ECCO Offroad Tarmac/Moon Rock Mens Sandals

ECCO sandals are the best ever. I've had many others and these outperform them by a ECCO mile. I've worn my ECCOs ( this is my second pair) on the busy streets of Mexico City, the warm sandy beaches of San Diego, hiking the mountain trails outside Salzburg, Austria and the Alps above Lake Zurich and Lake Geneva in Switzerland just last summer. They've been excellent dog-walking sandals for Hyde Park in London and doing part of the Capitol Ring trail round greater London and returning central on the tube. Superbly comfortable, amazingly adjustable in three ways and always easy even on these old well-walked feet. They are just what I wanted and will continue to use and travel with to warm climates.

I bought this pair of Ecco sandals less than a year ago based on what I knew of Ecco as a brand. I had a few pairs of Ecco in the past that lasted me years and I thought the sandals would be a lasting investment.That was clearly a mistake. Just a few months after I started to wear them, the strap attachments to the soles started to show some degradation. Then after less than 9 months of usage, the plastic ring that holds the back strap just broke, making the shoe useless. I would have expected this from a lesser brand and a smaller budget, but not from this manufacturer and the asking price.I will return them and look for a different brand.

Very pleased with my ECCO sandals, but having said that, I still regard the Rockport sandals as my first choice and had they been available in Australia then they would have been my first choice. Nevertheless, my new ECCO sandals do seem well made. Only time will tell. 12 months of use will tell me how they compare with Rockports. So far these ECCOs seem good quality.
