I am a size 8.5 in shoes and 9.0 in boots/booties. I followed the reviews and sized down to an 8 in these Doc Martens. The left shoe fit larger than the right one, i.e. my left foot slipped out of the shoe as I walked, while the right shoe fit perfectly. I returned these for another size 8 hoping this 2nd pair would be sized correctly. This time the 2nd pair was just the opposite-right shoe too big, left one perfect. I expected more for $150 and from this brand. Upon closer inspection, the leather is not that thick and the top fringe piece under the tassel looks cheaply cut. Very disappointed.

I’ve had othe doc martens shoes with superior quality. This pair has a nice heavy sole but the leather gives “ASOS” quality. I order this shoe twice. And I would’ve ordered a third because the size was still too big. I wear a 7.5 so I sized down to a 7 which was huge. So I paid the $7 to return them and bought a 6. There are no exchanges. And I didn’t want to pay $7 again and take the chance of ordering a size 5 and have that not fit me too. Overall not very satisfied with my online shopping experience

The shoes are gorgeous. Good quality. Luckily no blisters. Easy to break in. They do run big so the smallest size they have fits me a bit too big. I originally ordered a size 6 in women’s thinking they would be true to size but they were huge so I had to return. I did go to the store and purchase a size 5 and it’s still a bit big. Still bought them though. I recommend. I keep getting compliments on the shoes.

i wear an 8 in docs, but let me tell you- these are HUGE. i am a true 8.5 and usually size down to an 8. i have the chelsea in an 8 and they’re even slightly snug, so i thought i would do the same for these but NOPE. size down to what you think you are. i purchased a 7 and it’s perfect. and i am NOT a 7, but seriously SIZE DOWN. i should’ve read the reviews before purchasing. other than that, i LOVE. perfect for business casual.
I’ve been on the fence about buying this style for a long time. I own quite the collection of docs and the sizing on this one was a full size under my normal. I wear a size 8 in every other style ( I go between an 8-8.5 in other brands 39 in Birkenstock) and I ordered a 7 in this style and it was perfect. I have room to wear a sock that is on the thinner side (no winter wool socks the ankle bow socks are perfect). There was still a bit of a wear in, I have some red marks on the top where there was a bit of rubbing from the fold of the shoe. All in all I really love these and I’m tempted to buy the platform style too.
I want to start off by saying, Dr. Martens are the brand that I buy when I am looking to stay within a budget but get the best quality. I started a new job and have been searching endlessly for an everyday pair of shoes, these are it. I will say, you have to wear socks with these at the beginning to keep your feet from rubbing or hurting. I have also been using shoe stretchers to help the processes - as we all know with Dr. Martens it takes time. I recommend sizing down (def not up) I am a size 10 normally and I got a size 9… per usual with this brand. Just be mindful at the beginning you will have to work the leather to help with stretching and molding to your foot. Regardless, these are must add to your collection. You can do so much with loafers. Hope this helps.
I really loved these shoes. They're comfortable, look great and I was hoping they'd be a go to shoe for work. However, the construction is really lacking. I bought them in November 2023. The strap for my right loafer started coming undone within one month leading the shoe to be very loose. Currently, it's very difficult to wear since the strap is almost fully undone.
Definitely size down on these loafers. I usually wear a size 7 and the 7 (UK 5) was too big even though the inch measurement for the 7 is what I usually buy. Can't comment on any other factor with fit as size 6 was unavailable. Haven't had a pair of Dr Martens before so can't compare them to past shoes. Have been looking for a pair of clunky loafers and these fit the bill - good, solid lug sole and great design. Would look great with jeans, dress pants, dresses and skirts.
Really nice and look great with heaps of outfits.Being Docs, you need to allow time to break in. They may sleep as first as they will be more rigid to begin with. You can get heel slips to help combat this.Do not listen to people who complain about blisters, this happens with all docs.. it is brand new leather it needs to wear in.Also go a size down from your standard size.
I am a size 5 in all other Dr M shoes, so when I got these bex delivered I was very disappointed. They felt one size too big, so I did the return process took it to the UPS on a Saturday evening. The next day I decided to go to the store directly and tell them my disappointment. Luckily the girl told me all I need was a cushion sole and it should fit ! So I tried the one she gave me and wow!!! It FIT just right !!! So I ran back to the ups store on Monday (close Sundays) and thank god my package was still at the ups store! So I was able to keep my bex. I was very happy that the sole cushion fixed my problem.
