Dremel 3000-2/30 Rotary Tool Kit

This is my second Dremel 3000. The first one died (speed control switch) after about 4-5 hours but was out warranty so ended up buying another.Thought the second one would would not have the same problem (about 3-4 hours) but same problem the speed control has the same problem. Had to give it back for repair. I'm annoyed that I don't have a tool to finish my current project (are they really going to fix something they retail for $139)

Excellent for what I need. I'm using it in my jeweĺlery making but I reckon I'll get loads of other uses from it as well. I'll have to add to the kit though, as the small amount of accessories it comes with are not enough to do much with. Also, when you're changing the bits the lock button can stick a little, but I have read this happens and it isn't a problem as long as you don't over tighten in the first place. I think the multi chuck or a mini collet kit is best to buy alongside this, as then you can use lots of different bits and accessories with it. Great buy overall.

If you are wondering, 'yes', this is powerful enough for most projects.I'm a DIYer and my Missus makes crafts. I found that this has a very powerful motor, which can be stepped down for delicate jobs. I used it recently to engrave some wood and to cut a 'slot' in a screw cross head (using other Dremel attachments), which worked perfectly and gives you an idea of how powerful it is.I would definitively recommend this set.To change the attachments you need to press a button and use the small tool, but this is no great hardship and very easy to do.The case is sturdy and has room to put in other extras you might buy.
