This doesn’t stay flat when unlocked and often gets stuck in our sliding door cavity so we are unable to pull the door out to close it. We had to forcefully pull the door out which broke the lock and damaged the door. Do not recommend.

The only reason I give this 2 stars over 1 is that an alternative product sold at Bunnings to stop sliding doors or windows doesn't work AT ALL so I was forced to purchase this one. We wanted something at arm or head height and affixed the glass so that it would be accessible on the sliding door or window. Other products mean having to reach down to the floor to release. As with another reviewer, because the quality of the plastic is so poor it warps easily and it got stuck behind the cavity when and we couldn't release the door. I was worried the glass might break because of the pressure I kept using to try to jar it open. In the end I bought a thin metal ruler and used that to hold the wedge down enough for the door to jump past it. The catch is fiddly and hard on your fingers so there is a bit of time and effort spend trying to release it. If you find any alternative at all try that first. Even if it isn't expensive, it isn't worth the money, or effort to use it.

This is not good for young kids, my 3yrs old can easily unlock it in her own way.. not sturdy. May be good for small toddlers who doesn’t have nice grip with their fingers yet. Didn’t work with my 3 years old though. He is rough.
