Dyson HD07 Supersonic Black/Nickel Hair Dryer
The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer in Prussian Blue is engineered to deliver fast drying with control and precision. Driven by the high-speed digital motor V9, it produces a concentrated, high-pressure airflow to dry hair efficiently without relying on extreme heat. Designed with performance in mind, it supports consistent results across a wide range of hair types and styles. Intelligent heat control helps to protect hair by measuring air temperature over 40 times a second and adjusting the heat output. This continuous regulation is designed to minimise heat damage, helping to maintain the natural look and feel of the hair. Whether used daily or occasionally, the Dyson Supersonic provides a dependable drying experience with built-in safeguards for hair health. With three included attachments, it offers flexibility for a range of styling needs. The flyaway attachment directs airflow to help create smooth finishes. The styling concentrator focuses air precisely for shaping sections, while the Gentle Air attachment diffuses airflow for a softer drying experience. An intelligent sensor also detects when the unit is set down mid-style, automatically reducing heat and airflow to suit in-between moments.

Like many I hesitated over this purchase because of the steep price - but three weeks in my only regret is that I didnāt buy this sooner. I gave up blow drying my hair years ago because I lacked the time, patience or skill to spend 30+ minutes using a hair dryer and ending up with a frizzy mop that just got bundled up into a pony tail. My default was putting my hair in a bun wet and letting it air dry that way, hoping to tame the frizz and basically just keeping my hair out of the way. If I had an early meeting or had to get out the door fast there was no way I could wash my hair unless it was the night before, and I hate going to bed with wet hair. All of that has changed with the Dyson. If I had an early meeting or had to get out the door fast there was no way I could wash my hair unless it was the night before, and I hate going to bed with wet hair. All of that has changed with the Dyson. I can dry my hair in 6 minutes flat with the gentle air attachment - and not just dry, but out-the-door ready with my hair down and looking styled with minimal effort. The diffuser takes 8-10 minutes and the extra time is because I have to tame the front a little with some product after I am done drying. I let my daughter try it - she has much longer and thicker hair than me, but the diffuser took her about 8 minutes too, down from the 45+ minutes it normally takes her. Even better, I donāt feel the extreme heat or burning on my scalp that I have felt with other dryers and the noise, for me at least, is much more tolerable. I read a review that said the Dyson Supersonic is only worth it for people who wash and dry their hair every day, but I think the Dyson is also worth it for someone like me who had totally given up on blow drying and styling their hair. I have worn my hair down more times in the last three weeks than the last three years and for maybe the first time in my life I am enjoying my hair as an āaccessoryā in a way that until now I was only able to do with trips to the salon. Early morning meeting? Last minute date night? No problem. I know I can wash my hair and be ready to go in literally minutes. Drying my hair now takes less time than washing it and getting dressed and the weird part is I actually look forward to doing it. I am sure this reads like a promotional review, but it is just so refreshing to spend money on something that truly does what it says itās going to do that I felt I had to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. If I have to give a negative itās the case, which looks gorgeous but is not very practical. The inserts are all cardboard and unless you want to spend more time taking your hair dryer out and putting it away than it takes to actually dry your hair, you will probably end up getting rid of those flimsy pieces pretty quickly. That means your beautiful, expensive hair dryer ends up getting shoved in the box on top or underneath of all the attachments and it is not a very practical or elegant solution. An option for a stand or wall mount instead of the expensive but not very helpful case would be great. Other than that, thanks Dyson, for a game changing product.

Iāve watched this hairdryer presentation and in stores for years but thought how ridiculous itās a hair dryer. But the day I didnāt even catch the whole presentation even missed my preferred color but I just decided enough was enough and I ordered it. I have to admit it does dry hair faster but I would still have areas that were not smooth not shiny. I had been very careful to keep all the packaging. I decided itās going back saving a few minutes drying your hair when your retired and not trying to get to work every morning itās not worth the cost. I started putting all this stuff in those boxes and no way was all that its going back into those boxes. So I decided I would watch the presentation and see if that would help me do a better job. I have the discretionary income & could have paid full, but I waited for a discount and saved lots of rewards dollars over time before opting to making my purchase.

I cannot recommend this hairdryer enough! Itās hands down the best hairdryer Iāve ever used (previously used GHD, Silver Bullet, VS). I have thick hair which nearly reaches my bum and it dries it super fast, it also comes up really smooth and sleek looking rather than frizzy as sometimes my hair does after blow drying. I genuinely donāt even need to use straighteners anymore! Itās a gorgeous bright pink colour and has a matte finish which feels super smooth to touch. Itās a beautiful hairdryer which looks almost like an ornament to leave out on your dressing table! Another thing that surprised me was how light it is! It barely weighs anything so if you have a lot of hair and get a tired arm after a while of holding up the dryer then you certainly wonāt with this ...Ā MoreI cannot recommend this hairdryer enough! Iām writing a super long review because I genuinely LOVE this product! The only downside is the price. It is very expensive which may put a lot of people off, however, I do feel like this dryer is worth the price as itās genuinely AMAZING! One way they could possibly cut the price is to reduce the amount of attachments it comes with. I feel like most people wonāt use all of these different attachments unless itās a hairdresser who styles hair of all different types. The only reason I gave 4/5 rather than 5/5 is the price.
After using my hair dryer for about 6 months I started to hear a humming sound coming from battery pack when plugged in. The battery pack would get extremely hot as well. Could not leave plugged in, so constantly was plugging this in when I needed to use it each day. Called Dyson for assistance and was told they would send a replacement since service center was on other side of state. I had to send mine back and then once they received it they would send replacement. Unfortunately, they did not have the color I had so I had to take the standard color. Received the new one and then after 6 months this one started the humming from battery pack and got very hot. Called Dyson and this time was told this was normal, which I found hard to believe considering how hot the battery pack gets if you leave plugged in. They also told me that even though I received a replacement for my first one, I was out of warranty for the new one that I only had for 6 months. The warranty was only for 1 year from time of original purchase. The remaining 1 year warranty from new one was not valid and mine was no longer under warranty. To pay over $300 for a hair dryer and not to have new warranty for replacement does not reflect the type of product you would expect from this Dyson. I have to remember to unplug my hair dryer when done, in fear it can catch fire. If I accidentally forget I find I have to return home after leaving for work to unplug. After only about an hour the battery pack is extremely hot when left plugged in, even when not used. Iāve had other brands of hair dryers for years and none of them get hot when plugged in like this Dyson. They know thereās a problem with the battery pack and are not resolving it for their customers.
I purchased this supersonic hair drier about a month ago. I have naturally fine long curly hair which is now getting a little thinner at the front and parting line. I would say that I am still getting used to this different drying experience so my review is based on short term use. I bought this to use with the diffuser attachment only. I do not straighten my hair.so do not intend to use the other attachments that came with it. I would definately recommend that before using the drier that you watch the video on the Dyson website or other similar ones on line which help with technique and the use of products. You will then get a better result . I wish I had done this before my first use as after watching the tutorial I found the results much better than just guessing ...Ā MoreI purchased this supersonic hair drier about a month ago. You will then get a better result . I wish I had done this before my first use as after watching the tutorial I found the results much better than just guessing what to do. As I have fine hair I find that I need to have the heat setting either on cool or on the first heat setting as I do feel that unless I do this ,for me it is too hot for my scalp which was initially a concern for me. Again it is practice and now I adjust the position of the drier whilst having the diffuser attachment connected. I find that I can use the diffuser to lift my hair for a bit more volume. I have found already that my hair feels softer and my curls are not frizzy and are more defined than with my previous drier and diffuser. The drying time is amazingly quick. I also like the magnetic attachments which is so easy and the weight of the drier. As I am still a newbie to this product and still getting used to it I have not given it 5 stars. For me the only negative thing is the heat setting. I appreciate a lot of research and testing has gone into this product having read about it on the Dyson website but there is no way with my hair that I could have it on a higher heat setting. So far I am happy with the drier and would recommend it. * This is an honest customer opinion and not sponsored* :-)
I bought this 3 weeks ago as a refurbished item direct from Dyson Outlet store. Firstly it looks like new, and an absolute bargain! I often wondered if all the claims were simply hype, but having taken the plunge and purchased the Supersonic hairdryer I can honestly say that it really is different to any other dryer I have used (most expensive was a ghd dryer), and I'm impressed.1. quietest I've used2. lightest I've used, with nice balance and feel during use.3. magnetic attachments are so easy to put on and remove.4. power cable is a decent length.5. I had recently changed my hair care regime (Percy & Reed products) that had improved things but now using this dryer has advanced my hair to a new level. Hair is quicker and easier to dry with more control using first the gentle air attachment and then the concentrator nozzle. My hair looks smoother and shinier, more controlled and styled (which lasts more than an hour) and feels super soft (using lowest heat, lowest speed). Have yet to use the flyaway attachment. I still don't think I would pay the current RRP for this dryer, but am more than happy with the reduced price paid for this one. Would I return it and go back to my other (previously considered 'good') dryer ? - No, I'm a 'Dyson girl' now!
I really didnāt want to purchase this due to the price but finally took the plunge. In the short time that I have used the supersonic hair dryer, I just cannot believe how fast the dryer works on my fine textured hair. Deliberated for almost 6mths about buying the dryer purely down to the price tag. Weighed up the alternatives (GHD, cloud 9 etc) but eventually thanks to great payment offer on QVC decided to take the plunge (the no quibble return policy was a help)First time using I used on my daughter, thick mid back length hair. Liked the results and could see a comparable difference between the Dyson and my well loved Babyliss Pro, however still unsure of having invested so much money. Spent some time watching the online tutorials which were a good help, then dried my own hairā¦ā¦still unsure. However I LOVED the feel of the dryer, lightweight and compact, the attachments are brilliantly easy to change and the magnetic holds are a cracking idea. Mine came in a beautiful case which sits beautifully on my dresser and is an easy way to store both dryer and attachments. After 3/4 uses the dryer has become much easy to use and Iām more dexterous at using the attachments. My hair is noticeably shinier and the condition seems improved. Have used on both my daughters and there I can see the biggest change. Hair is smoother, shinier and wayyyyyyy straighter without a straightener in sight!Would recommend anyone sitting on the fence to try. Itās an impressive piece of kit. The power behind it is brilliantly strong and controlled, (very similar to the jets put out by a Dyson hand dryer), the ease with which attachments can be changed is great. When held each of the controls are really easy to reach to change, and the noise of the full speed setting is relatively gentle when compared with traditional dryers. Itās almost possible to hold a conversation whilst using!Overall I would wholeheartedly recommend, especially if a decent QVC offer comes up to take the sting from the price. Just be patient and play with it a good few times whilst you learn to optimise its capabilities!
This dryer is a whole different animal from all other dryers. I have extremely difficult hair, and I was floored the first time I used the Dyson. My hair is wild, frizzy, textured, and sticks out in all directions. The difference between this and my Drybar buttercup was significant and immediate. The Dyson is the only dryer that's ever been able to make sense of my hair. My Buttercup was a huge step up from my $20 drugstore dryer, which was burning my hair, but the Dyson is on another planet from the Buttercup. I will say that the Dyson is probably most worth it if you have difficult hair. If you have naturally smooth and silky hair, or hair that's only a little frizzy and easy to smooth with a lower-priced dryer, you might not get as much benefit from the Dyson. If you have naturally smooth and silky hair, or hair that's only a little frizzy and easy to smooth with a lower-priced dryer, you might not get as much benefit from the Dyson. If you have colored hair, you will also probably benefit from it due to the damage-reducing technology. I thought my Buttercup was good, but the Dyson makes it look like a horse and cart! Bottom line: Great for people with textured, frizzy, or bleached hair.If you have silky hair, I think it would also be good because it limits damage from heat styling, which is good for everyone, but if the cost is an issue, just know that it will make the most difference on problem hair.I got the gray and copper one because that's what was in stock near me. I didn't think I would like the color, but I do. I think it's a more sophisticated combo than the gray and pink. N.B. The gray is a little darker in real life than it looks in the photos. I looked at the special editions. (Fuchsia all over available at Sephora and two different blues available at Dyson only.) I realized that the special editions are all painted, which means they are vulnerable to scratches over the years. I've seen secondhand ones online for sale that had scratches. The nickel and copper is not painted so will hold up better over time. Very happy customer!
