I really like this hair mask! It makes my hair really shiny and soft. However, it’s not my go-to mask. I don’t feel like it is really providing any nutrients for my hair because my hair doesn’t improve over time with this mask. The effects only last until my next wash. I have fine, dense hair with dry, highlighted ends. It is a really good deal for the price! The only other masks I’ve tried that provide this level of shininess are $50+ so I do recommend this for an affordable option. I also really like that it has a pump and that it’s colorless, so you can add toning drops to it. I have highlighted hair just at my ends because I’m growing out highlights and I like that I can put some purple toning drops in this mask for just the application to my ends, and do a ... Very messy. You most definitely need gloves or you will have to bleach your hands! I bought this mainly to tone down the reddish hue from an old professional dye job I was growing out and didn't like. I would say that this product did tone the red down a little (also the fine greys I have), but I didn't really like the feel of my hair afterwards - it felt a little powdery and stiff and I imagine it the coats the hair rather than dying it permanently. The effect also didn't last very long - I wash my long fine oily hair every day, and therefore it was all a bit of a waste of time for me. I'd say that if you use this product, you have to ensure you have gloves and the proper tools to hand: old towel, cover for clothes, dye applicator for around hairline (put product ... However, Cool Medium Brown is the absolute BEST!!! If you leave it on dry hair for 30 minutes, I would say it is closer to a level 6 aka light brown. There is no hint of warmth. It is as close to a match for my natural hair color as I am ever going to find in a semipermanent (non-damaging) dye and I could not be more pleased!!!Pro tip: apply conditioner along your hairline before applying this color (and wear gloves) or it will stain your skin because it is very pigmented!

The stench is hyper-gross and so strong that it doesn't wash away. I washed my hair about six times to try to get rid of the smell. The odor is so heavy that it caused me to have a coughing attack. Even the biggest lovers of fragrance would probably find this to be overkill. Unless you want yourself and everyone around you to be subjected to the overwhelming and pungent odor of bug spray and cancer, I'd avoid. The smell of dog crap lingers less than this. It even crossed my mind to just shave all my hair off. Use Kristen Ess glosses instead.
I loved the ease of not having to mix this product and having both the option to apply in-shower to damp hair or to dry. I used the dark brown which was perfectly suitable for my hair color. For the first application I used the in-shower on damp hair method. This sounded like no brainer... I didn't have to worry about the product getting on anything, I was already going to wash my hair anyway, and I could quickly and easily wash my hands to prevent the pigment from staining my hands... Right? Yes, to all but the latter!!! The company does warn that darker shades can stain the skin but I never imagined that it would stain my hands the second it made contact. I had to scrub my hands with a pumice stone until they were sore and raw in order to get the stains off. You ... I had to scrub my hands with a pumice stone until they were sore and raw in order to get the stains off. You have been warned :) Now fearful of what was the underestimated power of this product, I only left it on my hair for approximately 5 minutes. The results were great, as I did notice my color was a beautiful, deeper, richer version of its self prior to the treatment. Thankfully, my hair is already shiny so I am unable to review that aspect of the products claim. After 2 weeks I thought it only be fair to try this product using the dry method and left it on for the same duration of time for a most accurate comparison... This time, I used gloves :) The results were equally as positive and effective without the stress of staining. Both applications were super easy, as there was no mixing, the product comes in an easy to use bottle with a pump dispenser and the formula is rich and thick making for an effortless application. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for more dimension and an easy at home semipermanent color either in between visits to the salon or just to give your locks an extra boost of shine and depth. Compared to similar products, dpHUE delivered a richer longer lasting color. I would definitely recommend this product and will be repurchasing in the future.
I have virgin medium strawberry blonde hair. I had a bayalage many (4+) years ago, but havent dyed or lightened it since. I bought strawberry in the hopes of bringing some more warmth into my hair. I have long and thick hair and because this is supposed to be applied to damp hair, it was hard to section my hair evenly.I applied the best i could, then gently brushed the product throughout my hair. I left it in for 15-20 minutes, rinsed, and conditioned my hair as normal. After I dried it, i did notice some areas where there wasnt as much red as i would have liked, but because of my natural hair color, it isnt as noticeable.Overall, I am very happy with the results. The smell of the product is a mild ammonia smell and completely disappeared after applying my styling products. Wear a pair of well fitting gloves! I wore a pair of cheesy gloves you get with the just for men beard dye (i use it for my brows), and i wish i had a better pair when i was applying the product. It would have made the process easier. The next time i use this product i plan to section my hair, wet it with a continuous mist spray bottle, then apply the conditioner to my hair to allow for more even and full coverage. Because of the length and thickness of my hair, i will likely only get 2 uses per bottle.
Incredible product! I know they have a disclaimer that this is not meant to cover greys, however wow, for me it totally does. I have salt & pepper hair, probably about 30% grey with a ton of white around my hairline and temples. I stopped coloring years ago and didn't want to return to pricey and time-consuming salon treatments. I had low expectations for this, and am blown away. I am using the Dark Brown and apply it on dry clean hair and let it sit for 45 minutes, sometimes even an hour. I have long hair and I use about half the bottle each time, making sure it's fully saturated. It completely covers my greys, makes my base a shiny rich chocolate brown, and it looks like I have caramel highlights. It does pull warm for me, in the areas my hair is most white, this ... It does pull warm for me, in the areas my hair is most white, this product can make it look orange, however I use this same brand's blue shampoo & conditioner and it tones it down a lot. Now I use the blue shampoo before applying the color every 2 weeks. I don't wash my hair more than once a week so it barely even fades. Cannot say enough about this product - if I had discovered it years ago when I started going grey, I would have never gone to salon. Hair stylists probably do not want you to discover this!
I tried the light brown color. I was very nervous about the staining that the directions mentioned. I was also concerned that the product would be overly pigmented and drastically change the color of my dark blonde hair. I usually use a semi-permanent hair dye every few months. I have also used hair gloss that washes out in the next shower. My main goal for coloring my hair is to cover random grays that I have through my hair and brighten my natural color. I used quite a bit of the product and to be honest, my hands were stained. I was concerned at first, but I washed it off with soap and light exfoliation when I was done distributing the color and my hands did not stay stained. It was somewhat difficult to distribute the product in my hair, but when I washed and dried it was pretty well blended and the areas that didn't get much of the gloss were not very noticeable. The gloss did cover my gray strands which I was pleasantly surprised about. The color lasted through my first wash and I'll be looking forward to seeing how it compares to semi-permanent hair dye. Overall I was really happy with the product and I will definitely be using it again since I was really happy with the results that it gave me.
I started using the dark brown last year. I have hair that's on the darker side of medium brown w natural gold and red in it. Sometimes i wanted to cover the warm tones, but rn my new favorite combo is mixing the dark brown and the copper. I seem fo like my hair warm better when its darker. And i can also see why ppl buy this in clear, the conditioning it gives is an actual treatment like result. As often as i try to only buy this on sale, it really is worth the money. My hair is long, course and curly. You dont need as much of the product as you think. As you put it on, it softens your hair and it doesnt suck up the product if you go slow (ppl with coarse hair know what im talking about) I could talk about this all day. If you are on the fence about this maybe just try your own hair color, revitalize the color, gloss it and condition it. Happy coloring
This stuff WORKS. I have naturally dark brown hair that I bleached and colored red about a year ago, so I'm trying to keep the health of my lengths and ends by using color depositing conditioner rather than chemical hair color. When the color starts to fade, I apply the Dark Brown color on towel dried hair in the shower, leave for 30 minutes, then rinse. My hair is so soft and shiny afterwards, with my ends looking nice and dark like expected. HOWEVER, when I had copper hair, I purchased the Copper color so that I could similarly keep the color fresh without using harsh dyes on my processed hair. The downside to that was that this product lasts quite a while in the hair before fading, so I looked like Ariel for about a month. So, it's a long-lasting product that works very well and does what it says it does. But do not purchase the copper color if you want a "natural" result, because that is not what you will get. The Dark Brown shade works lovely though.
