Also love how I can just vacuum most surfaces using different heads, and found that I don't need to wipe down surfaces as often as before because of it. All heads are very useful, although I think a crevice tool would be really handy and I would purchase one separately. With that being said, all three tools that came with the vacuum are super practical and useful. Great value!

The suction is reasonable on the unit and it does come with the most common attachments you’d need; a small flat nozzle with a retractable brush, and a crevice nozzle to get into those narrow places. This unit is also good to give the car a quick once over. Like others have mentioned, it is a good unit to have to use as a more general, day-to-day, spot vacuum cleaner to keep the floor tidy but for a more thorough, deeper clean of all the floors in a home, it’s still best to have a proper vacuum unit for those times you want to do the whole house. Bought this stick vacuum cleaner mainly to save on space as I down-sized to a small home and lacked storage room for my 12-year old Dyson canister vacuum. The old one still worked perfectly, so another reason I stuck with Dyson is the reliable engineering. I like that I can just grab it from the charging cradle and whip around the house in about 15 minutes.I bought mine online after talking to one of the sales team on the phone. My only disappointment is being told that the Origin has the same accessories as the V8 Absolute. It doesnt!

The best vacuum I've ever used! Made cleaning so effortless and easy. Definitely motivates me to clean more often because of how lightweight and handy it is. Easy to empty. Manoeuvrable. Lighter than dragging around a barrel vac. Would have liked a use button that you didn't have to hold down with finger as it can be a problem with arthritic hands. Very good clean and suction.A simple push button to empty would be better that the push and pulling routine to release dust etc however as this was an early model on sale for a good price I am more than happy with performance as these features may already be on later models.
Great so far. There r 2 options of use. The max power is really powerful. The other one is ok n is quieter n can run for 40min. We had a Dyson handheld vac of an earlier model where u can store it with the long tube n head which is what we use often but not for this. The short head has to be attached when stored. So its a bit troublesome when u usually use the long tube n head but have to always switch heads to store it. Alternative u can remove the 2 smaller heads elsewhere n not on the wall storage it comes with n just leave the tube n head attached.
The V8 is a great little vacuum for around the hose and for little odd clean up jobs. I would have given it 5 stars except for the charging dock. You either have to screw it to a wall in your house (as if you would) or buy a stand to mount the charging dock on. I purchased an after market stand and it works a treat. I would recommend the DysonV8. Stay away from cheaper vacs. You think you're saving money but you'll end buying a Dyson later on.
Happy with my first Dyson cordless purchase. This replaced an alternate brand cordless that I used for about 3 years. The Dyson is much better at picking up all dust, hair and other debris without needing to worry about hair getting caught in the spinner. It's easy to empty. I use it everyday for a quick run around those heavy traffic areas. With all hardwood floors I can run it on lower power mode and it does a great job. Dyson should provide a trigger lock without having to go for an after market option. I've got a pretty strong grip. I imagine this might be a problem for some people.
We had doubts about the effectiveness of cordless vacuum cleaners in general. But this Dyson V8 dispelled them: a quality, quiet and reasonably powerful machine with excellent ergonomics. We use V8 for carpet cleaning in large bedroom over 25 sq m. It is important that our fluffy cat is not afraid of this vacuum cleaner and even allows himself to be cleaned. I've found Dyson an incredibly reliable company when it comes to consistent suction power as well as longevity. The two power settings are dynamic enough to cover all surfaces eg: couch, stairs, rugs, cars, tiles, even effective dust collection from fans and ACs. With size, setting, and head adjustability as well as the fact that it's wireless this is the perfect vacuum as long as you don't live in a gigantic property. It's only obvious flaw is probably the pricing, but I've found that this purchase was worth every coin.
Easy to navigate and picks up dirt right against skirting. Is uncomfortable to hold on switch for long periods. Feels sharp and not quite suitable for arthritic hands. Was surprised that unit does not hold charge when not plugged in. Dont really like keeping unit plugged in & on. Much quieter than previous handheld vacuum. Good suction to pick up hair & dirt. Like head feature that removes hair from roller.
