While I am extremely happy with your customer service and the ease of returning a first pair of damaged 1461's, I am quite disappointed with the 2nd pair as well. I have only worn them TWICE and the right shoe already has hideous creases. I also used the DrMarten protectant sealant before I wore them. I did not expect a pair of 120.00 shoes to wear so quickly and so noticeably. Ironically, the reason for my initial exchange was an ugly crease also on the right shoe. I believe this to be some kind of manufacturing error. If I thought I could return this 2nd pair, I would. And get a totally different style. This model doesn't seem to be made well at all. I was about to walk out of the brick & mortar DSW after trying on countless shoes, (not to mention that nearly half the styles that interested me were out of stock in my size). These Docs caught my eye but I was reluctant to spend that kind of money. I reminded myself that footwear is an investment and so I tried them on. Perfect fit and support, along with classic Doc style. Quality construction and materials. I don't regret the purchase one iota. These are my near daily footwear now. Highly recommended.

Owned 8 pairs of Hazeldons in the past. Apparently they've been discontinued. Bought these Crazy Horse as replacements. The size fits. These "creak" in the toe. The leather is sharp around the ankles and sharply rubs against the Achilles tendons. The toe box is narrower not as comfortable as the Hazeldons. The sole is not as cushioned. Would have returned them, but put a minor scuff in one. They now reside in the closet and are overlooked in favor of a more comfortable shoe. The quality isn't as good either. After spending $120, I'm sorely disappointed.

While I am extremely happy with your customer service and the ease of returning a first pair of damaged 1461's, I am quite disappointed with the 2nd pair as well. I have only worn them TWICE and the right shoe already has hideous creases. I also used the DrMarten protectant sealant before I wore them. I did not expect a pair of 120.00 shoes to wear so quickly and so noticeably. Ironically, the reason for my initial exchange was an ugly crease also on the right shoe. Just added this brown pair to my collection. I’ve now got cherry red (which are actually my favourite), blue, yellow and black and I love them all. The most comfortable shoes in the world after you break them in…These brown ones look even better than the pictures on the website. The yellow stitching really goes with the colour. Very satisfied customer 😊
This is my favorite kind of leather.I actually wanted the ziggy version of this leather oxford, but they were out of stock. while i was waiting for these to arrive, the ziggys came back in stock so i ordered them in the same brown leather and i returned these once they arrived. So, this review is for everything except the sole, basically. the leather is really handsome and feels more “real” than the usual polished leather. i like how it has an unpredictable surface. i’m lucky they fit me pretty well, since dr martens are notorious for not offering half sizes. i’m a 9 lengthwise but have wide feet so i almost always need a 10. but it’s weird because sometimes 10 will simply be too long to fit, and sometimes a 10 will fit but only in a wide version. in vans and red ... I am always a US women's 10. I haven't bought anything else in years. I got the women's 10, but the label said that was the equivalent to a men's 9 or a EU 42 which was strange to me because most other places a women's 10 is a men's 8.5 or a EU 41. The first pair was way too big, so I exchanged them for a women's 9 which fit great. Great quality and so cute, I cannot wait to wear them. Definitely worth the wait! Returning the first pair was easy and fast. I would personally recommend ordering a size down or expect to have to try a pair or two before you find the right size. Besides the confusion with these shoes running a whole size too big, I am very happy with my purchase.
I got this shoes at an amazing price and in beautiful color. Before wearing them I impregnated them with saphir dubbin which is a fat for leather and color changed to dark chocolate. Trust me, your shoes need impregnation before wearing outside, the leather became more flexible and water resisant. After two wears they are still a little bit stiff but longer sock solves the problem and I've heard that they will break in over time. Sizing is misleading tho.
This was my second pair of Dr. Martens. I was very pleased with the first pair that were given to me and bought in person. This time I was buying from your web site because being after Christmas and supply problems they were impossible to find at stores. I really like the Docs I have, but I couldn't believe what had shown up in the mail. The Docs I had received were in TERRIBLE condition! They were cracked and had scuff marks all over! My black 1461's that I got for Christmas still look like their brand new and I wear those to work four out of five days a week. I was very disappointed with the shoe. I literally tried them on at home, saw the condition they were in, re- boxed them and sent them back to you guys. I will never order online again.
Buy these every decade or so since around ‘85. Long break in process. Great for standing and walking in general, not real long walks. . Made in Englands are much higher quality. They also cost a lot more and have an even longer break in. Eventually mold to your feet somewhat. I also have comb zip up and a few different colors of this equivalent.
These shoes are just incredible. I am a Bank/Credit Union Teller and am on my feet 8 - 10 hours a day. These shoes have taken away the pain, keep my feet comfortable all day and are a joy even to wear after that. It is true that it does take time to break them in but once that is done there is nothing else to do but enjoy the pure beauty and craftsmanship behind them. The only recommendation would be a removal insole if needed for people with orthopedics as currently it raises the foot too much and the heel feels like it will slip out. At this point I am seriously tempted to by the boots just to fix that problem. Definitely 5 stars. Note this is the same quality leather used on limited US Postal bags when the Zip Code was being promoted in the United States in the ... MoreThese shoes are just incredible.
