This book goes into detail but is easy to understand. I think this is probably the best keto book I've read so far. He tells you both sides. He tells about things you need to know not just the whole medical jargon in easy to understand, and often funny, language. I laughed and cried reading it. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone thinking about starting the Keto way of life. The recipes included in the back of the book are easy to follow as well.

This books presents a clear picture of how to switch the body's metabolic switch and develop lasting good habits to maintain good health, and achieve a sustainable body weight. I found this book much easier to read than the intial book - the Fast 800. I believe the recipes and the method in this book, which is slightly tweaked to include more protein, suits me much better.
This is book is written in such a way that your questions are answered before you've had time to ask them. The author and his wife have made it easy for everyone to follow the instructions and get results almost immediately. It is not cumbersome to understand as so many other books are and the recipes included don't require a person to spend ridiculous amounts of money on foods they don't like. I have introduced a lot of my friends to this book and bought copies for family members. It is first rate.
Found the book really clear. Enjoy Michael Mosley's books as they are structured well and very easy to work through. Good to have recipes as part of the book. Very helpful in modifying my eating.
Good helpful information about diet. Easy recipes to follow. Like the layout of the book. Probably more anecdotes than I would like but I'm already converted! I do like the photos of many plates of food but I would like more colour pics of food. Great for a beginner into healthy eating.
I am in my late 70s and live alone. I have been slowly putting weight on especially around my middle area. With the help of this book I feel I am now on the right track. Slowly losing weight. Dr. Michael writes in a down to earth way and his wife's recipes at the back of the book are easy to follow and delicious. This will be a way of life for me now as I have more energy and feel healthy.
This was the most helpful and specific of all the keto books that I purchased. I wished it was the only one that I bought. I have followed Michael Moseley's 5:2 diet in the past with great success many years ago. This time I wanted something more sustainable and not as calorie restricted. I thought the word "fast in the title, meant it was quick, but it incorporates, fasting (as in not eating during the night). That is up to the individual.
I lost 30 kg following the original 'Fast 800'. In this book, the scientific evidence shows that doing a ' healthy ' version of keto. IE burning your fat & emerging/ easing into a sustainable Mediterranean style way of eating feeling better than ever. It's easy to understand, too!
