Stopped working after less than a year and it wasn’t even used often. The robot is always getting lost and now it doesn’t even connect anymore. The app is awful as well. It’s glitchy and hard to navigate. The customer service support also sucks because you have to wait a while for them to reply and their English is not good. Ever since we got the vacuum it would randomly make a loud suction noise at 3 am so we can’t leave it plugged in either. You also can’t set more than 3 maps. If you wanna clean upstairs, downstairs, and the basement, you can’t. You’re forced to overwrite one of your other maps. The suction power of the vacuum isn’t even that good because my rugs are always left looking dirty after the vacuum passes over it multiple times. Doesn't work as expected. It doesn't climb shag rug or even clean the shag rug when you keep it on top of the rug as well. Talked to customer support but doesn't help. They say multiple reasons like the anti drop sensor does thinks it's going to fall apart so it doesn't climb up to shag rug and says about the color of the rug. My rug is grey color and they say color of the rug is the problem. Seems to be funny reasons. I do have Shark robot vaccum which does perfect job all places but I choose an additional robot vaccum as this because I needed dry wet vaccum for cleaning wooden floors with some rugs on top of the floor. This vaccum doesn't do the work it has to without any manual interventions. My opinion is that they have to improve their ability to climb shag ... MoreDoesn't work as expected. Today, the cats trapped it twice with cat toys.Check the beater bar and tubing regularly for blockage. Overall great vacuum. Mopper is okay, not great. The map remembering feature is pretty great but it can only remember 2 maps. And the setup process for creating maps requires relocating the charging base. There’s almost no manual control so that’s kind of annoying when the automation does dumb things. Takes a little bit of figuring out. It would be great for a apartment. I am using it in a 3 story, multi level home and doesn’t quite work perfectly because it only saves 2 maps. For the price, which was under 300 at the time I bought it, its worth every penny. Lot of people would like the auto empty feature. I save the cost of buying the bags by just manually emptying the vac.
Ecovac DEEBOT N8 vacuum and mop with self empty. I have a single 1000 sq.ft floor and all tile with no kids, stairs, or pets. The vacuum quietly does an effective job getting every spot. I didn't have high expectations for the mop, just using water, but they were exceeded, especially since I programmed high traffic areas to use more water. I programmed the kitchen and dining area to be vacuumed and mopped twice and the three no zone areas were respected. The self empty feature works great but the replacement mops and bags are expensive. The auto schedule fits my hands off preferences as well as the "do not disturb". I love the low profile and the sensors do a great job navigating. It gets hung up in some tight areas, once it closed an open door and if it senses it's been lifted off the floor, it recovers its location pretty well. I rearranged the area around the charger and sent it to clean another area and it totally could not find the charger. This was resolved by putting the furniture back, then after it found the charger, I rearranged the furniture again and then initiated a new clean in the rearranged area. Another brain freeze moment occurred after cleaning the main brush of hair without turning it off (totally my error), it wouldn't charge on the charger or recognize the charger until I placed it a few feet from the charger and it relocated it and charged. I still have to clean behind doors, and the three no zone areas but I am very happy.

The vacuum is supposed to be an auto empty vacuum however, that feature only works 1/3 of the time. I tried contacting the company to rectify the issue and they sent us a brand new one with a brand new base after a long battle with them. On the first run with the brand new vacuum and base it did the same thing. The dustbin wasn’t even a third full and it didn’t empty at all. I even have a video to prove it and I sent it to Ecovacs. Love that if the dirt cup gets full it takes itself home to dump and goes back to where it was and restarts. The 1st 2 times it went back to charge for 3 hours as the house was dirtier then resumed. I love that I can block certain points in the house where the robot cannot go in. The Wifi set up is super easy and no issues getting started. Unfortunately there are some Cons as well: After a while, it tends to simply go back to its home charging station even if the battery is not drained. The Mop, needs major improvement - Barely washes the floor and leaves 3 streaks lines when cleaning. The Constant washing of the mopping pad is a nuisance. It Needs a bigger water tank compartment and as a suggestion a dirty tank to suck up all the dirty water separately. Otherwise, it's just dragging dirt all over the house. I used another mop robot right after and it managed to get so much dirty water out. It made me realize this mop wasn't doing much for my house. When self cleaning the vacuum out, it's extremely loud and startles my 1 year old to a point that if I'm across the house and he hears that noise, he does the puppy face and panicking. There's no alert when the tank for water is low. Sometimes the robot has a very difficult time either finding its way back home or will sit next to the home base and spent 20 to 30 minutes smacking the base or wall nearby until it finally figures out how to get back home to be charged. Not a big fan, constantly replacing the self cleaner bags. After investing so much money into this vacuum the last thing I want to do is constantly buy additional bags. Therefore for me, this personally didn't work out as much as I loved the quality of the vacuum and mapping out the house(the more it cleaned the more it has a smooth transition throughout the house). I was looking for a high quality mop however and this just wasn't it for my family. I would still recommend giving it a try and hoping this great company improves certain things in the future as the idea behind it is great!
