This is a GREAT tool, and in the right environment it really shines! I am a multitool enthusiast and have a few - including Leatherman, Swiss Army, etc. They all have their time and place. For me, this Gerber hits the sweet spot for working around the house - plumbing, electrical, construction and yard work. (Spoiler: it is NOT well-suited to hiking.) The screwdriver is excellent, the pliers are beefy and strong, the knife is a solid performer, and the saw will tackle the small stuff. There's no tinkering with can openers, cork screws, parcel hooks or mini scissors... this is something to tackle the bigger jobs. And I love how well it does all that at a reasonable price! What a special knife. This knife is amazing! It has all kind of things on it like small fastener pliers, Regular pliers, Wire cutter and Wire stripper 3.25" plain edge blade, Saw, Medium flathead driver etc.. I do day-to-day tasks with this knife. It's durable and two times strength. Center-Axis bit driver operates like a real screwdriver, providing maximum torque and rotation. This multi tool has a case. I like the 2 1/2" plain edge blade the best and the Chisel edge. The ruler and bit storage are amazing too. This set is not to replace my regular tools but if I am on the road and I need something quick it has just about everything I would need. The picture doesn't do it justice. So much better in person. Worth every penny.

The tool arrived well packaged and undamaged.I have to first say that I was expecting the Gerber Ultimate Survival Knife. That's what was requested. What I received was the Gerber Gear Dual-Force Multi-Tool, Blunt Nose Tool.The Multi-Tool is built very well. It has a great quality feel to it. I believe it will last for many years. It has the blunt nose pliers. Built into the handles is a saw, knife, screw driver, and small chisel. It also comes with a very nice belt loop case.The tool is made from solid stainless steel. All of the tool parts lock open providing safe use. I'm expecting years of good service from the tool. Even if I was expecting the knife, which I have more use for, this multi-tool will still be used many times over the years.

This is a full size multi tool that can be carried with a bit kit, extenders, sockets, and do the work of full size socket driver, driver, pliers and (with caveat) blade. The design is robust, and yes the metal on the pliers is softer so it grabs better... And they grab fairly well, at least as well as a standard pliers.I often wonder if I buy Gerber in anticipation of their little imperfections, and if they ever put it all together if it would be as interesting: The Arm Bar where perhaps the best drive of a small tool exists BUT fails to lock!! The nice square tool with exacto, file, blade, file and driver with the horrid oversized tabs... that cannot be opened properly... Alas the Center Force is a nice effort and IMO worth under $100 dollars... Think what it would cost to have a decent slip joint pliers, (decent, not great) a few nice screw drivers, and a few additional tools that are good in a pinch: (there are of course better knife blades, files, etc... And think of the price for the convenience of having those tools abbreviated into one unit and you will see how I perceive the value in dollars of this tool.
I got this multi tool to have around to eliminate trips to the toolbox. I trust Gerber for there quality and affordability and this multi tool didn’t disappoint. So far I have used the needle nose pliers the most and they work fantastic. The scissors are very sharp and cut very good. This is definitely a tool everyone should have laying around. I have another brand in my tackle box and it’s nowhere as good as the Gerber. Overall I love the versatility and the craftsmanship. I will be purchasing more for myself and for gifts. Gerber didn’t disappoint.

This is a very sturdy and well built knife. This is basically a high value version of its more expensive brothers. If you're new to survival/tactical infantry style knives, this is a great first pick. It's all I personally need, although my husband has a couple of the more expensive survival knives. I keep this one in my purse. This knife is solid. The sheath is a little light weight but works. Sturdy blade, sharpening stone on back of sheath, fire starter....perfect for keeping in the truck or car for emergencies or for your bug out bag. You really can't go wrong with this survival knife.
This multi tool is pretty awesome. It's not flimsy at all, like some can be. With all the different bits and the saw blades, it's very convenient for not having to run back to the tool box. That feature comes in handy when needing to fix fence. The carrying case is perfect size, not too bulky at all. The tool has a little bit of weight to it, which isn't much but I noticed it's more than other brands, probably due to the sturdiness of it. If you're looking for a multi tool, this is one to get! The plier feature is even stout and grips well. It folds up perfectly.
