I love Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner. I always use this fabric conditioner every time for laundry. I just need put 1/3 of cup for medium loads, 2/3 of cup for large loads, 1 full cup for full capacity loads. It brings lasting freshness for all my clothes. My clothes’s colors are protected. Beside, this fabric softens, fights stretch, reduces wrinkles, anti-static, anti-fuzz. All my family members like the fresh scent and feel comfortable when putting clothes on.

I'm REALLY liking my April Fresh Ultra Downy! I had used Downy products in the past. However, the measuring lines in the caps were NOT for he products - and we had to use trial and error - since then, they've added the NEW markings based on regular, NOT "ultra", measuring lines built in to the cap. What I AM liking about the new cap that I have is the fact that they've taken the guess work out and are including the ACTUAL measurement markings for the "he" compatible concentrated product - NICE! It has a very nice aroma. The product does seem to soften, however, it also depends on whether you do one or two rinses. I have found a couple of things that I do not care for - the fact that the fragrance does not last - only three or four days, tops. And, It would be nice if the makers of Downy would NOT use a coloring agent OR, at least make it less blue and more "opaque" - almost clear. The product really doesn't keep my clothing bright, doesn't have long lasting freshness, I still have static cling UNLESS I use a dryer sheet with it, NOR has it prevented pilling, etc. - Basically, it seems like the product does NOT do for my laundry what I have read that it is suppose to do. Yes, I DO use it from time to time - I grew up on it and it's hard to switch to something else when you've used a product for over 50 years. I DO like the fragrance and have been known to cut the bottles open - after use and dried - cutting the bottle up to use as scent providers for small areas - drawers, etc. Do I recommend this product? Yes, as a laundry additive and NOT based on all of the marketing hype. Just try it not thinking about the statements made for selling purposes and just try it and see if it's something that you'll want to use. The thing is, NO product can do what has been claimed - it's impossible - because of the rigors of daily usage of the garments AND all of the agitation of the washing machine AND water - especially, if you have city water or well water - treated or untreated. I do use it and probably will for a long time!

When I first opened the bottle of Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer, I was a bit concerned with the scent. I found it overpowering and generally not the type of scent that I am usually drawn to for laundry products (I love the Botanical Mist scented Downy products). However, I found after using the product in the wash, the scent isn't overpowering on freshly washed clothing. I think the product does help with softening fabric. I have generally tried to reduce household products with heavy scent, dyes, and other chemicals, but still find myself reaching for Downy with items such as sheets, towels, and jeans, because they feel crunchy and uncomfortable when I don't use it. With my children's skin being exposed to the fabric in their clothes and sheets pretty much all of the time, I'm unwilling to use this product on their items. All in all I think this is a decent product, but I am giving a rating of 2/5 because I do not care for the scent and because of concern over the ingredients used.

In this case, after dry the clothes (and principally the towels) weren’t so fluffy, but the smell on then was amazing. Every time someone open the closet the smell perfumes the entire house. I don’t know if the product needs the hot of a dry machine to activate the softness on fabrics…On a second try, I dried the clothes on a dryer machine. This time, they were so much more fluffy then when I dried in a open space. The towels seem another kind of fabric after dry. But, on dry machine seem that the perfume are not so accentuate like in first case. I don’t know if the heat do something on perfume… the clothes are smelling good, but are not perfuming the house.And about the perfume, even it seem very strong on bottle, it is not the kind of perfume that make me sneeze or provoke some allergic reaction.In conclusion: If I dry on open space and it leave the same strong perfume at fabric like when I use the dry machine, it will be the perfect fabric conditioner to me!But comparing with other brands and even other Downy products I have tried, this one is the best by now.

Downy has always been the fabric softener we use in our household. The classic April Fresh scent is my absolute favorite. My clothes are so soft and smell amazing even weeks after I’ve washed them using Downy. Compared to other similar products this one is always no.1 on my list.The quality is also top notch! The consistency is not watered down and is safe for my High Effeciency (HE) washer. I’ve used other brands previously that have clogged my softener dispenser... My laundry smelled really good while the washer was running, but I am not sure I am totally sold on the product.I wanted to try this product because at this time of year my clothes smell like sweat and deodorant by the end of the day and sometimes that smell is nearly impossible to totally remove so I was hoping this product could cover the smell.I was a little concerned that "April Fresh" would have some kind of pollen or something in it that would cause allergic reactions, but it seems the smell is created by more of a synthetic process. I'd rather keep using fabric deodorizer to fight the smells than have to buy new clothes more often. If it spills it is very sticky but until it dries, cleans up like spilled oil - you want to avoid spills if you can.

I have always loved the Downy brand and have used it almost exclusively for years. I was excited to try the new and improved version of Downy, so I used it for the last week on all my loads of laundry. I received the April Fresh scented Downy and to be honest, it’s the scent I have always liked the least. It’s a generic scent that many brands carry and it’s a little old lady smelling. Barring the unfavorable scent though, I think the improved Downy is... the same. Perhaps the difference is just more subtle than I expected. I purposely watched my bed sheets so that I would have something I would be in contact with every day for a week, but I didn’t notice much difference between the old Downy I normally use and the new version.
