I own six pair of Dr Martens different styles and love Dr Martens. I ordered this style. It was too short and very stiff. I returned it right away as I find it a defective fit it may just be the pair I received and asked not to be charged the $7 return fee. They don’t care and charged it anyway. I removed me from their mailing list and will only buy In store now that I can try them on. I wear my other Dr Martens everyday working as a caregiver they are most comfortable shoes in the world. I bought my first three pair in a London Store and I was hooked never buy another brand.

When I buy a pair of shoes, I want them to be comfortable from the start. I don’t like shoes that require you to be uncomfortable for a while and that is the situation with these shoes. I wear size 10 shoes. I ordered these shoes in size 10. My feet could not get in; even with a shoe spoon. One reason could be that the leather is too rigid. Another could be that you need to wear one size bigger than what you usually wear. The brand name is reassuring but ultimately it is a matter of comfort.

Very high quality shoes. They take 2 weeks or so the wear in, but once this is done they are a joy to wear. Extremely comfortable, sturdy and feel like they will last a very long time with proper care. They are a little more pointed at the end than a traditional doc marten, giving them a slightly more formal/business look. The full black adds to this. They are also suited for someone with a slightly more narrow foot, so think about going a size up if you have a wide foot or think about opting for a different style. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a smart shoes.

Comfy right out of the box. Zero need to break them in which is pretty rare for new DMs.Sizing was as I expected. I'm usually a 9 US W in most brands and I ordered UK6/US W 8 because they're a unisex style. (in women only DM styles, I would order my actual size)I wouldn't say that they run large bc they don't but I found them to be a tiiiiiny bit loose though not in an uncomfortable way. Sizing down even more would NOT have worked because then they would've been too tight.Great shoe especially for the sale price I paid! Glad I ordered them. A+
I didn't ever buy a pair of Docs back in the '80's in Seattle because my friends who did talked about how heavy they were and how long the break in period was. And I couldn't afford them back them. I was looking for a pair of oxfords in this color and these popped up so I decided to try them. I am very happy I did. These have been comfortable from day one. They are sturdy as expected with Docs but not uncomfortably so. I am a 55 year old Special Education teacher and cannot do my job in painful shoes that hinder my ability to run after a kiddo or simply sap my energy like a bad fitting pair of shoes can. I've worn these to school many times and will keep wearing them. Definitely a good get.
Bought for school. 14 year old girl. Soft leather, Fits with schools right rules on branding and coloured threads, but kid still likes them. Comfortable all day. Surviving rain. Kid walks minimum of 2 miles per day. No blisters. We sized down. We needed something more robust. These are a good price. Hopefully they will last. My last pair of DMs lasted 14 years, we are not expecting that long, but a couple of years would be a bonus.
Love the look of these shoes. Had a similar pair which I wore to shreds. Thought these would be about the same. Not so. These have been tough to break in despite much manual bending, flexing, and twisting. A persistent snap originating from the sole makes them unfit to wear in public yet and the stiff uppers pinch where the creases are (or might be some day) when I walk. Wish I could give a better review. Thinking about returning them for a different pair. Overall, my past experience with DMs have been superior.
I will admit it's been a few years since I bought a pair of DMS and although I have worn them for 40+ years i had forgotten how uncomfortable they are. These will take some breaking in - my arches ache, ankles cut and toes blistered. You really should provide a leather softener with ALL shoes.As you don't do half sizes bought 12 and tried gel insoles but have to wear thick socks instead.On top of that am now bombarded with DM adverts offering me 10% on my first order. Somehow missed that. Can I get retrospectively.Doesn't matter, think this will be my last pair of DMs.Peter
I've had many pair of Dr Martens shoes and boots over the years with zero complaints. These were the first pair I've ever returned, for three reasons. First, I agree with other reviewers that these are so stiff, the material feels more like hard plastic rather than leather. Second, I ordered my usual size (typically a women's 7 in other brands, a women's 6 in Docs) and they were way too small. Third, I was hoping for a cute pair of oxfords for the office to wear with business casual outfits but I found them to be too masculine looking - I think it's due to the high placement of the laces.
I have bought this shoe for great many years. they fit like a glove not too tight , easy to wear and not cutting at the heel.Unfortunately I find this pair a bit tight to put on , socks are the same, it is the shoe, they ease after a while, and nabs me at the left ankle.just not good enough at the price.Maybe its the country making them have slimmer feet or whatever but dr Martens will not be my first choice and I have already started looking at other shoe makers .Spend more time on your shoes for straight ordinary individuals looking for shoes and not your social agenda.
