Ok, maybe talk to me again in 3 months, but I don’t understand how you’re supposed to get your foot into this shoe? I have skinny ankles and I need to practically dislocate my foot and spend 20 minutes of wriggling to get past the elastic gussets. Once in, the width and length is perfect, meanwhile I’m losing circulation around my ankles. I’ve spent the last 2 weeks stretching them out with scrunched up paper and wide gin bottles, lots of leather conditioner, wearing at home etc and just now finally getting bearable. I’m hoping they continue to improve, but for whose feet are they designed? I’ve had Chelsea style before with no problems. What’s with the ankle space, Dr M?

My first experience with Dr. M was not good. When I received my new my boots the pull tag on the back was tore in half. So when I contacted you regarding this issue, I was told a pair would be shipped out but then later was told I had to return my pair before another would be shipped out. I did want a smaller size, I originally ordered an 8 and wanted a 7. So several days after I contacted you telling you I had returned my boots I was told the size I wanted was out of stock till first of March. I then was told I would be issued a credit and she would send over a discount code for a future purchase, which I have yet to receive the discount code or a reply!

Purchased this boot less than one year ago and just ordered a replacement pair. These boots fit great and are still comfortable, the tread however didn’t hold up to bartending very long. I’ve ordered the Dr.Martens Fellside Chelsea non-slip this time around in hopes that the tread design may last longer than 10-12 months. This tread also wasn’t the best in terms of slip-resistance, the Fellside design seems to address that!

This is my first pair of Dr. Martens. I usually wear Women US Size 6 (pumps/heels) and Women US Size 6.5 (sneakers). I ordered Women US Size 6 for Dr. Martens and it fits just how I want it (not snug and enough space for a thin or even a thick socks). Very comfortable and not heavy at all. Aesthetically very pleasing to what I have been looking for. Considering to get a pair of their Mary Jane in the future.
Very good quality boots. It was the first time I bought this brand, I've been told it could be a bit uncomfortable at the beginning as many leather shoes, but not really. It's quite comfortable already.
I've had trouble with the original smooth leather being very uncomfortable on the tops of my feet, but decided to give the Nappa leather a try. These were incredibly comfortable. The leather is more suple so the break-in period was painless. I just did a 3-mile hike without any problems. These are now my new everyday boots!
Finally caved & bought a pair, expected them to be everything & more, based on what I’ve heard from others. I do find that they run exceptionally wider than most boots which I love, but expected them to be more comfortable. I found that they don’t quite live up to the hype that I heard, but they’re still a well made, good quality boot.
I've wanted a pair like these for a long time and they did not disappoint. Didn't need time to break in like my other Doc's. True to size. Absolutely adore them. I could see these becoming my new go-to for fall and winters for years to come.
Initially I was going to send these boots back. They were difficult to put on due to the tight ankle throat. Then I remembered the old days when the shoes were made of thick, long lasting leathers. It took some time to break in. So I gave these boots the benefit of time. They are breaking in and expanding to fit the contours of my feet like gloves. With the quality soles, I expect to have these shoes a right smart piece of time. They continue to get more and more comfortable. Yes, I will give them a 5 star rating.
Love these - you can dress them up or down. They are quite comfortable however just require a bit of breaking in. This is my first pair of Docs so I am not sure what the general consensus is, but found that these run a little bit large (size 10, but probably a more snug fit into a size 9)Either way not a big deal, just something to note!
