I took a one of a kind silk gown on a cruise and also brought some downy wrinkle release. I hung my item in the closet and spot tested an area as the directions suggested. The next night I came back to check the item and the spot I had tested the spray on was covered with holes that looked melted into the silk. I contacted downy and they refuse to take responsibility.

I'll admit it, I'm a clothing addict and my closets are packed to the max and my drawers are overflowing, plus I hang most of my clothing to dry which means wrinkles. Rushing trying to get dressed and noticed the outfit I had picked out the previous night didn’t work for the surprise cold front we are having. So I had to dig in the winter clothes box to find my sweater dress. After finding it in its wrinkled mess. I was so at the point of rescheduling my appointment then I remembered I have the Downy Wrinkle Guard Fresh Wrinkle Releaser Fabric Spray.I laid the sweater dress on my bed shook up the Downy Wrinkle guard and pushed the trigger. Now I am trying to figure a way to take it with me when I travel. Hopefully they will have a travel size soon. The only con and it’s so small is I don’t like getting the product on my hands when smoothing. To be honest it’s not that much product due to the fine mist. I was able to fix the issue by grabbing some plastic gloves. This might not be a big issue for some but for those like me using gloves helps a lot. The reason I am giving such a terrible review is because they have ruined a beautiful thing by changing their packaging. It used to be in a plastic spray bottle and was very easy to use. Now that it’s in a metal can, it drips all over the place, including my hand, down my arm and all over the floor. I have been using Downy Wrinkle Releaser for years (nearly 20 years) and I absolutely love it and cannot live without it! I am terrible at ironing and often don’t have time for my steamer to heat up and then wait for my clothes to dry. I also use Downy Wrinkle Releaser as my secret weapon against tight pants, just spray the tight areas, wipe down the fabric, put on the pants and do some bends or squats to stretch them out and like magic your pants fit again! This spray is very easy to use and works fast. I had no problems using it at all. It smells great is a great option for those, like me, who don't always fold their clothes after drying. I just hang it on a hanger, spray it on, and then stretch the fabric slightly in all directions. You won't need to soak it with spray either, in fact, less is more. If you apply too much of this, it will still work, but it will be considerably damp and will defeat the purpose if you're in a hurry. What I like the most, there is a pleasant aroma left behind and your clothes feel softer too. To sum it all up; This product is great for anyone who has some wrinkles they need to release at a moment's notice. Could possible extend your laundry if you were camping as well.
