I'm a fan of the Soft 7 line. I have probably half a dozen of various styles and colors in that line. This particular one as far as fit, comfort and quality has been my favorite yet. I found that it fit slightly larger than the standard Soft 7, noticeably more so in width, so I actually sized down and found it had a better fit for me. I do notice that while the toe box is wider, it doesn't feel especially tall, so if you have rounder "sausage" feet, you might find these squeezing your feet too much. They fit great on my average foot. The comfort is superior to all other models and feels more padded. Perhaps because I sized down, I also notice that the arch support falls more inline with my natural arch, so I expect long term wear to be more comfortable. The color is ... The color is slightly off-white, but the color is nice and looks great with a lot of my neutral wardrobe. I think as long as you are not wearing it with white pants or a bright white shirt, it wont be very noticeable.

I was excited to receive these and my overall first impression upon opening the box was very good.Pros: Very esthetically pleasing, stylishCons:Unfortunately, they are far from being true to size. I ordered my usual size (9-9.5/43) but the shoes fit more like a generous 10-10.5/44. I was also surprised to see that Ecco chose China as the manufacturing location for what should be higher-quality Anniversary Edition shoes; seems counter-intuitive.I went to the store to return them (no exchanges possible as the store doesn't carry this model) and upon having a conversation with the store attendant, we decided to do a side-by-side comparison with the Soft 7's of the same size. In his best estimation, it would be better to drop down 2 sizes for the most ideal fit with this particular model.Ecco really missed the boat with what should have been a top-of-the-line standout sneaker, especially at the more expensive price point. By paying 30-40% more, I can purchase similar shoes in terms of style, but handmade in Italy or the UK, and by companies known for their high-quality craftsmanship/leather work. I'll be hard-pressed to buy another pair of Ecco shoes again.

Let's get into. First off, the sizing. It's no different from any other Ecco shoes. Eccos are EU sizing. This confuses many Americans because for some reason Ecco doesn't tell you that UK sizes and US sizes are different. If you wear a size 11 in US, which is 10 in the UK, you will want 44, and so on. Get one size smaller than you would in normal US sized shoes. If you wear a 10 in the US, get the 43 aka 9. Easy. There are no half sizes in EU. The sizing is exactly the same as the soft 7. The shoe however is different in many ways, as I will show you. These are different from Soft 7. First the leather. The shoe however is different in many ways, as I will show you. These are different from Soft 7. First the leather. The leather is a solid pigment (not analine) embossed leather that feels extremely soft to the touch like chrome tanned. Almost like a glove leather. The leather does not need to be broken in like analine versions of the soft 7. Its solid pigment coated ie. not transparent/analine so it will mark or scuff much less easily in the short to medium term. In the very long term the leather will not age as well as analine. Imo the leather is of a lesser quality than the soft 7 but most consumers will actually like it better. The inside of the soft 60 has a bit more leather on the lining but otherwise the same. The biggest difference is the sole. The midsole is not a hard PU based cupsole like the soft 7. It is a very soft EVA type foam. The soft 60 does not have an outsole, whereas the soft 7 has a rubber outsole that lasts forever. The soft 60 uses ground contact foam and this will be an issue meaning it will wear down much quicker. Only in the heel area there is a harder material on the outsole, you can see it if you look at the images closely, the rest is ground contact foam. Despite the part of the shoe that contacts the ground being much softer and squishier, the inside of the shoe doesn't feel any different than the firmer soft 7. If anything, it feels firmer. You will only notice a difference when you walk. The soft 60 is much more comfortable to walk in because of this foam midsole. The foam on the soft 60 not as flexible as a broken in Soft 7 if that matters to you. The soft 60 also has a slightly higher stack height by a few mm and it has an additional mm or two of offset aka drop. The insole is different as well. The soft 60 uses a cheaper recycled open cell insole and it has two layers, the bottom layer is a thin glued in liner that is half length. They call this a "wide fit."These are the differences. Different leather, softer and solid pigment not transparent. Different construction. The soft 60 has foam midsole which is cemented to the upper. The soft 7 uses a PU based cupsole that is Strobel stitched to the upper. The soft 60 lacks an outsole other than in the heel area, as such will wear down much faster. The soft 60 is much more comfortable for walking because EVA type foam is a lot more compliant than solid PU or rubber you see in other shoes in this style.

Size and materials undoubtedly the best. It is super soft and super comfortable. The most comfortable shoe I’ve ever had from Ecco. The only downside to this shoe is the sole. The amount of wear and tear is super high on the sole of the shoe after I used it just for 2 days of walking in the city. Hence my rating.. otherwise it would have been the best and greatest shoe.I wish the sole is more durable but the rest is pretty perfect.Note: I guess it must be better for indoor use like walking in a shopping centre or to work.
I ordered the shoes that the sizing chart recommended. Shoes were too small. No "exchange" option, so I had to return and pay shipping. $200 for shoes, $35 for shipping, now will not be purchasing another size for fear of having to pay another shipping fee, in order to prevent an already expensive $200 pair of shoes turning into a $270 pair. Also, the pair I bought did not qualify for the coupon they sent, probably would not have order had i known that prior.unfortunate...
Didn't really need any breaking in because of the soft leather. Mild arch support felt good for my flat feet. Wore it for 8 hr straight at Universal Hollywood. Looks clean and fairly easy to care for with basic cleaners. I live in Washington so I also treated it with rain repellant. I just wish it had more cushion for impact, so I've been doubling up on my socks. For reference: I'm typically btw 8 and 8.5 with skinny ankles, narrow arch/sole but wider near the midfoot/ball of foot area.
My son purchased the soft 7 sneaker for me as a chxs present they were the wrong size l wear 8 med these shoes only come in half sizes they were to big had to return reordered a smaller size still didn't fit all together we spent $60 dollars in shipping.to spend that much money should have a free return this place makes it look like you get free shipping but that is false information because l had to pay shipping every time this place doesn't even have a contact number will never buy again from ecco will be sure to tell all my family and friends to never buy from Ecco shoes a sorry place to do business. I own four pair of your sneakers..Needed a new pair of black went for the special edition. Best decision.Always great support, look, comfort. Soft 60 has all that, and wow feather weight. That was the big surprise. I do tough wear. Manager at the Oregon Convention Center. I walk on concrete all day, and have to walk the building many times a day. Comfort is critical. Soft 60 is your best yet. Colors soon?? Thank you.
I walked all over Europe in this sneaker and never had tired feet or a blister, so the minute I got home, I bought my 2nd pair. I can't say enough about the comfort of this sneaker! I will be buying it in black also for the winter. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that the outer sole is showing wear much faster than I expected. I have 2 pairs of the Ecco Soft 7 sneaker and those outer soles don't wear down. I was expecting the same on this shoe. It will still be my 1st choice though...strictly because of the cushioning/arch support/comfort...it can't be beat!
The only way to get pure white leather is chrome tanning. Veg tanned leather is higher quality. These are a true analine veg tanned whit leather, high quality stuff and lasts longer, which is why it's not "pure" white. I just hope these never go mainstream in the US otherwise I'm throwing mine out. I do not want to be one of "those people." For the record, I have the black, white is very nice. No interest in the white, just wanted to educate the other reviewers because ecco is quite vauge and doesn't give much detailed info about their stuff.
