Edifier R1280DBs Active Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers

I was skeptical about ordering from this website at first, but the price was right so i decided to take a chance. Shipping was faster than expected and the speakers arrived in perfect condition. They sound great for the price. I love that they came with a remote and the soundfield spatializer feature is pretty cool.I'm very pleased with the speakers and very pleased with this website. I was really looking forward not only to hearing these speakers but also loving them after all the reviews I read. Setting up was indeed a breeze. There are a few very puzzling things. Either because the speakers I received are defective or maybe my ears are not sensitive enough: 1) The bass and treble attenuation keys did next to nothing to the sound even though I always prefer the neutral position. 2) I don't understand what the sound field extension button on the remote is for, in any event it made no difference either on or off. 3) The most disappointing thing (and very strange to me) about these speakers is the sound is very dull and muffled at low volume, and only slightly better at higher volume, all the time bass and treble attenuation did nothing to improve ... MoreI was really looking forward not only to hearing these speakers but also loving them after all the reviews I read. Great speakers for the cost, the sound is amazing,bass,highs, no distortion. Just got them and I am using my desktop PC or my tablet for now. Sure I see nerds, wanna be Sound Engineers using all kinds of measurements for this Hz and that Hz. If anybody sees such senseless analysis,please disregard completely. If you must use such measurements, buy a 10k to 20k pair of speakers and do all the math. In case you are off by 1 HZ, then, gotta return those bad boys.

Bought the s3000 series pro and paid 899$. The speakers blew in 3 months. Contacted edifier and they sent a replacement pair. 2 months later, they break. Contact Edifier, they sent another pair. After unpacking and setting up, I noticed there are scratches on the black. Upon further inspection, they sent me a used pair. Well i called and spoke with a supervisor and stated i paid almost 1000$ for new speakers, not used. They basically said tough shit. I asked for a partial refund as a mint condition set on amazon is 599$, they said no. They do not stand behind their products and rip you off. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything off this company as they are thieves. Im sure this review will be taken down but theyre a bunch of scam artists

Awesome pair of starter speakers for a budget

Overall, great experience. The speakers sound great for a small bedroom, can fit nicely to a computer system. Love the multitude of ports and connections, being able to connect to my phone one second, follwoed by connecting them to my laptop the next. Only minor complaint is the bass drops off in certain scenairos, but a subwoofer will fix that.

Edifier R1280DBs Active Bookshelf Speakers with Bluetooth 5.0, Sub Out & Soundfield Spacializer Black

Bought for my iMac to use with my Guitar and DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software. The sound is excellent, I connected everything up and was running in minutes. However, the Bluetooth 5 connection lagged resulting in about a half second delay from playing the instrument and the sound coming out of the speaker, a little disappointing but the audio cable is provided which I connected and the problem was resolved. So, lost a star for not being able to use the Bluetooth 5 connection, but that's the only issue.

Good speakers, nice look and good sound quality.

Amazing sound quality, did not go wrong in purchasing these speakers.Clear, loud, and nice bass. Great for listening to music.An area of concern was the connection between the two speakers, it was wired copper? I had no idea that this was still a thing, so took longer than needed to connect the speakers together.

Just ok. Not amazing.

These are decent, but don’t expect these to be a studio quality sound. Not too much high end, could use some more low end.Bass and treble can only be controlled via the knobs on the side of the speaker. The remote has little utility. It doesn’t make sense to provide bass and treble controls, but then make a controller that can’t be affect these levels.Overall, these are decent. I wouldn’t buy them again, not for this price.

Super pair of speakers!

What it does, is exactly "remove" the sounds that we try to remove with the equalizer (but there is NO need for an equalizer, it sounds GREAT!).It does NOT matter what the specs say, what matters it how we perceive the sound. And this is PERFECT!Just give it a few days to "break in". It REALLY makes a difference. Some disagree with that, but it is true, the system DOES take a little while to get "in place" so to speak. Mine did, its obvious.If you plan on EVENTUALLY getting a sub-woofer, I would DEFINITELY go that way.Getting the "s" at the end of the SKU would permit you on doing that. You would no longer need to upgrade you speakers further down the line because of that, your sub would TAKE AWAY the job of your small speakers from doing the bass. The small speaker becomes a MID RANGE speaker. With a sub your little system becomes a fantastic 3 way system.BUT seriously, if you don't listen to really really loud music you probably are just fine with the single pair. They go low enough to NOT need a sub. It's really up to you.I try to avoid going the the other guys, its good to be fair to the others, ya know?!So to sum up: I would definitively recommend buying those speakers, no doubt about it!

Terrific value bookshelf speakers from Edifier

This is an excellent bookshelf speaker for those on a budget who are trying to get the most for their dollar. I have several other bookshelf speakers from high end speaker manufacturers but wanted a pair for my spare room tv which sounded terrible. Easy to get connected by all the input offerings and the blue tooth worked fine. I have only a couple of recommendations for the manufacturers. Change the design of the volume knob on the side of the active speaker to show a zero to max with gradients. The present design just allows you to adjust the volume up and down but doesn't hit a stop point although the volume doesn't keep increasing to excess so as to damage the speakers.
