This is good overall WiFi mesh router for home. I rated 3 stars due to the lack of range compared to other competitors. Requires more mesh nodes to cover more sq. Footage. Excellent if you’re strictly using Ethernet.

A team of EERO engineers could not get it working.

If your ISP is DHCP, you will probably be ok. Im sure the mesh system would have worked great hadnt been able to be installed, but I am going to have to return the system. What a waste of time and effort for such a simple process. Eero needs to go back to the drawing board for static up setup.

The eero mesh on DAY ONE hour one made my wifi significantly slower and less efficient. No my wifi is not overloaded and I do not play video games, I also am the only person in my household. My wifi was getting 500 gigs a month and now I’m lucky if my tv can load a movie without buffering. It’s horrible and a waste of money. I do not recommend this device. It has caused a lot of frustration.

Doable regardless of electronic hype
13 July 2021

The hype on electronic hardware is just that. Wireless transmitters are in nature are Marconi distribution of signals. In that, obstruction of the signal by objects affect the the receiver. Location-location is all too important for extenders. Think more of a line of site when transmitter is above extender at 50' > 15degrees with multiple walls and equipment. At end of 100', signal very weak and receive antenna relocated to capture and mate with modem and router. (1500-2000sq ft)

Easy setup, solved my problems.

My apartment has solid concrete walls. The router installed by the local internet provider only gave good signal to 1 room, and ever other room in the small apartment had far inferior signal. My brother-in-law (IT professional) recommended I get the Eero Pro 6E 2 pack. He explained basically how to set it up. I watched a few on-line videos as well. I connected one to the existing router, then turned off the WiFi to that router through its URL. Checked the Eero, and the signal was stronger than with the previous router. I installed the second one in a few different places in the apartment, checking how it helped cover the rest of the apartment, until I was satisfied I'd found the right spot. I have had one of these for quite a while now and it has transformed my WiFi, faster speeds, better penetration. Some people find it difficult to set up, well, you do need to have a little bit of understanding in order to do this, really you need to place your Broad Band provider's Modem/Route into Modem Only Mode in order to get the best results, if you can't do this then you'll be stuck using something called Double NAT, I won't go into techy details, but it would mean slower speeds.I have also bought a second eero (not the Pro) from amazon and this was very easy to add also extended my coverage, working like a true mesh system. For me, the eero system has been a major upgrade on my home Wifi. Great roaming WiFi range coverage!
19 May 2021

Great coverage, better signal range than my previous setup consisting of 4 units, an Asus ac-rt68 with another router in bridge mode plus 2 WiFi extenders. My house layout is long, and I now get coverage throughout the house plus the entire driveway and backyard. Easy to setup. Beware that if you plan to setup an additional node with a wired connection, that the node must be in wireless range of the primary node for the setup. I set one of my additional nodes next to the primary node prior to putting it in it's final location, which was out of wireless range for setup. The app provides very good information on devices connecting/connected to the network. The one downside is that there is no web interface, so the functions are limited to the app features giving you ... MoreGreat coverage, better signal range than my previous setup consisting of 4 units, an Asus ac-rt68 with another router in bridge mode plus 2 WiFi extenders. Great system. Easy to install with lots of settings to adjustability to meet your needs.

The system works well so far. It's not quite as fast as it was when first installed, but not bad. I think occasional reboots may be needed to keep the system running at exceptional speeds.

These little units pack some serious bandwidth and range
14 April 2020

I have 2 Eero Pro's in my 1800 square foot home. When they say 1750 square feet coverage it covers it very well with one unit. I bought a second one to connect a wired device in another part of the house. The bonus was that it also boosted my speed there as well. Simple to setup. I have 5 adults in the house each with own PC and phone. Then there are several TV's and gaming consoles. Close to 20 devices connected and all have very good bandwidth. I have 200 Mbps service with Comcast/Xfinity and most speed tests performed show over 150Mbps on an individual device. No more complaints about poor internet at my house... The biggest benefit of all.

Well worth the money. Amazing results
29 March 2021

I live in a manufactured (mobile) home My problem was not week signal, it was bandwidth drop off. I had 40mgs per sec on the living room but less than one in the bedroom, however I had good signal strength in the living room. The materials in the home was robbing me of bandwidth. I hooked the mesh system up with one node hooked to the modum and 2 nodes on both sides of the home. I'm getting faster speeds everywhere than I was getting, even in the living room. I pay for 150 mgs per second but never got more than 60. Now I'm getting well over 120 most of the time. Even during high internet traffic periods I'm getting over 90 mgs per sec. This product is a gift from internet heaven....
