Used for 900 miles on my 2018 Honda CRF250RL so far, about 50\50 offroad\onroad. They've seen blacktop, packed rock, loose rock, gravel, silt, sand, large rocks, rain, and mud as deep as the rear axle.At 19psi the tire does well on blacktop but is bouncing and not hooking up when on dirt or rock of any kind. At 16psi it did well on gravel/dirt roads (25-40mph) and packed rocks but still bounced and bucked when on loose rock or large rocks. Also managed to claw its way out of the axle-deep mud once I got off the pegs and let it chew along without my added weight. This is definitely an offroad tire, as you should already know by Dunlop's claims. It works on the road - never had any sliding even when exceeding the speed limit in rain on blacktop hairpins like an ... MoreUsed for 900 miles on my 2018 Honda CRF250RL so far, about 50\50 offroad\onroad. The only times it did feel squirrelly was in deep silt/sand; even in loose rock on very steep trails it just kept driving forward. Obviously you need to lean back a bit to help it dig in, but it did great.

Rear tire for my converted klx300r. Great traction on or off road with no annoying noise or hop while on the pavement. Off road, it will take me everywhere I could go before with a dedicated dirt tire. I paired this with a Pirelli MT21 on the front, and they both work great together. Only have 100 miles on them now but I couldn't be happier.-m-2022 KAWASAKI KLX300R--

I bought my XR650R very well used; (ridden hard/put away wet) and it came with completely worn out Dunlop D606 Front and Rear. Since then I've done a lot to restore its performance; and one thing I've noticed is that the original owner had really put all the right equipment on to begin with. These D606's are no exception. All my riding requires asphalt to get to the dirt. I've ridden in Baja, Arizona, Oregon, Utah, and all over my home State of Western Washington and the Cascade Mountains. I run them at 15psi and they seem to be great all around. I wish they'd last longer but then they wouldn't be as good offroad. I dont always like to park my van with all my belongings at the trailhead of some remote area to go for a rip. So like I said, Asphalt is my friend too. ... MoreI bought my XR650R very well used; (ridden hard/put away wet) and it came with completely worn out Dunlop D606 Front and Rear. When I finally get to the dirt road, and then of course hopefully onto at least some challenging technical terrain, these D606's have handled it all. The tires are better than the rider...lol... I'd give it 5 stars for handling, wear, etc...but you can't have it all. I had one front flat in the Arizona desert this Spring. I wanted to blame it on a cactus but as it turned out it was my own fault for pinching the tube on installation. I replaced the tube with a Michelin Ultra Heavy Duty this time...I've found that the extra weight is better than a pinch flat and I don't even notice the weight. I for sure would reccomend the Dunlop D606 for the best all round 50/50 Dual Sport type tire. No doubt!-m-2001 HONDA XR650R--

I Cannot be happier with these tires.Had these installed on 22'KLR 650 And not only did the bike look Super Badass these tires are chew masters in the dirt,grass/ mud and on the higway i can rip NO problem full speed threw the corners and all; NOT a worry. As for wet pavement i didnt have an issue, obviously wasnt givin'r in the rainAlso i have put approx 2000km on these tires and have about half like left...This KLR combo'd with the Dunlop 606 well worth the price, and Sure save you from a spill. These tires are awesome transition from the paved to the gravel and mud!WILL Be ordering another set!Thank you Kindly,TRUE NORTH STRONG & FREEDallas R - Turner Valley
I bought these for an annual back-country excursion. In years past, I have used my 70-30 or even 80-20 (if they were new) tires, so naturally I was impressed with a more aggressive tire. We encountered sharp shale (range from small to 12" blocks), smooth river rock, coarse sharp granite, mud & deep water, lots of gravel, and some sand. It handled all well, and gave good grip in all conditions. Altogether we rode about 800km, and I will get one more such trip out of these tires. The photo shows the rear tire after the trip. Leading edge of the centre lug is rounded, and the lug depth is noticeably reduced. My brother was riding Metzeler MC360 Mid Soft on his Husqvarna 630, and his tires were completely destroyed by the trip.
Seems like a pretty solid offering for a true dual sport tire. Loud on the road, but grips pretty good. I have about 1500km on it on an xr650r, and it is in good shape. I think longevity will be pretty decent for full knobbie.I also got the 606 front... Can't say i recommend that. Feels skittish offroad on FSR gravel, and is so hard to turn in on road i find myself doing the opposite of countersteering.Ps both are quite difficult to mount. Rear is worse. So stiff, i could barely force it wide enough to slip the rim in to start.
Running the D606 Front on a Tenere 700, with Motoz Tractionator on rear. Hard-medium terrain typical of Eastern Ontario: limestone and granite rock, roots, babyheads, clay, rounded gravel, sand, mud, deep puddles, and crushed-stone gravel roads. Have run the D606 rear for years on my WR250R and consider it one of the best rear tire options for that bike, normally paired with MT-21 front. But the MT-21 wears fast, so figured the D606 front would serve a little better on the heavier Tenere. Previously ran the Scorpion Rally STR (excellent gravel tire) but wanted more bite for the muddy trails. Enter the D606 front with its more aggressive knobs. It grips well in straight line, but I find it wanders a bit disconcertingly on loose gravel roads compared to the STR. ... MoreRunning the D606 Front on a Tenere 700, with Motoz Tractionator on rear. It grips well in straight line, but I find it wanders a bit disconcertingly on loose gravel roads compared to the STR. Cornering grip feels more unpredictable—I’m sure it’s there, just don’t know when it’ll break loose at speed, so my cornering is less confident as a result. Braking and control in sand is good, handles wet ruts well—tracks reasonably straight with light bar input. Experimented with pressures 22-29 psi (running tubes, so don’t tend to go lower or pinch flats are a risk), find that about 25psi is reasonable compromise for paved/dirt. Street handling is good for a knobby although I haven’t pushed it hard or above 120km/hr because I’d like to keep the knobs in decent shape for a while longer. Overall I’d probably try something else before replacing with same, but depending on availability of options I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the D606 front again.
I put this rear tire on my old '84 XR500 after seeing how they wore on a friend's XR650, Compared to other, softer compounds like Maxxis tires and the like, while you may give up a little traction when new, after 100 hours the Maxxis will have NO traction, while these will still perform well, the tread blocks tend to keep a good sharp edge and don't get chipped out which is often more important than tread depth for traction.Work great in hard pack, and shale that will eat other tires for breakfast, not the best out there in sand and mud, but they'll do it acceptably, and with the really stiff casing, you probably won't get a flat, but even if you do, you can probably ride home no problem!Because of the hard compound and how stiff they are, they're particularly ... MoreI put this rear tire on my old '84 XR500 after seeing how they wore on a friend's XR650, Compared to other, softer compounds like Maxxis tires and the like, while you may give up a little traction when new, after 100 hours the Maxxis will have NO traction, while these will still perform well, the tread blocks tend to keep a good sharp edge and don't get chipped out which is often more important than tread depth for traction.Work great in hard pack, and shale that will eat other tires for breakfast, not the best out there in sand and mud, but they'll do it acceptably, and with the really stiff casing, you probably won't get a flat, but even if you do, you can probably ride home no problem!Because of the hard compound and how stiff they are, they're particularly suited for the big torquey thumpers, 400cc and up, probably can use a softer tire on the smaller bikes. I ride my bike daily on the farm and go for a few rips on the weekend, I get several years out of a rear
The D 606 I purchased from Fortnine delaminated within 10 km of installation. The bead tore out of the tire and it detached from the wheel completely on one side. This happened while riding in traffic. In over 44 years on a motorcycle, I have NEVER encountered anything remotely like this.Fortunately, I was able to keep the bike upright and not get hit by surrounding traffic and was able to get it off the road safely.
Bought these as an upgrade from the stock Continental tires as they were more street oriented. Tossed on these D606 tires tested them for a day or two and then took the bike straight to a sprint enduro in Alabama with these being the only thing Ive changed, didnt even remove the tag. The tires shockingly did amazing while pushing silty grass track and super tight single track at a B level pace. These will be the only tires I ever run on my dual sport!-m-2023 KTM 500 EXC-F--
