I recently applied these to 2 of my windows, weather being quite mild at the time. Well the first 30 degree day a week or so later, my partner went to slide open window gently, and they popped off straight away. Seems like the glue doesn’t adhere when the room or window heats up, and it’s a massive waste of money. Very disappointed in product

I have never tried this product before, but these Sliding Door and Window Locks are a lot easier to use than some of the other locks that I have tried in the past. I would definitely buy this product again. They are convenient and easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

I've had these on mirror wardrobe doors for a few months. They are stronger than they look, my toddler can't open the doors and they are very subtle.

We have had one of these on our sliding door going out to our in-ground swimming pool for several years. It was very easy to install, and works perfectly! I would highly recommend this to and family member, friend, or interested person. Our 2 year old granddaughter has started to go out the other sliding door into the play area, something our older 5 grandkids never did. I pulled the second one out of the package, and just installed it on that door. i literally wiped the spot down with rubbing alcohol, took the protective tape off the back, and set it in place 1...2...3... Thanks for a great safety product at a reasonable price!

She easily figured out the locking mechanism on the sliding door handle, but this is up out of her reach, so she can't get it (I try not to even let her see me mess with it, in case she gets an idea to get a chair). It sticks well, I've had this on for a month or two and no issues. If it comes off I'll update my review. I don't know if this would help against an intruder putting their full force on it, but it seems fairly resilient. Someone mentioned their husband breaking it off when he opened the door with it engaged. I did not have that experience. I was very excited to try this in an effort to keep my 3year old from opening our sliding door. I applied it exactly how the instructions said to and waited 48 to try it out. The first time I attempted to open the door with it in the up position, it literally popped rt off without putting up any sort of a fight!! The actual plastic seems strong and durable so with a better adhesive, I think it will work. I plan to buy a stronger piece of adhesive and try again. This is the only child safety device I hv found for sliding doors so I will try to make it work since I don't hv another option. My only other option at this point would be to drill a eye hook into the top.
While I can definitely see how a toddler would just be able to brute force it off, this sliding door lock is perfect for my cat. He kept getting into my cupboard and shredding all my clothes, but now he can't get into it at all.
I love the idea that these can be used on most Sliding Doors as well as Windows. When you have a little toddler you can neve be to cautious. Because they are made from a durable transparent material you hardly notice they are there. There are no tools required, you just attach using adhesive. I like the idea that you can use your sliding doors and windows as usual.
these are a lifesaver! Our almost-2-year-old figured out at an early age how to open our sliding doors to the deck AND how to unlock it when it's locked, so we tried a wooden piece that laid in the door frame that prevented the door from opening but it was 1) an eye sore and 2) he figured out he could just lift it up and then he would open the door anything (clever boy!) so these locks are key since we can put them up high enough that he cannot reach them! Also not noticeable since they are relatively small and clear!
I wouldn't recommend this product. I put on my toddlers mirror wardrobe. It took all but 30 seconds to open it up. Good idea but unfortunately not strong enough.
