Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 950 - Vacuum Cleaner - Robotic - Bagless

Purchased 950 series on Feb 13th 2022. Product works as expected. Then in second month the water tank failed to dispense water. Then was doing jugaad technique to make the pad wet. Called customer care to realize that a small pipe inside the sealed water tank had disconnected. Now for someone who was using filtered and softened water this came as a surprise. In addition what came as a shocker was that the tank is not covered under warranty. Not expected of a brand which prides itself on robust construction and engineering. Please be aware that they don't publish negative reviews on their website. So don't get carried away with all positive reviews. Forgot to mention that the cost of tank is Rs 4590 reduced to Rs 3990. Amazing Product

I bought two new robot vacuums this year. One of them ... a new self emptying camera based unit with great reviews, the other... my DeeBot 950.I can’t tell you how Amazing this unit is! When it’s roaming through my home, it feels very intelligent. Never crashes into stuff, never has issues returning to its base, it never gets stuck. Even with the lidar on the top this device sneaks under everything and always makes it way out. Super quiet and with the suction only attachment (have never seen this on any robot vac but I LOVE it) the noise is cut in half (no spinning brush noise).Overall this unit make my other brand look like a confused / less intelligent toy. I find myself staring at my phone every time it’s cleaning to see where it is in my home.With that said there are a few things I’d like to see changed along with some wish list items.Mopping: even on ultra water barely anything comes out (might be normal, but seems odd).Mapping: Multifloor is cool, but I can’t tell you how many times I screwed up / lost a map... needs better instructions for new users or recovery of map option / history.Mapping: I’ve defined my rooms, but every now and then I’ll see two rooms have become one or it thinks a closet is a new room... so I delete it and eventually it does it again.Clearance: it does pretty good climbing, but I have one room it can get into but cant get back out of because of the stripping in the doorway (1/4” too tall?)Mirrors: not sure anything can be done about this but we have a room with a mirror and it shows the mirror as a doorway / opening (light scattering)Pattern: it’s pattern is very efficient and typically amazing, but sometime it divides a room up into sections vs going all the from one side to the other in a straight line (seems like more work).Wish list (next model): bigger bin or self empty dock, better clearance, more range in water dispersed during mopping, volume control for the voice (pretty loud)Finally... price is really high for this robot.... it was at the upper range for me.... ironically I bought it direct and after I received it I found it on sale at Costco for $300 less. DeeBot mark pretty high I guess.

Ecovacs Service and Support sucks. It is the worst that I have ever experienced. We initially decided to repair it. Big Mistake! We spent approx. €150, they replaced and charged for Parts which was not necessary, had it in 3 times and it is still not working. Customer Satisfaction and Retention Program does not exist. They have MAJOR quality issues, especially electronics and it seems to be designed and manufactured only to last just long enough until the warranty Period ist over.Just use Google and you will find hundreds of posts over their poor electronic quality. Most of the time it is the mainboard, which means you can throw your Ecovacs away. If you do decide to repair it, be aware that the service and support sucks, they replace and charge you for Parts which have nothing to do with the original problem, warranty is not prolonged and it will most probably fail very soon again.Save your money and buy something more reliable from a company who really care about their customers.I have a degree in Electronic Engineering, so I know what I am talking about, and Ecovacs, you are more than welcome to challenge me on the above facts.So far you have decided to put your head in the sand.Shame on you, Ecovacs

Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO 950 - Awesome product.

The Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO 950 is an awesome robot vacuum. The lidar navigation system is SO much better and more efficient than my previous robot vacuums from another manufacturer. We've had it for almost 2 months now and have no real complaints. We have not tried the mopping mode yet, but vacuum mode has all the features and functionality you would expect. It has great suction, quiet, very intelligent navigation, awesome battery life, and pretty good app settings.Wi-Fi setup can be a little bit tricky if your router doesn't allow you to connect directly to your 2.4GHz network. (I had to perform a pretty technical workaround to get OZMO initially connected through my Google Wi-Fi and Pixel phones.) The ECOVACS mobile app also doesn't yet allow you to reconfigure ... MoreThe Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO 950 is an awesome robot vacuum. I wish it had a self emptying bin, but it's easy enough to manually dump. We've had it map 2 floor plans so far. I really like how it intelligently cleans the perimeter of the room and then fills in between with straight back and forth lines. It also auto-switches to lower or higher suction depending on hardwood floors or carpet. Oh, it also lets you see the cleaning lines and the OZMO's location on the floor plan map in real-time as it cleans!

Good hardware, software need more work

It's very good on hardwood and rugs, has no issues like other brands climbs on rugs and etc. Roborock S6 isn't as good.Has sensor for carpet detection and this avoid to go over carpet or rug while in mopping mode. currently unique and very useful feature. soon will be avail in roborock S5 MAX, S6 doesn't have it.Multi floor feature - also useful. roborock s6 doesn't have itwater dripping for mopping is controlled from the app, several levels - this is useful and also unique for 950cons:1. Great robot vacuum with a few flaws

I bought this vacuum cleaner from Costco about 2 months back and I've been using it 4 times a week to keep my carpets clean. previously I've had a couple of Roomba vacuum cleaners and Neato. This is the better of all the vacuums I've used so far. I love the no-go lines feature and know how thoroughly it cleans the floors most days. I'm not sure if there is an issue with the software but sometimes it finishes a complete cleaning cycle of the house within 30 minutes I and then sometimes it takes about 2.5 hours. the waistebin is large enough to hold about 2 to 3 days worth of dirt. I have also received two software updates which seemed to improve software features and usability. The larger issue i face is communication with Ecovacs. I got mailed back through the app again saying that they would send me and you said if I sent them pictures of my serial number and my email address and home address. I sent them all the information I needed and have not heard back since. if you guys are in the market to buy a robot vacuum in the approximately 5 to $600 price range, then this is probably the best option I am literally tried the neato d6, D7 and D5 roomba 985 ( which sounded like a jet plane) and they have been fairly useless. I had multiple issues with the Roomba vacuum cleaner within weeks and the customer service was over all very slow to respond. Anyway, I do hope Ecovacs improve their customer service. All will be well after that .....

I live the features

First off, I love this vacuum. I really wanted to find something to fault with it but I really can't.Before getting the Deebot I had a cheaper (around $200) robot vacuum. Using that vacuum was super helpful and served as a supplement to regular vacuuming. I’d say that robot vacuum probably allowed me to vacuum about 50% less than I did previously. However, it wasn’t “smart”. It had an app that functioned as remote to start, pause and control the path of the vacuum. This vacuum has allowed me to set up maps, boundaries where I don’t want it to clean as well as no mop zones. Because of the mapping feature, this vacuum obviously has much better coverage. My old vacuum after colliding into an obstruction would often turn around and head the opposite direction after ... MoreFirst off, I love this vacuum. This vacuum hugs furniture closely until it has found the narrowest path around the obstruction. I’ve also conveniently been able to set up virtual boundaries, which has been EXTREMELY helpful. I have a rug with tassels on either end and with my non-smart vacuum, I had to monitor it to ensure it didn’t venture on to the tasseled rug or get stuck when it occasionally tried to ramp up my furniture legs. It wasn’t hugely problematic; it just means it needed to be monitored. This vacuum doesn’t! If you have areas of concern (extra long drapes, a lot of cables/cords, tassels on a rug, very light furniture) you can just set up virtual boundaries and you don’t have to worry about it. Because of the mapping feature it also handles curved base furniture better. It doesn’t continue to try to charge ahead when it starts climbing a curve. It seems to do a better job of attempting to go around it and approaching it from different angles to “figure out” the area, rather than just backing up and trying again.Is it worth it? That depends on how much you hate vacuuming. It is an expensive product and if you’re on a budget, a cheaper robot vacuum could be enough of an aid to be worth your while. As I said, it substantially decreased my need to use a regular vacuum. However, if you’re in the market for a robot vacuum and you expected it to be expensive then I would recommend this one. The extra features really make the difference between how/ when you can use it. I have set on a schedule to vacuum every Sunday at 10am but you can set it when you’re away from the house, especially if you have boundaries setup, and you can come home to a clean floor! You can also change the vacuum intensity and the water flow levels for mopping in the app. It also has a “quiet mode”. I love all the features so If you have the budget for it, I think it’s amazing and extremely convenient. If not or you’re unsure, Id recommend checking the features of cheaper models to sort through what features are a must have and choose accordingly.

Paid $650 for this to last less than 2 years....

I had a cheaper ($250) unit that lasted more than 5 years and would have lasted beyond that had I chosen to replace the battery, as everything else was still in perfect function. Instead, due to its age, I chose to buy a new unit instead of replacing the battery. I moved from Roomba to a new brand, Ecovacs. Needless to say, I wish I hadn't. Not only did I spend more than double on this unit, it has lasted half as long. Unimpressed Ecovacs. While I can hear what sounds to be the suctioning, it is not picking up anything. All brushes, filters, and dust bins are cleaned regularly and have no blockage. I've even tried reseting the unit to factory. Of course, it is out of warranty, but still upset I paid this amount of money for it to last less than 2 years.

I have her set to vacuum in normal mode but to automatically go into deep suction mode when carpet is detected, and she finishes my entire (single level) house with over half a battery charge still left!!! Deebot is pretty good at getting herself unstuck in most situations, but occasionally one will arise that requires your assistance, and if you cant hear her voice cues, an alert will also appear on your devices with the connected Ecovacs app. While Deebot is a PHENOMENAL botvac, her mopping function is just that... a wet mopping function. It is not intended for dirty floors in need of a good scrubbing. It is more of a daily maintenance consisting a quick wet dust mopping to remove any super small debris, such as dust or pet hair, wipe up small liquid spills, and to replenish the smooth surface and shine to floor. If you choose to use this function, the app allows you to highlight "non-mopping" zones along with the "no go" virtual boundaries!! The cleaning/maintenance tool has a nifty little spot it snaps into next to the dirt bin, so you don't have to worry about remembering where the heck you put it! There are SOOOOO many things I love about this botvac that I could go on for so much longer, but I will just say that this in an awesome botvac and should you choose to give her a try, I am sure you would agree.

This vacuum ROCKS!

This vacuum ROCKS! It is almost 'set-n-forget'. The dust bin could be a little larger - but it is sufficient for two or three cleanings of a 2000 sqft house. The so-called MOP is just a rag dragged behind the unit and is worthless! It might work to dust hardwood floors but does nothing for tile floors. I have two cats and they always toss litter out of the box. This unit picks every spec of litter perfectly - not to mention all the cat hair the generate. I was/am amazed at its performance. I now run the unit automatically EVERY night! It has functioned perfectly for over 6 months. I dump the dustbin every morning on my way to the coffee pot. ;-)
