I have had a lot of really good speaker / audio sets in my time, though I don't know that I would call myself an actual "audiophile". But at the least I am pretty good at telling "cheap" vs actual quality sound. And at first, before they really got broken in, I guess I wasn't completely blown away. Over time though, I'm realizing how truly incredibly clear and full these speakers are. They're just amazing. I'm hearing lyrics I've never heard before, hearing high, mid, and low parts of songs I've been playing for 35 years that I never caught before, it's just wonderful. There's good bass, and just an overall fullness to the sound that is exactly what I wanted. The best way for me to describe the sound quality is that when I increase the volume on these...they don't ... MoreI have had a lot of really good speaker / audio sets in my time, though I don't know that I would call myself an actual "audiophile". It's almost visual, the sound gets BIGGER. It's like the sound is a magical invisible entity that as you increase the volume grows in size, it's crazy. The features rock too. No cords connecting the speakers to each other is VERY nice (though they each have to be plugged in). Bluetooth connectivity is nice for convenience, and optical in is great for my TV / games.Couple of small negatives, not enough even added together to remove a star:I agree that the remote while stylish needs some help in that you CANNOT read the letters on it in anything but direct bright light (so you end up memorizing where the power, volume, etc are). Also another small nitpick - the instructions are extremely small and vague, and don't really tell you what say "Dynamic" vs "Static" mode is (but trial and error will tell you that you want "Dynamic" every time). Also, I really, really wish they were made in USA; I suppose it would have cost hundreds more if so, but I hate supporting sending $ overseas. These were honestly a lot more $ than I wanted to spend. But they looked great, had stereo separation unlike a sound bar, didn't need a subwoofer but have great bass, had bluetooth connectivity, and looked great, so I splurged. And I wouldn't give them up for anything. This is how music should be heard, it's exactly what I've been missing for a long time now since I gave up on my old ancient huge speakers for more modern attempts. Make the leap, you won't regret it.

These speakers make music sound exciting even at low volume. This is thanks to the DSP. Crystal clear highs and booming lows. No subwoofer necessary in my case. I can't stop listening to music with these speakers. If I test an album I end up listening to the whole thing. Movies sound great as well. There's lots of input options at the back. I regularly use the optical and USB inputs. Lack of HDMI input is not an issue but would add more versatility. Remote control is more than sufficient. For the price (AU$650 with discount) I cannot recommend these active speakers highly enough, no amplifier or receiver necessary, very few wires. I mounted the speakers on Edifier's SS05 stands, the setup looks and sounds incredible.

These are fantastic speakers! It is not easy to please me if it comes to audio experience, and I was not sure what to expect from the 3-way speakers for this price. And I have been so positively surprised! They literally sound like 2-3 times more expensive sets. Crystal clear high frequencies, warm but sharp middle range plus really deep bass, which you start to clearly hear from 33Hz! (tested on on a few audio tests). This is what makes your windows and floor trembling and the guy next door mad, if you don't turn the volume down ;)I can honestly recommend them to demanding customers and music professionals, as the sound quality is really good. Please note that you get the remote and Bluetooth connection available (see tech. spec.).Also note, that the built-in amplifier is a class-D, which means that it consumes almost no power, when the speakers are on but no sound is playing (which happens very often during normal use), contrary to other classes, which would make your power smart-meter run 24/7, even when no sound is playing (they turn the power into heat then). Please also note that the speakers are not small, especially its depth, so plan wisely where to put them.My review: 5/5 => The Best Value for money you can buy at this price range.Comment for the seller: fast & save delivery, thank you!Marek

A brilliant idea of Kleernet. Clutter-free. Adds aesthetic sense to the living room. The quality of finish is a real surprise. Detailing even on the footpads of the speakers is impressive. The sound is surprisingly giving a refreshing perspective to the known collection, small nuances of the music delivered crisp without just providing the boom.Am Happy.
Upgraded to this from my Logitech Z4 which served me well for a decade. The biggest change for me was having bigger satellite speakers, the mids and highs were a lot better/ clearer coming from the bigger speakers. These speakers also do bass so you hear smaller bass sounds, especially when watching films, coming from the satellite speakers before the sub kicks in for the heavy lifting. It's been a month since purchase and I am absolutely loving them, especially revisiting old tracks and hearing instruments or sounds I hadn't heard before!Lots of connectivity options and you get a phono to aux and an optical cable in the box (about 1.5m each). I use the aux cable for the tv and the optical for my PC. I use the aux cable for the tv and the optical for my PC. The remote works well too, though you can't adjust bass or treble with it, just volume and changing source which you can do from the right speaker pretty easily (if its within reach). It's annoying the speaker cables connecting to the sub are weird propreitary cables; one looks like an old DIN connector and the other a VGA looking connector and one is shorter than the other (can't remember which) but it doesn't affect me as I have them on a PC desk so not much room to keep them apart to test the lengths. I don't think the whiny noise some have complained about with the S350DB is an issue on this, I've yet to hear anything coming from the speakers when I'm not listening to anything.I wanted to get into more serious speakers but didn't have the budget and knowledge to buy passive speakers and amps etc; this was a good compromise as active speakers and an introduction to bigger speakers.I bought this from Digitalis' eBay store as it was showing soldout on Amazon; regardless same seller and it was well packed and delivered promptly.
I am very pleased with this purchase. I needed speakers to stay connected to my main Alexa unit which is an Echo Show. I wanted speakers that were very powerful and loud but I also wanted the output to be great quality sound. I tried many and I do mean many of the big name Bluetooth speakers on the market = Bose, Anker, JBL, Klimpsh, Aiwa. I even tried a different, cheaper, set of Edifiers. But all fell short in one or more of my main requirements:LoudGood sound with little to no distortion at high volumesBluetooth capable with standard variety of other connection optionsNO auto sleep or power off function (or the ability to turn the function off)No feedback during standby (meaning if I’m not playing anything and I put my ear to the speaker, I shouldn’t hear ... MoreI am very pleased with this purchase. I’m excited about them because, seriously, I tried a lot. But one thing I realized during the search for this sound need and others, is you have to know what you want. This situation didn’t require something portable so the continuous power supply works well for this situation. By the way, both speakers have power cords and the two speakers auto connect wirelessly so there is no cord that tethers the two together. ANOTHER PLUS! But this type of speaker may not work well for your situation. That’s why I'm including all this detail because I wish I would have found this review earlier in my search. The one negative I have isn’t really about the speakers it’s that I ended up having to by the speaker stands for these and they were not cheap. I considered getting a universal or off brand stand but in the end I got the ones specifically made for these because of the quality, which the Edifier stands are very good quality. I just wish they were included with the speakers with little to no extra cost (Dream on right)Please excuse typos; I wrote this at red lights. Yeah, yeah - stop honking
I just bought these speakers recently and, as the other review says, they are massive! Great sound as well, but they do need to spaced out to get the best effect, having them on either side of your display will sound good but they sound better the further they are apart given the size of the speakers. They do tend to be a bit bass heavy compared to something like the Wharfdale AT400 I use in my home theatre setup, its a bit boomy and that does seem to affect the clarity a bit, but thats a given considering how overpowered the bass drivers are compared to the mids and tweeters (40w bass driver vs 14w mid and 14w tweeter). I haven't experienced any noteworthy distortion, but I have been using them at reasonable volume levels. It doesn't say much on the specs sheet, but from testing, it can handle 24bit/96khz through optical, and the frequency range is quite good. the XLR8 cable used to connect the left channel to the right channel is quite a nice addon, although it would've been nicer if it had connectors at both ends instead of being a permanent fixture on the right speaker, just so you could replace the cable in case it was ever damaged. On the topic of cables, it comes with a detachable power cable (always a good thing), an optical cable, a set of RCA to RCA cables, and a set of RCA to 3.5mm cable. I preferred connecting to my PC via optical cable since I hate the hiss that can come from an analogue connection. It does have treble and bass controls on the side, but I find the sound at neutral settings to be quite nice. Build quality overall is great, much nicer than I expected them to be. The only complaint that I have is the remote feels quite cheapo, and the speakers have quite a strong magnetic field so don't put anything too close to them.
I have these speakers connected to an optical connector on my tv. I also have a computer, Appletv, and cable box connected to the tv through a Hue Sync box, and use a harmony remote to control everything. Everything works great! The only weird thing is that I had to take the appletv audio setting out of surround sound mode and manually set it to stereo to make these speakers work with appletv (easy). I really like the sound of these speakers and the wireless connectivity (no surround sound wires everywhere). The power is definitely sufficient for me. As far as value they are expensive, but it was worth it to me. I would buy again.
I consider myself to be an audiophile and great sound quality is important to me. That's why I was willing to drop the cream for these speakers and it was worth my money for sure. I love deep bass and these babies deliver. Almost like subwoofers. They're rated as low as 38Hz but they actually pick up frequencies lower. Before these speakers, I have some Aiwa speakers for 23 years that were rated as low as 50Hz. They were awesome speakers, and these Edifiers are a step up with deeper bass and more mid clarity. I watched a movie for the 1st time on them the other day, Bautista's Army of the Dead, and it was like I was in a movie theater. I love these speakers
I got these speakers because they are wireless between each other, which is very convenient. I was placing them on either side of a fireplace and mantle so running a speaker wire would have been quite a pain and probably ugly as well. Of course each one has its own power cord, so they aren't completely cordless, but it is very nice to not have that wire running between each other. Also they are self-powered so you don't need an amp.I must say, the sound is pretty awesome too. These are meant to be played pretty loud in my opinion--they just sound way better when cranked up. Out of the box I was a little concerned but once I played them for a few days and adjusted the settings and input a bit, things were great. Out of the box I was a little concerned but once I played them for a few days and adjusted the settings and input a bit, things were great. I had to adjust the bass down a bit (they have a LOT of thump!) and the treble up a bit, and I put them on the dynamic setting. Also I use the USB port to either my computer or iphone (you'll need to order a USB type B to lightning cable to connect to an iphone) and this sounds way better than Bluetooth. Now when I listen to a live concert album on high volume it sounds like I am there. I wouldn't say these are speakers for classical music lovers and the like, you have to want some volume. But if you're looking for room-filling sound, in a powered speaker, with the convenience of no wires between the speakers then you have found your product! My only complaints are that the remote is not of great quality (though convenient to have); the volume setting is not remembered when you power off the speakers (beware or you might blow your eardrums out!); and it's hard or near impossible to tell what volume setting you're on, which of the four sound settings you're using, and even what input is selected. I don't consider any of these dealbreakers but others may.
