Eco Style Olive Oil Styling Gel 80 oz

The olive oil eco hair gel was a disappointing product with weak hold, watery consistency, and questionable eco-friendly claims. It failed to keep the hair in place and lacked the necessary thickness to effectively coat the strands. The product's eco-friendly claims seemed more like a marketing ploy without clear information about sustainable practices. It is not recommended, and other hair gels offer better performance.

This is definitely new packaging for Eco styling gel and I really like it! It’s gray and called my attention. That’s why I brought it once I grab it I realize that it has olive oil, and that it was actually a brand I had tried before I loved! I love seeing a product restructure and use new designs on its packaging! The texture is still very soft and jelly and it smells very light. I love a simple odor when it comes to hair gel! Soft but still has great hold without the CRUNCH!

Deceiving

Though it says 8oz, the picture they have versus what I got are not the same. They should be ashamed of themselves for using trickery as part of their business… Where are people’s values and morals??? Oh I forgot we live in a corrupted %26 money hungry world. Doing stuff like this will literally make your business fail… Do better! Yes you were honest about 8oz but not everyone knows or remembers what that looks like. So put the correct picture.

Did the formula change???

I normally order a few bottles at once, but the last batch I ordered all of them are watery. Worthless didn’t hold my hair at all. Terribly disappointed been using this same hair gel for seven years, never had this issue. I went and used an older bottle I had, just to make sure it wasn’t my hair that was changing. But my hair came out perfect with that one. Went back and tried the new bottles again, liquidy. It was a mess hair look terrible. If this is what the consistency is going to be moving forward, I need to find something else. Once my old stash runs out, I’m toast. .

Does the job

Seen a lot of good reviews about this product so was looking forward to trying out myself. I found the product applied well although can leave your hair looking a little patchy and wet in places. It definitely needs brushing through for that seamless slick look. Easy to brush out and wash out. I would say the hold was average as I still use the products on top for maximum hold rating a 5/10 for me personally

Great for dance team control without damaging hair

We use this gel for dance team. It doesn’t have the hold power of some others we’ve tried, but it holds well enough. It is definitely better for her hair than anything else we’ve tried. Her hair is soooo much healthier using this gel. My daughter’s hair is really curly and it gets damaged and breaks easily. THIS PRODUCT DOES THE JOB WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE!! Couldn’t be happier!

Just okay…

I have a love/hate relationship with this gel. A little does go a long way with this product, and the gel cast scrunches out very nicely. I like that it’s alcohol and silicone free, and the price point is also great. However, I do not find the hold of this gel to be sufficient. I have to use this in conjunction with another gel in order to get the control that I need. It’s incredibly sticky and thick and does make it slightly difficult to work into the hair to adequately style my curls. Overall, I like to use this so that I’m able to use less of my more expensive gel, but I don’t think I’d recommend this as your only product for hold or to enhance your curls.

This is garbage, mama. Changed formula is BAD!

I was a faithful Eco Styler user for years, and I recently noticed that the formula changed when the packaging did. Despite claims that there were no changes to the formula that is absolutely not the case. This gel has not even half the hold it once did. It doesn’t matter how much gel you use, it does not hold, especially slicked back styles. I am so mad that they changed a great product to a watered down, useless, throwaway product. Any recommendations for strong hold gels? I’m on the hunt!

Too sticky and doesn’t hold

I’m so disappointed that this doesn’t work with my hair. I have frizz prone 2b-3b range of curls typically. This gel is really sticky which makes it hard to evenly spread. It also means when scrunching in the curls they get stuck to your fingers on the “de-scrunch” motion which then kind of pulls the shape of the curl more straight.I found the gel did make a cast while drying but once dry it disappeared and the hold disappeared as well. After only a few hours my hair is incredibly frizzy and it’s like I didn’t even put any gel on

this is the worst “gel” i’ve ever used. i got this gel because the xtreme wet line wasn’t available at the time. worst decision ever, this gel has NO HOLD. i have 3b curls and my hair was frizzy even after using this gel. i thought gels were suppose to help frizz? guess not.. and also this gel causes flakes. it does not mix good with ANYTHING. so don’t waste your time buying this gel.. i would recommend Xtreme wetline gel. seems like that’s the only gel that helps fight frizz.
