom, bergamot, and pear in that order, then the rest barely distinguishable. I was looking forward to the coffee, violet and vanilla but they're overshadowed by fruits and florals. Because of this it confuses me to wear. There's no darkness. Just happy, bright fruits and florals with freshness all throughout and a bit of sweetness. This scent is extremely likeable with no challenging parts. I like the scent bubble it gives and has good staying power, but I would have loved something more mysterious and unusual in this. The fruitiness never subsides on me and I can't help but be reminded of the mainstream designer fruity florals of the last decade, with an ever so slight trace of gourmand-ness that is so popular today. It is very easy and pretty, a bit too easy for me at this stage in the game. It is SO wearable, but also so undiscernable and unclear as to what it is trying to be. I like it, just think my expectation was way off.
I remember this fragrance initially came out - it used to be much more coffee forward than it is now. It smelled more like a sultry woman in all black sitting at a cafe with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in front of her whilst sipping straight VERY ROBUST espresso with caramel syrup in it. Sweet, strong coffee with beautiful powdery flowers, oh dear - I absolutely fell in LOVE with this fragrance, initially. Even in smelling my very old vial, the coffee is much more forward than it is in the latest formulation. However, I digress. NOW, this is a very pretty young lady sitting outside of Starbucks drinking a caramel latte. Coffee gets completely buried and you get violet, caramel and rose. I don't think I will repurchase after this bottle is finished unless I find an older formulation. BRING BACK DESIRE!!!!
It was winter in 2018, I was looking for a fragrance for that season and I found this new launch. I was the new variation of " The One", which was launched many years ago. The Only One's top notes are Violet, Orange and Bergamot (yes, again Orange and Citrus notes included in fragrances that catch my attention when I try them at stores). Its middle notes are Coffee, Pear, Iris, Orange Blossom and Rose; and as base notes are Caramel, Vanilla and Patchouli. It's sensual and feminine buy not too sweet, with an interesting trail of Coffee and Orange Blossom in the middle of the day. For some people it reminds them to the Black Opium by YSL, but I don't find the similarities, the YSL one is overwhelming and too sweet for me (the Vanilla and Warm Spicy notes are ... MoreIt was winter in 2018, I was looking for a fragrance for that season and I found this new launch. The Only one is Smoother. It's long-lasting but I think it's because it lasts on my clothes for days. This fragrance is not really special to blow your mind (as its name indicates) but is comfortable. It's a sensual perfume perfect for everyday in Fall and Winter. This one is 100 ml #dolceandgabbana
I am in love with this fragrance from the first sniff. I've never been a fan of sweet fragrances, but this one really caught my eye. It must be admitted that it stands out from commercial fragrances thanks to its intriguing composition of fragrance notes and interesting projection. The fragrance features notes of jasmine, neroli, orange blossom, tangerine and green apple. It is citruses and apple that are felt at the bitter-sweet beginning. The first notes, however, can not charm everyone. The beginning is very sweet and fruity, quite common. Only with time the fragrance becomes extremely elegant and enveloping thanks to accords of vanilla, coconut and cedar. Durability: unfortunately average. For an intense version, disappointing. The bottle: it is handy, but unfortunately black, which makes it impossible to check the amount used. Price: due to the fact that this fragrance premiered in 2020, you can currently get them at a good price. Summary: really worth it! This is one of the most interesting compositions from Dolce Gabbana.
This isn’t a bad fragrance, but it was not a good blind buy for me. The name “Intense” is misleading, the OG is more intense than this flanker IMO. I like coconut but prefer when it adds sweetness. In this fragrance, it’s the same type they use in sunscreeny perfumes like Beach Walk (although I wouldn’t describe this as a sunscreen scent). It has a cashmere accord (like Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere), so if you like that perfume, you’ll probably enjoy this one as well. I’ve since figured out cashmere isn’t a note I love. To me, it smells very similar to Kayali Utopia Vanilla Coco. It’s pretty wearable and inoffensive, just not for me. I had a full bottle and ended up blessing someone else with it.
Dolce Gabbana The Only One Eau de Parfum is an exquisite fragrance that truly lives up to its name. From the moment I sprayed it on my skin, I was captivated by its unique and seductive blend of notes. The combination of violet, coffee, and subtle hints of vanilla creates a warm and alluring scent that lingers throughout the day. The fragrance is both feminine and sensual, making it the perfect choice for any occasion. The longevity of this perfume is outstanding, as it stayed on my skin for hours, without losing its intensity. The bottle design is elegant and sophisticated, adding to the overall luxurious experience. Overall, Dolce Gabbana The Only One Eau de Parfum is an absolute must-have for anyone looking to feel confident and irresistible.
I had tried the only one non-intense version before and it was nice, sweet, but not anything particularly unique or special or overly sexy and did not last very long. so I did a blind buy and took a risk on this one. I am so thrilled that immediately upon opening the box, I was blown away. It’s one of those scents that stays with you like the original Chanel or Trésor by Lancôme, or so many of the unique original sense that still are around from the 90s and early 2000s, Chanel Chance, Dior, etc. I wouldn’t say it beats them out in any way, but upon first scent and after it settled on my skin it still had that sense of populace and richness of a great perfume. On top of that it does actually stay and I will say almost nothing stays on my skin for long so the fact that this stayed overnight into the morning on the wrist was fantastic. I am thrilled with the scent, the intensity and the strength. It is definitely sweet but it’s a more deeper or more romantic sweet version or just a slightly more mature versions of the only one. Although everyone’s tastes are very different, from my experience I highly recommend giving this a try for evenings or those events calling for a little romance.
