I have used many of these tires over the years on a lot of old British bikes. They are not the quality that they were when they were made in England but that is not to say that they are not good. They are. Can't believe the price increase over the last couple of years but welcome to America today.

Cool look, not as smooth as my OE tire

Bought this for my '76 XS650 since I already had one on the rear. Definitely a cool look, but surprisingly more rough and bumpy on the road than the OE tire with traditional car-style treads. My bike is a true cafe racer bike in the way I use it, so it's fine, but if I road on the highways for longer distances then I'd be changing tires.

Good Tire

This tire was on my bike when I got it (74 cb550). I decided to swap it out for an identical replacement since I noticed some side wall cracks, after close inspection and 2000k of riding and not know how old the tire was. After receiving the new tire for comparison I realized the original was really worn out. Despite the wear it was great on dry, wet and gravel conditions. Never slipped or squirreled out on me. So the new one should kill it!

Great Tire for Your Classic Bike
24 October 2017

I purchased this 3.25x19 K70 front tire for my 1968 Triumph Daytona 500. Ordering the tire was super easy and it arrived very quickly. I have been using the Dunlop K70 Gold Seal tires on my British bikes since the '90's and along with having the correct type of tire and look for most of these bikes, they ride well too. I'm not a long distance rider, so these last me a while. The only thing about this tire, is that it is made in Indonesia and seems a hair lower profile, like a metric tire, as opposed to the made in Japan and older made in Great Britain tires which are in inch sizes. Although, this tire certainly fits the bill.

Great for vintage bikes
26 February 2019

I ride vintage bikes - BSA and Triumph - and I like having tires that look like they're from the same era as the bikes. I'm certain that these don't match the performance of the best contemporary tires, but although they have a vintage tread pattern they are made with contemporary rubber compounds. I don't race, but I really enjoy winding roads and fast corners and have never felt that these tires have any shortcomings for the way I ride.

Great tyre

These look great on my Enfield, much better than the original Avon Speedmaster MkII. Will be replacing the rear next and plan on using this same Dunlop. Only downside is the 1 week turnaround time to get it mounted.

Perfect tire for vintage Triumph resto
26 October 2017

Probably better compound than the originals we rode on 40 years ago but the appearance is identical to the classic K70s that came on so many classic Brit bikes. At 69 I no longer ride like I did in 1969, no longer pushing the bike or myself to the limits, but the current K70s are fine for as hard as I want to ride a vintage bike.Service from Fortnine is outstanding. Fast delivery even though we live in the bush. No problems at all.

That classic look that still works well!
26 April 2021

Just ordered my second rear tyre for the ole TX as the first one I had purchased is nearing the end of it's service life (currently 3,500 miles on it). The front tyre still appears to be near new looking. The roads I am stuck driving on to get to the twisty roads are more or less straight. So it flattens in the middle. However, the tyres hold the road quite well in those twists.

Too skinny, kind of lame looking
24 March 2016

I wanted something vintage for a 70's Yamaha. The size I ordered was correct for the bike but it looked really skinny and pretty lame. I wish there were more size options which would allow a beefier tire with the vintage look. I'm sure it is a great tire, but it wasn't the style I was looking for. The quality, value and price were good, jsut not the right tire for my application.

Traditional greatness
22 January 2012

The K-70 has been around at least 50 years for a reason...It's a great tire, with a universal tread that works for about every use a normal rider could encounter. In the 60's, 70's and 80's THE street /trail tire of choice was the K-70 for everything from 250's Scramblers through Sportsters, touring BMWs through AMA open class flat track miles. (I still have one on the rear of my '63 Sportster!)Ground/burned down to a flat tread profile, there was no better tire for street class NHRA drag racing. In the curves and hills around old Austin there were none better for playing Sunday morning road racer.Long wearing, great traction, all surface and all weather tire... Simply one of the classic best all around tires on the market.Hunt elsewhere for other sizes...
