As I experience an allergic reaction to pollens and other airborne pollutants I am finding the Dyson Purifier very helpful in reducing pollutants in my home. This is a godsend. The airflow is gentle and quiet. Initially it feels as though the fan is not fast enough however I think that's because I am used to a loud and "turbo charged" commercial fan. The Night Mode is very quiet for a peaceful night's sleep. The unit is lightweight so easily moved from room to room. I've very happy with it and would recommend this fan.

Prior to purchasing this I tested out my father’s heating and cooling Dyson fan and it moved the air well. I bought this TP07 because I didn’t care so much about the cooling and thought the bigger size would move the air in our bedroom more. While I value the air purifying of this product, I really need the air movement & white noise when sleeping. I am disappointed in the TP07, it seems to move the air less than the smaller heat/cooling one I had tested out. I’ve had this for a month and a half. I bought it when we moved my mother in with us. She is allergic to cats and I needed something to keep the air clean for her. I haven’t had to turn the purifier up beyond 5 and it is accomplishing everything we need it to regarding pure air quality. To comment on the reviews complaining about the noise, I have no complaints. I never met a fan that didn’t make noise when turned all the way up. The Dyson isn’t obnoxious, and it’s a great white noise if you sleep next to someone who snores at night. I purchased a different air purifier prior to buying this one (we have one on each floor). We got really tired of our tower fans squeaking and having to take apart the entire casing just to clean the fans inside. We also had a separate smaller air purifier in the bedroom. With a baby on the way, and needing free up some space, we bought this Dyson fan/air purifier. We were pretty skeptical at first because of the price point... It is markedly way more expensive than any other fan out there, but we have other Dyson products already and we decided to give it a try.We were not disappointed. We love that the fan isn't very loud. We love the combo of the fan and function of the air purifier, which REALLY works. We also use the continuous monitoring so we can see the stats of what pollutants if any are present. It is VERY accurate. As soon as we used some ... As soon as we used some cleaning products that had some type of smell or my belly butter that had natrual scent (but a scent nonetheless), it was detected by this Dyson. So far we love this machine and wished that thae cool/hot/air purifiter/humidifer combo would come in a taller version.
Great design, fair build quality, some nice features, limited in some desirable functionality and inconsistent operation between units. As background, I own three TP07’s and have experience with other purifiers (including 2 different models and 6 Blueair units). The Dyson app could use some enhancements to improve the functional capabilities of the unit. For example, the app is unable to apply the desired default operations across all models; one must program each separately (a hassle given how the app is programmed). The app (and the TP07) cannot be programmed for scheduled operations while also using the ‘auto’ function (e.g. run the purifier each day between 9a-11a and/or run the purifier for 10 min each hour, and then revert to ‘auto’ where the purifier ... For example, the app is unable to apply the desired default operations across all models; one must program each separately (a hassle given how the app is programmed). The app (and the TP07) cannot be programmed for scheduled operations while also using the ‘auto’ function (e.g. run the purifier each day between 9a-11a and/or run the purifier for 10 min each hour, and then revert to ‘auto’ where the purifier automatically runs when it detects a higher concentration of dust, smoke, etc.). If you use ‘auto’, you cannot use scheduling. If you use scheduling, you cannot also use auto mode. If you use scheduling, the device will only run when scheduled and not revert to automatic operation. If there is a way to schedule run time operation for a block of time or for ‘x’ minutes per hours via the app (which I could not), then the app should be more intuitive so I could figure out a way to do it (I tried and failed; it doesn’t look like the app has this desired/needed capability). I also found the ‘auto’ sensing varies greatly between units. Placing all three TP07s in the same room equal distance from a diffusor with essential oils, where each machine was in ‘auto’ mode, each machine read the air quality differently, one starting immediately at a relatively high fan speed, the other starting later but at a lower fan speed, and one sometimes not automatically starting at all; each diffusor also presenting different air quality readings. While not a strictly controlled scientific experiment, I did find the diffusor each consistently operating differently from the others despite altering the variables in my in-home experiment (distance/location of the purifier from the diffusor, different levels of diffusor output, etc). Regardless of what I did, each machine operated consistently itself, but differently from the ‘auto’ sensing capability of the others. For better or worse, my household air is relatively clean (which is why the TP07 doesn’t turn off often in ‘auto’ mode). Yet, I bought the TP07 for purifying the air as well as circulating the air in my rooms (but not necessarily running all the time to circulate air). lastly, build quality. For the price, the unit feels ‘cheap’ with its lightweight plastic parts (looks fantastic though). Fix the app, fix the TP07 operation, ensure consistently in operation between the unites, beef up the build quality, and I’d give 5 stars. I’ve had 6 Blueair units running 7x24x365 for 10 plus years, the build quality of the Dyson doesn’t inspire such confidence. For me, it’s a 3 star rating today.
I have had this machine for two months and already I have noticed a high pitched noise occurring no matter the fan speed. It's quite annoying and for the price I paid should not be occurring, especially so soon after I bought it. My other Dyson I bought many years ago is still running strong. Now that I have spent time with this newer machine I can tell the build quality has gone down. Additionally I reached out to support, they mentioned I would need to send in my machine and it would take 10-15 days for repairs. I told the support person the air quality in NYC has been pretty bad lately and I needed an air purifier, if they could ship me one and I'd return the "broken" machine, the support person told me this was not possible. Take this product off the market until you can build something of quality that will last, so wasteful!
Purchased about 2 years ago. First the positives: The app is great. Lets you understand and track air quality over time. Being able to remotely control the unit via wifi is a more useful feature than I originally expected. It also looks nice. But now the negatives: It often makes a high pitch whining sound especially after running for prolonged periods. Highly annoying. It is not especially powerful even at its highest setting - in other words do not expect it to generate a strong cooling breeze that you can feel. Conclusion - this is an expensive machine (both upfront cost and operating costs) and simply not the best-in-class. For the same money you could buy an excellent fan (i.e. super quiet and efficient) and a separate air purifier. You would still have money ... MorePurchased about 2 years ago. After a week of use this air purifier/cooling fan has proven itself to be superb at the basics of moving air and filtering/purifying but what turns this into an exceptional product is what I have found to be the combination of function, complexity made simple and controllability. At its most basic the machine moves phenomenal quantities of air quietly and efficiently. The filtration works very well indeed, if my relief from tree pollen hayfever over the last week is anything to go by.The thought and design that has clearly gone into this Purifier Cool starts with the notably recyclable packaging, which incidentally had protected it from the couriers best attempts to damage it! Although the outer box was punctured everything inside was well protected and undamaged ... Although the outer box was punctured everything inside was well protected and undamaged It was very easy to unpack and set up, only requiring two filters to be fitted, downloading an app and connecting. A simple and well thought out setup instruction leaflet a bit bigger than a single side of A4 that contained both text and pictures was very helpful, particularly for someone who doesn't like ploughing through lengthy manuals! The software installation and setup was simple, quick and on the IOS version I was using, faultless. It was a bit of a shock when I first sat down 5 metres away from the Purifier to find that even on a quiet fan setting 3 (of 10) I could feel a cooling breeze. Even better was when I discovered whilst exploring the app that I could very easily remotely adjust the direction of the fan rather than having to go to the fan and move it manually by trial and error. This example is representative of how easy it is to to control the Purifier with the app and how much thought has gone into the product. If you are using the Purifier for just purification there is a helpful auto setting that makes use of the exceptionally wide range of sensors and adjusts the fan speed accordingly.Whilst on the subject of sensors, if you want to know how good the air quality is in your home then this machine covers pretty much everything that is likely to be of concern in most homes and goes well beyond anything I have seen before. As it has a carbon HEPA filter I believe it can deal with most, if not all of the pollutants the sensors detect.Through the app you can set up voice control using Siri or Alexa and also schedule when the Purifier operates. I haven't used either of these functions but it was nice to discover they were available.I have found the app so easy to use it is highly unlikely that I will use the small remote control that comes with the machine very often and usefully attaches magnetically to the top of the 'magnifier loop'. From previous experience I know this helps to cut down significantly on those "where is the remote" moments. The Purifier does have a small screen on which you can access information but I found it far easier to use the excellent app. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in our view we found the somewhat futuristic design fits in well in many spaces because of its tall slim design. In a more modern interior decor it is a good looking piece of tech that wouldn't need hiding away. In older style rooms, being controlled from a phone using wireless technology there is no need to have line of sight for an infra red remote which means you can place the Purifier where only the slim upper half (magnifier loop) can be seen.It was good to see that Dyson have retained the Night Mode that pushes air in a more diffuse way out of the back of magnifier loop, meaning you can use it in a bedroom overnight without excessive drafts or noise disturbing your sleep whilst still purifying the air. I have used this function on a previous purifier model and found it to be very useful.
It is nice to get what you pay for with any product, and—sadly—that rarely happens. This is NOT the case with the Dyson Purifier Cool TP07, in my opinion. This is a high-quality product. As others have stated in their review, the unit has a higher initial price than most consumers whom are looking to buy an indoor fan. Well, yes; but this is so much more than just a fan. With features such as HEPA filtration and Bluetooth connectivity via the free Dyson app, a considerable amount of information is constantly available to the consumer. One reviewer stated the unit did not seem to move enough air; that no air flow could be felt. I cannot help but wonder if that person had the unit running in reverse. Although the unit has ten speeds available, I have never found it ... MoreIt is nice to get what you pay for with any product, and—sadly—that rarely happens. Although the unit has ten speeds available, I have never found it necessary to set the fan speed higher than six in my central Florida home. The unit is very quiet, in my opinion; barely noticeable operating at the speed I usually select (five or six).
I saw here a lot of good reviews and hoped I am getting a great technology device, but I am disappointed now.I have two devices TP02 and this TP07.After 1 week of using both, I started getting issues.TP07:1. I contacted Help the next day, and spent another 1 hour on it - and it even worsen the situation, now high-speed cold air on Auto (again, we live in severe Canadian winter :). Help Desk suggested I take it to the Service, but I don't have a car and even so, I won't do it. So, I decided to RETURN IT.TP02:I tried to reset the device (the same did not work properly when no air issues - started working at high speed, when air issues - not turning on being on AUTO). But then I could not connect the device to the App, always offline. The Help Desk could not resolve it.So I am frustrated and did not expect such a series of troubleshooting with such expensive devices.
