This is perfect for beginners and anyone wanting to test out a few different picks. Definitely worth going for if you don’t know what suits you best. I made the mistake of buying a single type before and it just wasn’t right but these are all great quality and has really helped me realise what thickness/size/grip is best for me. Jim Dunlop seems undeniably the best brand so this is the ideal product. So, so pleased at this incredibly good price.

A good variety pack

After years of using standard Fender heavy picks, and wearing through them at the rate of 1 time a night (I guess I pick heavy), I decided to try some different materials. I got this from MF and a handful of other picks from a local music store. While I haven't found one that I am sticking with yet, I'm enjoying having a little box of variety picks to try out. I know from acoustic guitar that pick material changes the tone quite dramatically, and while that may be a little less on an electric, it still is noticeable.

Eh, it's just a bag of picks and there is not an assortment, they are all medium to heavy thickness. I do not recommend this product, I would keep shopping for others.

What more is there to say, other than 12 pieces of perfection. So much so that I’ve had a hard time choosing my favourite pieces. And that has changed multiple times… If you like med-hard picks, then it’s all here!Various shapes and sizes and feels and grips.Literally spoiled for choice!

Great variety.

After years of off-and-on playing, I decided I didn't want to go back to my worn super-thick Big Stubby or dirty-feeling Gator Grips.Buying a variety pack helps you discover what you want in a pick.I've become a huge fan of the 1.14mm Gator Grip (the edge isn't as rounded as the 2mm) and have now decided that I will be buying a pack of the heaviest Max-Grip Nylons I can find. The Ultex Sharps are nice but take some getting used to, and the Jazz 3 is sweet but a little small for my strumming, for my tastes.Even Dunlop's basic picks in Ultex and Tortex are nicer than your basic penny-bucket picks. There's even a standard heavy celluloid pick, for comparison. My one complaint is that the Jazz 3 is the thickest one in the pack at 1.3mm. Great way to feel what works for you
29 April 2018

Im a Army veteran looking for a constructive hobby so I decided to take up guitar again (Last attempt I was a teenager and guitar hero was all the rage then; thought real guitar was too difficult and gave up then) I had kept my old Squire Stratocaster I bought as a kid and fixed that baby up like new. Only trouble I had was that I had zero picks left for they were small and got lost or tossed over the years. I wasn't sure what kind of pick would suit my needs so I went with a verity pack so I can feel things out and make a note to order a gross of the pick I liked best. Of all the picks I liked the Dunlop Ultex Sharp 1.14 best of all. For the money you cannot do much wrong and for a domestic made pick its well worth it.

On the suggestion of my guitar instructor...

He wanted me to try a lighter pick. I have been loyal to the Ernie Ball Prodigy 2.0 for a few years but I went ahead with his suggestion. I went with the Dunlop variety pack (Medium-Heavy) and found the Gator Grip picks much to my liking.

Perfect Solution for Recording Guitar
5 January 2020

I have a pick dish on my recording desk filled with Dunlop picks. Every time I record a new part I find the pick that suits the tone and expression I'm seeking. The variety that's available in the pack is perfect for achieving my recording goals. This is a fantastic and convenient product!

Pick it up if you want a variety of sizes to experiment with
17 March 2021

I don't feel like I found my exact right pick but I'm favoring the .88 mm size which was the thinnest pick in the pack. Then it goes up to 1.0 and 1.14. Good to have a variety when I didn't know what I was looking for. I find the ones that have ridges for grip less easy to play with without it slipping.
