We used to take 3 Eskys out on the boat with us .. now we only need 1 .. keeps ice as ice for 5 days .. makes the boat alot safer and given is alot more room . Made a squab for the top and now have seating for 2 more people.This is an amazing awesome bit of kit . And it seriously keeps ice as ice for 5 days . Super tough , strong and universal. Solid 10/10 from us

Ive had my 111lt ice box about 6 months. The whole 10 day ice thing is ridiculous. If you filled it to the brim with only ice then yeah possibly. Unfortunately putting anything else in it (which is normally the plan) upsets that applecart. I placed 4 bags of ice in it with some soft drink, beer and wine one hot day. Inside an air conditioned room adjoining a patio! It was melted by next afternoon. Barely 24hrs worth and again thats inside a cool room. All up its huge so plenty of room, but keep the ice up to it.10 days is a complete sham. Better with smaller model if longer trips planned Id say.

100% the best eski on the market in my opinion. If you know of any better I'd love to see it. Keeps beers and mackerel at almost freezing point for up to a week with block ice. That's in Darwin weather towards the end of the wet season. Will be purchasing another soon just to hold ice for the extended 10+ day remote camping trips.

Well designed and manufactured box. I bought mine for bait and fish - and it makes a good seat. Empty, it's an awkward lift for one, so it's a 2 person lift with anything in it. Slot-in plastic rod holders are a smart optional accessory, but they are around $25 each. The box handles might not be strong enough when it's full of fish - haven't had that problem yet ! I first bought the 33 Litre Dometic, then 2 more 33 L for each of my sons. Months later I bought the 87 L, and months later again, the 111 L. I compare prices before I buy, and found appliancesonline unbeatable at $254 delivered for the 111 L . When placed in direct sunlight, the light colour helps keep the contents cold. Dometics will crack/break from hard knocks, but their sealing system of rubber latches is much safer than metal latches, and the rubber latches are easily replaced. Highly recommended if you look after them.
I recently bought this great icebox for my new boat. Also fits inside the Prado sideway as well. Fantastic for the family. Store heaps of food, drinks & 3 bags of ice. It’s big, which is great for storage (we camped for four days and it was easy to fit all our food and beer) but it’s big, haha, which means you you make sure it fits somewhere before you start packing. We had a bit of a Tetris situation getting it in the car (was too big to slide under our camper trailer) but we did it. Easy to clean, really sturdy and kept everything cool. We didn’t need to buy more ice. Would recommend.
Ordered this as a gift for my son. The first one arrived with a large ding in the side. Contacted the guys at snowys and they arranged a seamless return process. They even sent the replacement esky before they received the damaged one back. Replacement esky was fine and my son loves it. He has had a few BBQ's since and it caters perfectly. Deep enough to have wine bottles upright but shallow enough to find what you need without getting frostbite in your hands
It's fantastic does great when we are camping keeps everything cool. Has a handy drain hole and cap at the bottom so you can remove excess water without emptying. if you will be away for a couple of weeks you'll need to top up the ice. Gets a good workout at Christmas too keeping the spare drinks cold.
I bought this the day I was heading away for 8 days camping with two young boys in late September.I bought one bag of ice 5kg and that kept the contents very cool for 5 days. My two young boys were often opening it and leaving it open for a few minutes. I had it on a slight angle and had the bung slightly open to drain any water. Very impressive result. I had been thinking of paying a lot more for a fridge freezer but I am so happy with this I won’t unless we are heading away from civilization for more than 5 days.Happy customer.
This Ice box is for our boat, Perfect dimensions for either fish, beers or both depending on how the fishing is going!!!We needed extra seating for the extra passenger and also when fishing to rest awhile. The seat is perfect to add comfort and quite durable.
