Downunder 5 Burner BBQ with Side Burner

I bought this bbq as a gift. It’s looks and performs exactly as advertised. I would recommend this product however I will mention that putting it together was painful. It took 3 hours and the instructions are poorly written. Overall, the product is as described and in hindsight I would still purchase even though assembly was quite difficult.

Buy at your own peril

I did read all of the reviews before purchasing this, so I was expecting it to be quite difficult to assemble. Assembly was just as bad as anticipated, but if I had to do it again, I wouldn’t try and follow the instructions so closely. I would recommend to read the instructions and loosely follow them, but also use common sense as the instructions aren’t very clear in parts.The cabinet doors don’t sit level, they are both at opposite angles which is just a result of cheap manufacturing. I would definitely recommend using a Tek gun if you have one as it will save you a lot of time and effort. Unfortunately, I had to do most of the assembly by myself as my partner had a temper tantrum because of the difficulty of assembling it. So be prepared for some screaming matches and frustration.Now that it is all set up, it works very well, which almost makes up for how annoying it was to assemble.Only rating it four stars because I am not impressed with the dents in the hood and the scratches all over, also not impressed with the misleading instruction manual. Nice looking barbecue, but I think it is just a bit cheaply made.

Took legit ages to build by myself so it was very time consuming. Someone had attached a youtube video which i found helpful, but the instructions are horrible. I'm also not happy with some parts being bent and that caused the bottom of the bbq to look a little bent so not happy with that considering the price and it being "fragile" screws wouldn't go in properly so that was annoying but got there in the end and gonna test it out id recommend buying but just make sure you have a lot of spare time to do it haha looks great either way ps - bbq galore update the instructions

The BBQ itself is fantastic, the heat is perfect and spread evenly over both the grill and hot plate, no risk of a stewed steak here! The warming rack is sturdy and of a good size, it has an external gas bottle holder, side shelves and a ring burner as well as a fabulous cupboard underneath perfect for storing all of your BBQ essentials. It is a great size and an absolute ripper of a BBQ. However.....The assembly of this BBQ was in fact the most hellish experience of my life, my marriage nearly broke down in the process of trying to assemble this BBQ. A BBQ should NEVER be broken down into that many disassembled parts, it is a great BBQ but assemble at your own peril. Be prepared.

Great BBQ at a great price!

We bought this becasuw of the price when compared to other barbecues and are really enjoying it! We read the reviews about taking a long time to put together and the instructions are absolutely useless, however, my tradie son put it together in about 2 hours and we were cooking on it right away. You will need a gas bottle with the new fitting - swap and go locations do have them but some still have bottles with old fittings mixed in. Couldn’t be happier with the BBQ for the price and function! Highly recommended.

Great bbq, requires some tweeks

Great BBQ. Installation instructions missed = Unpack all the fittings from the hood prior to seating in the stand. So get out the gas cable for left, and the right side gas connection for side burner. This BBQ comes with the new gas connection so wont fit (currently) with your swap n go LPG tank. I had to buy a gas mate hose and fitting and swap out the new type until that comes the norm.(keep the old).

NEW BARBECUE ENJOYMENT

The barbecue looks beautiful, works well and we are enjoying using it! Sausages are on the menu for tonight’s dinner. We have cooked many different types of meat which turned out delicious. The assembly instructions were the only negative. They must have been written by someone illiterate. We persevered and it was very much worth it!

The BBQ Wars: Episode 1

I purchased a BBQ from another place that will remain nameless (Clue:It rhymes with Funnings). It then proceeded to run so hot you couldn’t turn a steak over, I had BBQ tongs that were almost a foot long and it still burnt the hairs on my hands, it also decided once to catch fire. Upon returning it to “Funnings” they proceeded to blame the operator and not the product (Despite the fact I have been BBQing for 20 years). They finally folded and gave me a full refund after I went “Karen” on them (Not a proud moment in my life). I used said refund to purchase this BBQ and so far it has been a Godsend, I have cooked up all types of animal meats: Beef, pork, vegans, cyclists etc, they have all cooked great, would recommend. not recomended for people who hate complecated builds

Overall good looking BBQ.But.... Building it was a pain in the ass. straight forward instructions, but not in the best of order. for example undoing bolts you did in the begining at the end just to place other parts.Dont buy one if you have to build it yourself. its not satifying.
