I love these shoes but I will be sneaking up on no one! Somewhere between the arch and toes, there is a space that squeaks...loudly. It almost feels like there is a gap between the sole of the shoe and the inside lining. I spent a lot of time online trying to figure out how to get rid of the noise...but sadly, I am left hoping that it is something that will go away as the shoe breaks in. Speaking of breaking in...they are very stiff and a bit painful to wear at first. that is to be expected with Dr. Martens though.

These are a great pair of shoes. It's so nice to get a product that's actually worth what you paid for it. Beautiful, stylish, well constructed. Sure there's a break-in period; just respect that and you'll have happy feet.

I wanted black oxfords that be appropriate for teaching or for date night/going out, and these were perfect. I tried the unisex fit in womens 6 and womens 7 first, and neither fit right -- both were too wide in the heel and toebox, the 6 was a bit too short, and the 7 was too long. The women's fit size 7 is perfect (with some breaking in, of course)! For reference, I usually wear a size 7-8 (7.5-8 in sneakers, 7-7.5 in other shoes).

My daughter wanted these for Christmas. She is a size 7.5. I heard conflicting advice on which size to get because Dr. Martens don't come in half sizes. I ordered her the size 7 and size 8 so she could try both in. She is keeping the size 7. The size 8 was definitely slipping when she walked. The size 7 is tighter on the heel, but she has good room in the toes. I think a few days of breaking them in will do the trick! The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the shipping time. I was told that shipping would take 10-14 business days including the processing, however, it took longer than that and they arrived after Christmas. Fortunately, my daughter was understanding. Just make sure you order way in advance!
I wanted a pair of lace up leather shoes and Dr Martens was the only one that I could find that had them. I Love my Dr Marten shoes. They keep my feet from hurting, happy feet! I like them so much I ordered a second pair in different color and they were on sale! I most certain they will last me a life time because of the quality of the shoes.
I really do not like the shoes but unfortunately you can’t return them if you took the tag off. The moment I put them on, I knew that they were not the right style for me, but I took the tag off anyways. They rub the back of my heel raw and they look goofy with socks on. I wish I hadn’t of bought these shoes
I have been buying Dr. Marten shoes for 35 years. I have half a dozen pair, the oldest being a pair of boots and Mary Janes I still wear. Beautiful shape to this day. Most importantly I’ve never had an issue and wore them straight out of the box without.The 1461 shoes I just purchased were beyond uncomfortable.There is no reason a company that has been making shoes for as long as you have has shoes so ill fitting.Additionally, our family business requires PPE. A lot of the employees do not use Dr. Marten anymore. They can’t afford the time it takes to break in a pair of boot now when they can, for example, buy Redwing and wear them comfortably straight out of the box.Quality is not there any longer. The name has become watered down trend. Sad.
I had doc martens years ago and loved them. Feeling nostalgic, bought these. I previously tried another style my usual size 10 and they were HUGE so this time I ordered 9. Couldn't get them on my feet. The leather was so stiff. What is up with the sizing? So disappointed having to deal with returning both.
These shoes are literally life changing and are now my signature shoe ;-P I've been wanting a nice, simple pair of oxfords, but they’re so much more than that. They're a perfect blend of rugged and feminine depending on how you dress them. And they're such high quality too, I was able to break them in pretty quick and they already fit like a glove. I enjoy the look and feel and I am just so happy I went for these. I absolutely love these shoes.
I have these in the cream color. So glad I stuck with this stylish shoe. I began wearing them around the house and realized my achilles would get a blister. I had a brainstorm and removed the insole and wore a thicker sock. This solved the issue. Now my shoe is broken in and comfortable to wear. I get many compliments.
