Dependable air purifier, hot+cool
My husband and I purchased this unit after researching various air purifiers. We have two other Dyson fan/heat units that we use periodically and already knew how trustworthy the Dyson name is. This helped us to make our final decision to purchase this particular air purifier. We downloaded the app and control it remotely, but also have the ability to use the remote that was included. It works very well to detect any allergens or smells and eliminates them quickly but I have also used it to cool down after I exercise. Given the fact that it is now summer in the south, we haven’t actually had a need to use the heating feature other than to check and be sure it works. We’re excited to have this in our home and trust that it will continue to do what it says it will do. ... MoreMy husband and I purchased this unit after researching various air purifiers. It can be set to oscillate or be stable in one particular position, it has a timer on it, as well as a night mode. All of this can be operated via the remote or the app I downloaded on my phone.... Disappointed- could be better
I have a few frustrations with this machine. The biggest being it doesn’t purify or run when the temperature is set at what it is in the room. So it either has to be degrees hotter or colder than your room temp to even work. So I’m constantly increasing or decreasing the temperature so it actually runs which is frustrating especially considering you can’t adjust the temperature on your phone you have to do it from the remote. I don’t really understand the rational, what’s the difference from me using my phone VS using a remote to adjust the heat, it’s not like you can turn the heat up to 100 so I don’t really get that it’s made that way for safety. Also the app information like the contaminants are really generic and disappointing. For nearly $700 I would expect to ... MoreI have a few frustrations with this machine. Also the app information like the contaminants are really generic and disappointing. For nearly $700 I would expect to get more data than just generic information. I also don’t believe the data. The first time I turned it on it’s said I have good air quality with really low contaminates when I know that’s not the case. I got it because I was afraid I have mold and my apartment just has an off smell and the air is just thick so there is no way it’s that good. I also have 2 cats and a dog so that didn’t make sense to me. Features I do like is how lightweight and portable it is. I like the aesthetic and how you can change the airflow front or backwards and adjusting the oscillation. I like there is the app functionality but wish you could adjust temperature with it. It was really easy to put together and not hard to figure out how to setup.... Show more

Don't buy Dyson
I bought the Dyson - HP04 Pure Hot + Cool about two years to manage my allergies, and it worked great until I made it work to maximum capacity when the Canadian wildfire smoke hit NYC. I contacted the company and was told ridiculous suggestions like cleaning the machine, or they will give me 20% off for buying a new machine.Dyson made no attempts to try and fix the machine or provide me with a new machine. I understand that the machine would not last forever, but it should not have broken when I made it work to full capacity during the Canadian wildfire smoke. They should be more honest and tell the truth that their machines may break down with wildfire smoke, and they will not attempt to fix or replace your costly machine.During the peak of the Canadian ... Happy with my purchase
The Dyson HP07 is my third purifier. I purchased this one for the master bedroom. The app is fantastic. It was fascinating to see how the air quality in the room fluctuated throughout the day. Additionally the app allows you to operate the Dyson when you're out of the house. The heating function works well. It has kept the master bedroom at a nice temp. 22 degrees. A bit cool at night but not "cold". Getting up in the morning is certainly easier now. Noise wise. Well I have tinnitus so my opinion isn't worth much. It doesn't wake me when it kicks in.My take is that the HP07 is more than the sum of it's parts. It's well constructed, the replacement filters are on par with competitors, the app interface is fantastic, build quality is high (in this, the age of rubbish products.), the heat works well for a bedroom (I can't comment on larger living area's). It is pricey (I'm still smarting at the cost). If you are just wanting a fan maybe go for something else or another model. If you are after just an air purifier get a dedicated air purifier (tip, look at replacement filters cost/availability and don't "save" money getting a small one.). Last word. This works well for keeping a bedroom warm, filters the air, lets you know the air quality outside as well as at the machine level, and also works as a fan during summer. IMHO it's worth paying that little extra.Last Last word. The staff at Good Guys Carseldine Homemaker Centre are excellent. Their service is top notch and resulted in my customer loyalty... Show more

Loud and Broken
Terrible experience with this product. First, when the heater is on at night and the fan cycles, it wakes you up out of a sound sleep with a high pitched whining sound. It's like there's a jet engine in your bedroom. So I stopped using the heat function a long time ago. Second, it failed after its warranty expired. Exclamation point inside a triangle. Supposedly needs circuit board replace, a not uncommon problem in this unit according to online reviews. And third, after spending a half hour on the phone with their technicians, then an hour in the car to and from the service center, I'm told the part to fix the problem is not in stock and they don't have a estimated delivery time for the part -- other than "before the end of the year." (The technicians at Dyson couldn't have told me this on the phone when they KNOW it's an existing problem?). Yet their phone systems brags about their "iconic service." Yeah, designing an $800 fan that has a known system board failure issue, then expecting you to pay for its repair, THEN expecting you to wait 6 months to repair it... that's pretty iconic. THIS is the company whose products we should trust with our hard-earned money?... Show more

Overpriced and not cool
I expected more from this product for a MSRP of ~$750. The "cool" setting doesn't really cool down the air, as the moniker would suggest, it just pushes out air like a regular fan. It "cools" you about as much as a regular box fan would. If I didn't know the price of the fan, I would say it was worth maybe $500, taking into account the air purifier+fan combo. It can be quiet on low setting, it does get quite noisy when you want a strong stream of air, which it does provide. There's no air chopping noise like a regular fan, so there's that. I would say the price is for the brand and not for the product, over-priced in my opinion. Also, 2 year warranty? That doesn't sound very good for a product with such a hefty price tag. It does however do a great job at producing ... MoreI expected more from this product for a MSRP of ~$750. Quality Does Not Match Price Point
I bought this maybe a month or two ago. Immediately out of the box, the external appearance was fantastic. My dread set in the moment I turned it on. The fan motor sounds like it is off balance or poorly made. This is especially true at low speed settings where it produces a lot of vibration and "ticky" noises. I read similar reviews online, but I did not think it could be nearly this bad. For close to $1,000 I expect a silent operation other than airflow noise. It does not sound like it's broken, it sounds like they skimped hard on quality control. Unfortunately you're paying for the name, and not for the quality of manufacturing with this item.I kept it because it makes a huge difference with my allergies, and the heating function works okay. Unfortunately you're paying for the name, and not for the quality of manufacturing with this item.I kept it because it makes a huge difference with my allergies, and the heating function works okay. It is confounding to me that in heat mode there is not any option to have it circulate/blow non-heated air after the ambient room temperature is reached. That is just lazy programming. So many complaints online could be fixed if they took another week to program some new features. These are operated by easily modified microcontrollers.Pros:- Allergies are greatly improvedCons:- Poor quality control- Lack of software features that are easilyimplemented by any amateur electronics hobbyist*Disclaimer:My critical review of this item is amplified by the price point of this machine. If it cost half as much as it does, I would probably give it 4 stars since my expectations would be lower.... Show more

Here's why I find it impressive:Superior Air Purification: The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP07 is exceptional when it comes to purifying the air. Its advanced filtration system effectively captures allergens, pollutants, and odors, leaving the air noticeably cleaner and fresher. The HEPA and activated carbon filters ensure a high standard of air quality, which is particularly beneficial for those with allergies or sensitivities.Versatile Heating and Cooling: The HP07 offers both heating and cooling capabilities, making it a versatile year-round appliance. Whether it's providing a gentle breeze during the summer or warming up a chilly room in the winter, this device delivers consistent performance. The Jet Focus technology enables targeted airflow, allowing me to personalize my comfort zone.Smart Integration: The ability to connect the HP07 to Wi-Fi and integrate it with Google Home Routines is a significant advantage. It provides the convenience of controlling the device remotely and incorporating it into my smart home ecosystem. Being able to include the purifier in my routines, adjusting settings through voice commands, and automating its operation adds a layer of ease and efficiency to my daily life.Sleek Design and User-Friendly Interface: Dyson's attention to design and usability is evident in the HP07. The tower form factor is sleek and modern, seamlessly blending into any space. The user interface is intuitive, with a clear display and straightforward controls that make it easy to customize settings and monitor air quality. However, the limitation of not being able to control the temperature gauge via the app or Google Home due to UL 1278 compliance is a disappointment. It would have been convenient to have complete control over all aspects of the device remotely. Nevertheless, considering the device's overall performance and functionality, it doesn't significantly diminish its value. In summary, the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP07 is a smart and versatile appliance that excels in air purification, heating, and cooling. Its integration with Wi-Fi and Google Home Routines enhances convenience and ease of use. While the temperature control limitation is unfortunate, the HP07's superior air quality, versatility, smart integration, and elegant design make it a reliable choice for improving both comfort and indoor air quality. It's a four-star device that stands out among its competitors in the market.... Show more

Why is the motor whine an unfixable problem?
This is my third purifier. I had two older models (HP03 and HP04 I think), and all of them developed the unbearable motor whine noise.Every time I read through reviews, I find that a large majority of poor ratings are due to this issue. It clearly appears to be a constant pain point for customers that results in poor ratings, frustration with the brand and probably returns. So why is it that after 7 iterations of the product, Dyson still seemingly hasn’t dedicated any R&D into addressing this issue? Dyson supposedly prides itself in its advanced engineering, surely this is not a problem that is beyond the capabilities of Dysons engineering team to solve? And one final suggestion - the air intake shrouds probably deserve a second look. Both the outer shell and the inner shell should probably be made from a mesh material that would allow the unit to breathe. The current design with punched out holes obstructs probably 50% of available surface area for air intake with plastic and probably forces the motor to work much harder than necessary. This also likely results in overall worse air purifying performance which is the key selling point of the product. It’s disappointing to see these flaws remain unaddressed iteration after iteration. Please dedicate more time and focus towards foundational design issues instead of slapping on more software gimmicks.... Show more
