If you are looking for a light weight summer duvet/quilt that doesn't weigh you down like an old fashioned blanket - look no further - this Downia Ultimate Light is the one. I have had to return many online orders whilst in search for a lightweight high quality duvet/quilt. I was in search of a summer quilt to keep me comfortably cool and very light weight at the same time. Other brands in the feather or cotton range professed to make such claims but were heavier and some had a cover made of a material that was too noisy (like crumpling paper) - but this one is perfectly lightweight with a cotton cover.

Haven’t used yet brought for summer on a sale. I live on the Sunshine Coast we are in winter at the moment. Summer you don’t need much cover then a sheet. I have been looking for a quilt that’s light weight for a quiet cover. And came across this on sale.. looking forward to using in the spring

Light and airy, no strong smell. Looks great in white cover - no dark feathers showing through. Live in Far North Queensland, currently perfect for our winter which is super mild (approx 16-24 degrees). Thinnest I’ve found in a while - still wanted cosy feather down but most are too thick for our warmer temps, this one is perfect.

For context, I live in Darwin and it’s obviously too hot with the aircon off most of the year but I find I’m too cold with aircon on and just a sheet. So I was looking for a light doona.I found this pretty much did the job, it’s still a touch too warm and heavy and I wake up a bit sweaty/clammy sometimes. Although the loft is really nice, and the soft/cozy feeling is lovely.I did notice what other reviewers had mentioned such as the doona smell and the sound, the dark feathers and how it moves around in the cover but that’s just what happens with a feather down doona. It didn’t put me off buying it and doesn’t put me off using it.
Here in Tasmania where we often have cool nights and warm days, I love sleeping under this down duvet in summers and shoulder seasons during these times. It keeps me warm enough and is still cool enough for my husband who sleeps warm. The duvet is very snuggly and provides a light cocoon like feel.
An easy decision to make repeat purchases of Downia brand duvets. Have many throughout house. Bought this summer doona because we didn’t want to be roasted at night with the winter one. It took a bit of research before settling with this one. Just love it and the difference is imminent. It’s light and cools you down. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another for a friend when the specials are back on. It’s pricey but well worth it.
This lightweight doona is perfect for these cold nights but for those of us who are hot sleepers it doesn't leave you waking up sweating in the middle of night. I had an expensive 100% duck down doona which is just too hot for me even on the coldest night and this doona being 50% down and 50% feather is the perfect weight and warmth for me. and it is very lightweight on the body as well.
This quilt is perfect for Brisbane weather. Some people mentioned it was noisy. I don't find that. It makes a slight sound as it moves but nothing that annoys me. I really like this quilt. Lovely touch to include a silk holder for storage. Perfect for summer and maybe winter too.
