After a long and meticulous surface preparation, and buying the best quality rollers & brushes, I carefully and painstakingly applied this paint over a large ceiling area and ended up with one of the worst finishes that I have seen. It is streaky & patchy and comes up looking like a poorly-applied undercoat.Not only do I want my money back, I want to be compensated for my lost time because I have to wait for another long weekend to do the whole thing over again, but this time with a another brand of paint.

Needed to paint a 3 x 6 ceiling in my property and decided to buy this paint since I've used their Wash and Wear wall paints and found them really good.However, this paint is a different story. After applying 2 coats, roller marks and patches appeared all over the ceiling. After checking the roller (Microfiber 11 nap 230 mm) after loading, I realised that just a little paint was being transferred to the ceiling... also it dried too fast.User error? Possibly, but I've painted with other brands and no issues. Also, goggle this paint and lots of people are having the same issue.Will call Dulux to discuss. but likely will go with another brand.

I bought this recently to paint a new ceiling. After using an undercoat primer sealer, I applied two coats of this product to a expansive ceiling. The result was a patchy paintwork job which I thought was my technique. I've painted my own houses now for over 30 years and never had this problem before. I found the paint was drying too quick not enabling a wet edge to be maintained so the next loaded paint roller could not blend into recently painted edge. I gave it another coat ensuring I overlapped as required and the finish is still streaky.

Used this paint on my brand new ceiling. Found the paint was somewhat thick compared to other paints that I have used before. Terrible coverage and paint dried very quickly so struggled to get an even coat. Applied 2 coats and I has a patchy streaky mess. I thought maybe I had done something wrong so applied another coat...a slight improvement but still very patchy and streaky. Applied a fourth coat and guess what?.. It's still the same streaky mess.Have used 12 litres of paint to cover a 30 square metre ceiling!!!! Problem is know I need to find another product and start again..
I purchased this Dulux 4L Ceiling White paint in March 2024, and after two coats, the ceiling still lookedpatchy, despite following the instructions (there are special instructions for applying this low VOC paint).Thinking that the patchy finish was my fault, I applied two more coats (four coats in total), only for theceiling to remain patchy looking... which made no sense as I've done plenty of painting around my housewith other products, and always had a good finish.Then I checked the reviews and found others had exactly the same problem. I wasted 5+ hours only to findout that I should've gone with a different product or brand.Avoid this product until they reformulate it.
Bought this paint in March of 2024 and after four attempts could not get a good finish. Dulux, to their credit, replaced the paint with Wash and Wear matt. Went on better but ended up finishing the job with Resene. Painted a lot of ceilings with other brands and never had a problem. It may suit professional painters but I would not use Dulux Ceiling White again.
Had high expectations using Dulux however was extremely underwhelmed with end result. Then i found Taubmans Brilliant Ceiling White resulting feeling suitably, very well impressed. Used alongside Taubmans Pure Prep Coat and WOW! WOW! WOW!
Painted our kitchen ceiling with this and it was streaky. Watched a You tube video about it and tried again. Still streaky. Contacted the Bunnings store where I brought it to get advice. Followed this advice to the letter and it was still streaky. FIVE coats later taking this paint to the tip and starting again with another brand. Will not buy anything Dulux again if this is what they charge for such a poor quality product. Now having read other reviews this is a VERY common occurrence with this product. I would not recommend this product to anyone, it is a rip off. Waste of time and money.

One coat later - not four and it's looking mint. If you like spending hundreds of dollars and then countless hours rolling a roof then ' waiting ' to see as it dried then buy this paint. If not then either buy the professional range of buy a competitors.
