Dungeons & Dragons Core Rulebook Gift Set
Life on the Wall can be hard, but the Brothers of the Night's Watch look out for one-another. It doesn't hurt that they have formidable siege weapons at their disposal. The Builders construct and maintain these defenses, like the Scorpion. It's smaller than the massive ballistae mounted atop the Wall, but it's still capable of launching sizeable projectiles at long range with deadly effect. The Builder Scorpion Crew Unit Box allows players to add some powerful and deadly long range weapons to their arsenal. Although it moves slowly and takes time to position, the Scorpion is a formidable enemy for any army to come up against.

I just started playing, and have been borrowing my boyfriend's books. I feel bad cause he needs them as the DM. I got the set so now I can study on my own and he doesn't have to worry about whether or not I took his books. The package came 3 days early, but there is a minor scratch across the one side. Otherwise, I'm super happy. This was a great price for the collector's box set.

The D&D Core Rulebook gift set was on sale so I finally got my hands on the physical books after using digital versions for years. This gift set was a surprise, though, when it arrived as the covers are holographic versions of the original covers! And the sturdy DMs Screen will be a nice change going forward. Overall very happy with this set!

Amazing looking books with so much info. If you're someone wanting to get into or you're already into it, this is a great purchase. You have the Player's Handbook for starting off. If down the road you wanted to run your own campaigns, you have the Monster Manual and DMs guide for that too. A great grab for the discount price.

This was a gift for my 13 year old grandson. He was absolutely thrilled with this purchase. I am sure that we will be purchasing more of the D&D items. Also, the sales associate was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
The books and screen are in perfect condition. The cover not so much. One corner is several pushed in, the back edge is damaged. And worst of all in the bottom seam on the side. I see more carboard than the black paper.
First off, it delivered at the exact time I was told. The gift set is beautiful. Everything is well made. The books are perfect and have a nice foiling effect on their covers. Also for anyone wondering, the DM screen is good quality and not flimsy at all. It reminds me of the reincarnation screen.
I brought this for my boyfriend's birthday it was great! All the books are hardcover and of good quality, the DM screen felt right compared to other DM screens I've seen. And the case is a nice finish to add all the books in.
Even though it wasn't in the original plastic seal, the item was in good condition and is worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful. If they had the additional rulebook set I'd probably have taken that one as well.
One of the biggest draws of this item, for me, was the foil covers. I expected them to look really good, but to be frank, they're hardly any different from the regular covers, just slightly shinier. The slipcase is nice and looks quite good, but one of the corners is damaged and it damaged the corner of the Player's Handbook inside, as well. The screen is quite nice, I love the dragon mural on the outside of it, and the references on the inside are helpful, but it really isn't necessary and only saves you a little bit of time. If you're an adept DM, you probably won't need it in the first place. In the end, this is a decent product whose bonuses, I believe, were hyped up too much. The damage to the slipcase is irritating, and the lack of any major difference ... MoreOne of the biggest draws of this item, for me, was the foil covers. The damage to the slipcase is irritating, and the lack of any major difference between the foil covers and regular covers is quite disappointing. If you're a perfectionist and must have the best of the best, this is for you, but for anyone else, buying the books separately is probably a better option; you won't miss the foil since you wouldn't have noticed it in the first place. You'll also be saving yourself $30 that you can use on a whole other D&D book. But if you do choose to buy this anyway, I think you'll be satisfied; it's still a nice product, just a bit disappointing. On a side note, I spent over $100 on this only to have it be damaged when it arrived? Thanks, UPS.
I have played D&D for thirty one years, that includes all editions first to fifth, with third edition being my favorite. But since I've been playing fifth edition it just feels like a HUGE expansion for third edition. The game flow and easy rule changes makes fifth edition perfect for novices and veterans alike. And this gift set is an excellent way to be introduced to fifth edition or role playing in general. The price for suggested retail is really good at 169.95 but EBAYs 98.77 can't be beat. I don't really have anything bad to say about this gift set because I LOVE it and would readily recommend it to anyone. So if you're curious about D&D pick this gift set up and get to ROLLING!!!!!!! HAPPY ADVENTURING!!!!!!!
