Dyson Refurbished Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link HP02 Purifier Heater (White/Silver)

This is a good fan and circulates the air. Well the heater is decent although it isn’t as warm as other space heaters I’ve used which kind of surprised me. The air purifier is a nice bonus and seems to work well. The one thing that is a bummer is that for some reason this product cannot be controlled remotely when you want to use the heating function. Other features can be controlled remotely via the app, but not the Heater. I guess there’s some law that prevents Dyson from doing that… but this isn’t really made clear in the product listing and I’m not sure how I feel about it. Pretty undecided, whether or not this was worth it for the money. It works well, but costs a fortune.

I’ve had this purifier for about three years now and I really love it. It easily and effectively heats my living/dining area. When it’s smokey out I can monitor the air quality on the app and make sure we have clean air inside even when outside it’s 200+ AQI. Bottom line is I would say if you’re wanting the air purifying aspect of this, it’s awesome and way better than buying a cheaper air filter. If you’re really only concerned with heating or cooling, opt for a cheaper space heater or fan.

DO NOT BUY

They erased my other review but I have been through 3 machine swaps now and seriously they do not inspect the machines at all. The first one started to burn up with smoke everywhere and when I ask for a replacement they wanted photos and how do you take photos of something that is burning inside. Second machine didn't even turn on... and I had to send this one in and waited for a while for them to inspect it before getting another one. The 3rd one immediately started burning while rotating but If I just left it alone as a no rotating air purifier it works so I decided not to bother in getting an exchange. BUT now it is just a motor burning and I can smell the motor burning. I left a message with BEST BUY messenger Sept 29th and I did not get any replies. This has been escalated up Best Buy support but I doubt that I will get any replies as my one year warranty is about up. Look a Dyson Air Purifier is a great buy, but not the refurbished ones, as the ones that you buy brand new will work for years with no problems. I have two brand new ones from years past and they continue to work perfectly including the heater and rotating; some clicking on rotating. DO NOT BUY the Refurbished Air Purifiers.

Great When it Was Working Properly

Purchased this brand new off of the Dyson store on Amazon. I was able to pick it up while it was on sale which was great. About a week after its arrival it started making a clicking like sound while oscillating. The clicking sound did seem to have decreased in volume over the next week or so, but after turning the fan up to level 10 for 10 minutes the purifier shut down and now will only display an “E” and it’s completely unusable.I have multiple Dyson vacuums and love them, but this purifier/heater has been a massive disappointment. For some reason the purifier is only returnable (not exchangeable for the same item) and the HP02 is no longer on sale and is almost $200 more than I purchased it for. Predatory behavior and bad products

This is my first buy of a Dyson product and this was my experience:- The user app was not able to connect to the device it was sold. I pused the button and the light was blinking but there was no connection to the app.- Later after I changed my password on the website the app was never able to connect again, not even with a reconnect. I made a call 3 times with no solution just apologies about issues they were having with their system.- The product in night mode (speed 4) makes as much nose as with the speed 10 because of a rattling inside the product. [Rewarded Review] Great air purifier, Gimicky Cooling Fan

This Dyson HP02 is okay. I like how it looks very elegant though there are things that I found myself unimpress. First, the cooling they advertisting isnt really true, ish. Basically, it just uses the air temperature and refresh it. I do not think there is coolant to make the air cold. Second, the app they do not have any disclaimer stating that due to Federal Regulation, the heater can’t be turn on using the app only through remote. So scheduling time where heater will kicks in is not an option. Next I don’t know but I cleaned my bedroom/office really clean but 90% of the time it tells me the air quality is fair even if the purifier has been on for over 48hrs and more. I've had a refurb dyson fan for a couple of years now. Even at the refurb price they cost about 2 or 3 times a normal fan should cost. But, the fan gives me 10 levels so that's not easy to find. Normally fans only come in a few speeds. Anyway, I noticed right off, the fan speed isn't that great. It does have two modes: wide angle and narrow focus (like a regular dyson fan) but in either mode the air movement isn't that great unless it's set to 7 or 8 or above. In milder temps, this might be useful for air circulation but it's summer now. The other dyson fan I have is better suited as a fan. I haven't had this new one long enough to tell if the other features are really worth it. I tested the heat function. I bought mine at more than half the new price so I'm ok with that. But can you get cheaper and the same features, sure. IMO, if you're looking for a fan, pass unless 10 speeds is appealing. A fan with heat, sure, maybe. An air filter, who knows. I've used several air filters over the years and none work that well. Besides an air filter is basically a fan with a filter on the air inlet so how well they work depends on the filter and how much air it moves and this one, not so much, imo. Should be just as easy to clean though as my other dyson. Get yourself an air blower and take outside once a month or so depending on use.My main reason for this review is to warn about the packaging. Came in a plain cardboard box, probably direct from dyson. Ok, no problem. There weren't any markings. It was a plain cardboard box but getting it opened was a challenge because somehow they used glue on the flaps you would normally undo to open the box. I had to use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the box and you have to be careful not to damage the fan in the process. I've never seen that before. Normally the flaps are taped shut, if at all.I also want to complain about the remotes, hoping dyson is reading this. The remotes that come with these are incredibly small and difficult to lose, or at least misplace. What are they thinking. I own two dysons and both have this dumb docking feature that's practically the worst idea. I mean, they allow you to dock the remote on top of the fan. Makes sense if you're not using it because they are so small, putting it on top of the fan makes sense but absolutely bonkers if your using the fan. Why have a remote at all that you walk over to the fan to operate? And pay 4 or 5 hundreds dollars for such a fan too?

One of my Hot + Cool Link Air Purifier HP02 has developed a click and clacking sound when turning back and forth and I had two choices 1. buy this refurbished one or 2. send my clicking and clacking dyson to a repair depot in Alberta for repairs. The repairs with shipping would probably costs just as much as this refurbished one so choice 1. was made. This Hot + Cool Link Air Purifier HP02 replaces the one in my living room which runs 24/7 non stop with no auto detect filtering as I am allergic to something somewhere so this dyson blowing straight into my face, one in my bedroom and one in my living room, keeps the allergen away from my nose and lungs. Plus the fact that this unit has a heater and there are no other air purifier heater on the market. This dyson Hot + Cool Link Air Purifier HP02 and any Dyson brand with hot + cool label are the only ones on the market that has a heater. Lastly this dyson has the ability of voice commands that you can link with Alexa by simply saying "Alexa turn on dyson" and your dyson will turn on. I have mine set to "Alexa Bedtime" and my dyson in my bedroom turns on and the whole house turns off the lights except for my bedroom. Trust me.... yeah trust me, this is the best and lowest refurbished cost of all the Dyson Air purifiers.
